Igor and Douglas knew exactly what the situation was. Defeat had more than an eighty percent probability, but even knowing that result, Igor and his companions would not give up running.

Retreat was not in their bones. They were born with the spirit of wanting to take on their opponents. They wanted to know their own limits, and even if they were proven to be nothing special, they wouldn't mind. The Mantai People had a knack for controlling their mounts; as they caught up, they gradually formed a fan-shaped formation, the prelude to surrounding Igor and Douglas.

It didn't take long for these Mantai People to display their unparalleled control over their mounts. Their mastery in forming the fan-shaped formation was to an almost pure level. The Wolf Cavalry gradually surrounded Douglas and Igor, presenting a formation like a pouch, encircling Igor and his companions in no time.

"Looks like we've reached the end," Igor said calmly.

"Well, even so, it's not like we don't have a chance, right?" Douglas smiled, showing no sign of tension.

"Hehehe, we can experience the attacking power of the Mantai Cavalry."

"Young man, you're too naive. These people can't be considered Mantai Cavalry; Mantai Cavalry would never be this rude," Douglas explained to Igor.

Igor didn't say much, he drew his Meteor Sword, ready to fight at any moment.

The Gray Plain Wolf leader was now surrounded by a dozen cavalry, originally running towards freedom, now hindered by its own companions. It halted and growled with bared fangs.

The cavalry did not rashly advance or attack; they were still hesitant because it was the Gray Plain Wolf leader. These Gray Wolves approached with a natural vigilance, even though they were now controlled by the Mantai People, few dared to approach too closely and taunt.

"Tear them apart, don't give them any chance to breathe," the Mantai People's leader gave a direct order.

However, these ordered cavalry couldn't advance at once, still wary of the Gray Plain Wolf leader's intimidating presence.

At this moment, the Gray Plain Wolf leader couldn't leap and burst like before. It was already difficult to run this fast while injured.

Igor and Douglas understood the situation clearly; they no longer hoped for the Gray Plain Wolf to surprise them again. Now was the time for their own battle.

Igor swung a Sword Qi, but its power was significantly reduced because he was surrounded now, half his attention was on defending against others' attacks.

The Sword Qi didn't pose much trouble to the knights in front of them; those Mantai People raised their curved blades and blocked the Sword Qi's attack. With a clang, the collision of Sword Qi and curved blade made a heavy sound.

This sound marked the beginning of the battle.

The Gray Plain Wolf leader leapt towards another Gray Plain Wolf, picked its opponent, and aimed to viciously tear apart this Gray Plain Wolf as a strategy to intimidate the rest.

Because the Gray Plain Wolf was bitten, the rider on its back fell, which gave Douglas a chance to ambush, advancing stealthily to deliver a heavy punch to this Mantai person.

This series of attacks was quite seamless, as if they had coordinated beforehand, executing in one smooth motion.

But the Mantai cavalry were seasoned warriors, and they reacted quickly. These guys immediately tightened their formation, still firmly surrounding Igor and his companions.

Then the cavalry expanded their encirclement, seeming to give Igor and his companions more space to move, but it was actually to utilize their own attack specialization. Cavalry attacks required a certain charging distance, and the Mantai People understood this well. They used their excellent riding skills to make up for the shortcomings of distance, and combined with the special mounts of Gray Plain Wolves, they could unleash powerful attacks even at short distances.

As long as they had an attack range, these cavalry could effectively unleash their power.

With curved blades in hand, a Mantai cavalryman received the command from the leader and charged towards Igor.

Igor raised his Meteor Sword, bending his body to take on the attack.

Bang! Igor used his Meteor Sword to block the curved blade and skillfully deflected the force of the Wolf Rider's charge.

So, Igor neutralized one Wolf Rider's charge, but before he could take any pride, the second Wolf Rider attacked him from behind.

The Wolf Riders not attacking kept running around them continuously, one Wolf Rider attacked and then immediately rejoined the running group, after which another Wolf Rider emerged, repeating the cycle, truly causing trouble for Igor and his companions.

It was like a war of attrition, one after another, continuously wearing down Igor and his companions. Igor felt that if this continued, they would indeed be exhausted to death.

The Mantai People displayed combat proficiency that Igor found deeply admirable, even though these Mantai People were a bunch of bastards, their execution in battle was undeniably effective.

Round after round of attacks consumed much of Igor and his companions' energy. They were now battered and bruised, along with the Gray Plain Wolf leader, making a desperate but tenacious stand within the encirclement.

During the battle, these Mantai People spoke no unnecessary words, clearly understanding the saying that too many words could spoil things. They steadfastly followed their leader's intentions, continuously attacking Igor and his companions.

Even though they held the advantage, they made no complacent moves, meticulously maintaining the integrity of their cavalry formation.

Their cavalry formation was their magic weapon, regardless of who the opponent was or how many there were, they would use the cavalry formation to attack. This was their tactic, always has been.

Suddenly, a low growl sounded from midair as if reinforcements for the Mantai People had arrived.

Igor took this moment to glance up, only to see a large dark mass of figures rushing toward them from the direction of the tavern, and at first glance, one might really think they were Mantai cavalry.

However, on a closer look, they were not cavalry, but beasts, galloping as if ready to attack everyone.

And behind this group of shadows, a blurry figure slowly emerged.

This figure seemed like that flamboyant strange man who sat opposite Igor and conversed before...
