OMG! Tyrant's Pampered Baby Is a Valued Princess
Chapter 1604: Are You Treating Me Like Air?
She let out a desperate laugh. “Hurry up and finish me off. I’ve long since stopped wanting to exist in this world. If you don’t kill me today, then someday when I get the chance, I’ll still go harm people!”
Zhi’er’s tone was calm. “You’re already a lone wild ghost, clinging to life by hatred alone. We can send you to be transcended and enter reincarnation. Why are you still bent on seeking death?”
The fierce ghost spoke in a low, hollow voice. “What’s the use of reincarnation? The ones who harmed me are already dead. I have no way to take revenge. Naturally, I can’t swallow this resentment.”
“Rather than live on so wretchedly, I might as well completely disperse like this.”
Perhaps the grievance of being drowned in the pond was too deep, leaving her with not a shred of beautiful illusion about the human world.
Zhi’er looked at her and let out a soft sigh.
“That’s not how it works. Hell has its own system to help you deal with your injustice. Maybe what you see is just that those who hurt you went through birth, aging, sickness, and death.”
“But once you go to the underworld, every evil deed they committed against you will be recorded, one by one, in the Life Book. No one can escape the punishment of cause and effect.”
The female ghost’s sobbing cut off abruptly.
She stared at Zhi’er for a long time. “Really? You mean someone will seek justice for what happened to me back then?”
“Of course,” Zhi’er nodded. “Go to hell and ask the Yin Bureau to check. You can even see how they’re dealt with.”
The female ghost’s resentment gradually turned into a faint light, and her whole being seemed less vicious and tragic.
Zhi’er knew this meant she had accepted the outcome.
So she formed a seal with one hand and slowly began to chant the spell.
Behind the female ghost, a Gate of Life and Death suddenly appeared.
At the moment she turned to step inside, Zhi’er called out to her.
“You did harm people, but keeping in mind your pitiful past, if someone in hell bullies you, then recite my name. I will hear it and lend a hand.”
The female ghost’s expression was faint. “I don’t even know the immortal’s name yet?”
“Bai Zhi’er.”
The female ghost gave a low nod, as if committing it to memory.
She turned and walked into the Gate of Life and Death.
After settling her, Zhi’er and Feng Fuce took their son and drove back to the Zeng Mansion.
Excluding Tang Qian and Pei Luochuan, and that one person lying in the hospital.
Only two people remained who might still retain the Primordial Spirit of a True God.
Out of worry, Zhi’er said to Feng Fuce in the car, “Let’s go back, change clothes, and set out first thing tomorrow morning, okay?”
Feng Fuce glanced at her between steering, his voice gentle. “What is it, afraid something else might go wrong?”
Zhi’er nodded lightly. “I just fear things won’t go as we hope.”
She was intent on resolving the matter of the Linglong Lamp.
Two people were left.
That night, Zhi’er lay in bed reading through the files.
One was a Monk, the other a hugely popular singer.
“A Monk?” Zhi’er felt that this identity really did fit the kind of style a True God would favor.
Feng Fuce finished his shower and came over, towel-drying the water from his hair.
He looked at Fen Linxing, already sound asleep beside Zhi’er.
“Should I carry him to the room next door?” Feng Fuce bent down and asked in his wife’s ear.
Zhi’er brushed aside his damp hair. “Don’t move him. He’s sleeping.”
Feng Fuce raised his brows.
It seemed Zhi’er hadn’t grasped what he really meant.
“Zhi’er.” He called her name.
But she was fully absorbed in studying the Monk’s file, starting from his life story and deeds.
“Zhi. Er.” Only when Feng Fuce once more enunciated her name, syllable by syllable.
Zhi’er finally lifted her head, a bit puzzled. “What is it, exactly?”
Yet the moment she looked up, she suddenly froze.
Feng Fuce had no shirt on, only a bathrobe tied around his waist.
His sword-like brows were slightly knit as he gripped her wrist.
That expression seemed to be asking her: are you treating me like air?
