The uproar and fervor of the E-sports Club were highly infectious for the young students.

Many in the watching crowd immediately went up to sign up.

Of course, a club’s membership is limited; they couldn’t just accept everyone who applies.

Some unpopular clubs would welcome anyone.

But the especially popular ones had to be selective.

Take the E-sports Club, for example. After a huge number of people signed up, they would have to hold some kind of tryout to select the most elite members once they exceeded their capacity.

Watching the lively scene at the E-sports Club, the group of six wasn’t particularly interested. They continued deeper into the activity center to explore.

The club booths around them began to show a more diverse and... peculiar style.

After passing a few unremarkable clubs, a booth with a completely different atmosphere caught their attention.

The lighting here was noticeably dimmer than elsewhere, deliberately using eerie blue spotlights and a few old-fashioned kerosene lamps (electric, of course) as the main source of illumination.

The banner hanging above the booth was deep purple, with words written in a font that looked like dripping blood: [Supernatural Research Club - Seeking the Truth Beneath the Surface].

Unlike most other clubs that had LED screens, this one’s backdrop was an "Abnormality Record Wall" plastered with all sorts of bizarre pictures, ancient symbols, star charts, blurry so-called "paranormal photos," and a huge number of newspaper clippings and notes. The content was dense and dizzying.

"Whoa... This club... has such a strange vibe..." Lin Xiaoxiao’s eyes went wide. She was both a little scared and unable to suppress her curiosity, gripping Zhou Yue’s arm tightly.

"It looks like a gathering place for enthusiasts of occultism and urban legends," Zhou Yue analyzed. She was quite calm, examining the Abnormality Record Wall with a discerning eye. "They’ve collected quite a comprehensive set of materials, but their authenticity would need to be verified."

As the two were talking, they suddenly noticed a faint, peculiar scent wafting from the booth, like a mixture of some kind of herb and sandalwood.

"What a strange fragrance," Lin Xiaoxiao said in surprise, wrinkling her small nose.

"That’s our specially made Spirit Awakening Perfume. It has the effects of Purifying Magnetic Field and Attracting Spiritual Attention, you know," a very ordinarily dressed girl near the booth said with a smile, looking at Lin Xiaoxiao.

"Purifying Magnetic Field? Attracting Spiritual Attention?" After hearing this, Chen Mo and the others all had strange expressions on their faces.

"How could the university allow a supernatural club based on ghosts, ghouls, and feudal superstitions to even exist?" Lin Xiaoxiao muttered under her breath, covering her mouth with her hand.

The club was indeed a bit strange, and the items displayed at their booth were even more bizarre.

A vintage compass whose needle trembled slightly on its own, glowing with a faint red light.

Several crystal balls of different materials, with a club member sitting behind them in a dark cloak, silently polishing one with their head down.

A pile of old books that looked quite aged, with esoteric titles like *The Interpretation of Dreams*, *Astrology and Ancient Prophecies*, and *A Compilation of Global Unsolved Mysteries*.

There was even a glass case displaying items labeled "Spirit Medium Items" and "Accidentally Acquired Strange Objects." Chen Mo’s group saw a rusty key, an old doll with no pupils, and a few stones with peculiar textures inside.

And beneath each of these items was a small card detailing its origin.

They were all steeped in metaphysics, basically.

There weren’t many people looking at this booth, but those who were seemed very focused, even a little reverent. They conversed in low voices, not daring to speak loudly.

Aside from the girl who had just spoken to Lin Xiaoxiao, the other club members were all dressed in a way that was both professional and mysterious.

Some wore gothic-style dresses and intricate silver jewelry.

Others were in full outdoor exploration gear, as if they had just returned from investigating some paranormal site.

The member polishing the crystal ball was even wearing a silver mask that covered half of their face.

A few of them didn’t interact with outsiders at all, completely immersed in their own worlds, doing their own thing. It seemed to be a kind of role-playing performance the club was putting on.

Only a few members, including the normally dressed girl from before, were talking to passing students and introducing the Supernatural Research Club.

Su Yuqing looked at the doll with no pupils and subconsciously leaned closer to Chen Mo, whispering, "That doll... is a little unsettling."

Chen Mo gently patted the back of her hand. His sharp gaze swept over the so-called "paranormal items." Based on his experience as a criminal investigator, he was more inclined to believe they were all props designed to create an atmosphere. However, since he and Su Yuqing had already experienced a real supernatural event, he didn’t say anything and just continued to observe.

Zhao Ya seemed very interested in the crystal balls and star charts, watching them quietly.

Shen Xinghe, on the other hand, commented on the overall aesthetic presentation: "The atmosphere they’ve created is spot-on. The use of visual symbols has a lot of... dramatic tension."

He appreciated this deliberately crafted, eerie aesthetic.

A male club member with an androgynous air, wearing a modified Daoist robe, noticed them, especially Lin Xiaoxiao and Zhao Ya, who were showing interest. He walked over with a smile, his voice low and mysterious. "A few new students, are you interested in supernatural forces? Our club holds themed activities every week, like Tarot Card readings, astrology interpretations, and discussions on urban legends. Occasionally on weekends, we also organize night-time explorations to places... that have urban legends. It’s very exciting, you know."

It had to be said, for those obsessed with such things, his words were incredibly enticing.

Even Lin Xiaoxiao and Zhou Yue, who were just curious, couldn’t help but have their interest piqued.

Seeing that they didn’t immediately refuse, he instantly felt he had a chance. "Want to try the Tarot Cards? Perhaps they can reveal a few fragments of your future."

"Aren’t you a Daoist priest? Why are you using Tarot Cards?" Lin Xiaoxiao asked, looking in surprise at the guy in the modified Daoist robe.

"Because today is our club’s Tarot Card reading activity day. The Yixue Gua Skill activity day is tomorrow. We hold activities based on the day, regardless of how we’re dressed. I just specialize more deeply in Yixue Gua Skill, but I’m reasonably accomplished in other disciplines as well," the guy said with a chuckle.

Lin Xiaoxiao understood then, but she was torn between fear and wanting to try. In the end, it was Zhou Yue who asked for her: "Is it accurate?"

The club member gave a profound smile. "It works if you believe. What’s important is the reflection of your own heart that you interpret from the cards."

Hearing this, Zhou Yue and Lin Xiaoxiao, the most curious of the group, decided to try a simple Tarot Card reading.
