Chapter 198: Forever Isn’t Long Enough

They returned to their rooms to shower.

After getting home, they hadn’t exchanged many words, retreating to their rooms with a silent understanding.

It was as if they both felt that if the atmosphere continued to escalate, things might get out of hand.

After changing into her pajamas and climbing into bed, Su Yuqing received a message from Chen Mo.

Chen Mo: You looked pretty tired today. Make sure to get some rest.

Yuqing: Okay, good night.

Despite being in the same house, they were like a long-distance couple, saying good night to each other over the phone.

Chen Mo smiled at the message on his phone and closed his heavy eyelids.

It had been a full day for them both, and they slept especially soundly.

They slept dreamlessly through the night. Since it was Sunday, they both allowed themselves to sleep in.

Chen Mo didn’t get up until 8:30. By the time he finished washing up and came out of his room, it was almost nine o’clock.

Su Yuqing’s door was still closed.

Chen Mo was happy for her, seeing that she was finally getting some rare, sound sleep.

He started humming a little tune as he went into the kitchen to prepare breakfast.

In Su Yuqing’s bedroom, sunlight was already filtering through the curtains.

Su Yuqing stretched like a kitten in bed before rubbing her sleepy eyes and slowly sitting up.

When she casually picked up her phone and saw that it was almost nine, she immediately got out of bed to get ready.

When she came out and saw Chen Mo busy in the kitchen, she immediately apologized, "I’m sorry, I overslept again. I should have made breakfast."

"Don’t be silly. It doesn’t matter who does it. Just sit down and get ready to eat," Chen Mo said with a casual smile.

Chen Mo saw Su Yuqing as family; there was no rule that said a specific person in the house had to do the cooking.

Su Yuqing, on the other hand, took the contract very seriously and felt she hadn’t fulfilled her duties as a nanny.

After finishing the soup, Chen Mo sat down across from Su Yuqing with a smile. "Don’t worry so much about things around the house," he said. "Even if you took a job as a nanny, you should still get a couple of days off a month. It’s Sunday, after all. Just eat, and don’t think too much."

Seeing that her thoughts had been seen through, Su Yuqing stole a glance at Chen Mo.

’How can this man be so perceptive?’

Su Yuqing felt as if he could soothe every little corner of her heart.

After breakfast, since they had nothing planned for the day, Chen Mo decided to help Su Yuqing with her studies.

After all, half a semester had passed, and the college entrance exam was less than two months away.
