OMG! Tyrant's Pampered Baby Is a Valued Princess
Chapter 1597: Truly a Classical Beauty!
Tang Qian hurriedly introduced, "This is my new assistant."
Zhi’er sat there calmly, with no intention of saying hello.
Director Huang grew even more interested.
He took the initiative to sit down beside Zhi’er.
"Girl, you’ve got good potential. Interested in doing TV dramas or movies?"
Once he leaned closer to look, Director Huang finally realized this was a woman whose flesh and bone were perfectly balanced, with a very distinctive kind of beauty.
Most beauties are only pretty on the surface, and you get visual fatigue from them easily.
People like them in the film and TV business prefer artists with strong plasticity.
Take the beauty right in front of him—she was beautiful in her bone structure; every angle could show a different kind of beauty. This was exactly the kind of actress he wanted to find.
He just didn’t know how good she was at that other kind of skill.
Director Huang smiled meaningfully, his eyes roaming brazenly back and forth over Zhi’er, as if he’d already stripped her naked and examined her from head to toe.
Zhi’er seemed to notice, and her expression turned awful.
Tang Qian directly blocked Director Huang’s line of sight, smoothing things over: "You still don’t trust my assistant? The girl just got into this line of work. Let me show her the ropes for a few days. Once she’s familiar with the business and if she wants to step into the circle, I’ll have to trouble Director Huang to look after her."
Director Huang laughed loudly. "But of course!"
After speaking, his gaze fell back on Tang Qian.
Today, in order to show her ex-boyfriend Pei Luochuan that she was doing just fine, Tang Qian had dressed up deliberately.
The V-neck mermaid dress wrapped her figure in all its curves; Director Huang’s lust surged, and he swallowed a mouthful of saliva. "Little Tang, I asked you to come last night so I could go over the script with you. Why didn’t you show up?"
"Don’t think that just because you’re the female lead you’ve got it made. A lot of the core essence of the scenes still needs my personal guidance."
Tang Qian’s expression immediately turned a bit awkward. Ever since she debuted, aside from having some scandals with Pei Luochuan and flirting ambiguously with a few investors who backed her projects,
she actually had never used her body to trade for resources.
Otherwise, she wouldn’t still be a bottom-tier little star drowning in bad press.
Cheng Xiao rushed to say, "Yesterday Sister Qian wasn’t feeling well. She was doubled over with stomach pain in bed and tossing all night. She was even late getting to the set this morning."
He raised his brows at Director Huang and lowered his voice: "You know, those few days of the month for women. Nothing you can do about it. Please be understanding, Director Huang."
After hearing that, Director Huang really did lose interest.
He could only say, "Then Little Tang should rest up for the next couple of days. Just as well—Lin Wan got hurt shooting stunt scenes, so we can’t roll cameras for the next two days anyway."
"Shouldn’t Lin Wan be sent to the hospital in time for treatment?" Tang Qian asked.
Director Huang waved dismissively, completely unconcerned. "She just fainted from the fall. Our on-set private doctor already checked her over."
"And besides, the incident happened on our set. If we send her to the hospital and it leaks, it’ll sound terrible. She’ll wake up in a couple of days. It’s nothing serious."
The more he talked, the more annoyed he sounded. "What’s more, she’s holding up two days of shooting. Later the production still has to negotiate compensation with her agency."
Tang Qian had been an actress long enough to understand exactly what Director Huang meant.
The crew was simply afraid of taking responsibility, that’s why they refused to send Lin Wan to the hospital.
Otherwise, with someone falling from such a height, out cold for a whole day without waking up, the director was truly devoid of humanity.
But Director Huang was the big boss of this production. Pretty much no one dared openly contradict anything he said.
Tang Qian didn’t want to offend him, so she held her tongue.
Zhi’er kept her face cold and stayed silent.
After a few perfunctory pleasantries, Director Huang left.
Once they’d gone, Tang Qian, fuming, folded her arms and leaned back in the chair. "That damned old lecher, I honestly wish I could kick his precious balls clean off."
Zhi’er took her time sipping the creamy soup; the sweet, cloying taste melted in her mouth as she said calmly, "Just wait. He won’t be alive for much longer."
