Chapter 526: Chapter 526: Who the Hell Would Like Your Art, Bastard!

"Ah~"

"Afternoon black tea really tastes wonderful after a meal~"

Sitting on the deck, Brook held a cup of black tea with a comfortable expression, looking thoroughly delighted.

"Brook, pour me a cup too!" Chopper raised his hand and chimed in.

"Right away~"

Brook smiled, turned to pour Chopper a cup of black tea as well, and handed it over, gesturing for him to give it a taste.

"So delicious!"

"I’m glad you like it~"

Brook nodded, then looked toward Nami, who seemed lost in thought, and asked, "Miss Nami, would you like a cup?"

"No thanks, I’ll pass," Nami said, shaking her head.

She didn’t have the habit of drinking tea after meals.

Seeing this, Brook went silent for a moment before setting down his teacup. "Nami, why do you look so weighed down by worries?"

"Because of them, of course."

Nami sighed and said, "It’s been so long, yet not a single piece of news has come back..."

Under these circumstances, how could she not overthink things?

"Rest assured," Brook said. "With their strength, nothing will go wrong."

After all, Meiser was by Luffy and the others’ side, wasn’t he?

So Brook didn’t believe anything bad could happen.

"That’s true, but..."

Clang~

Before Nami could finish her sentence, a strange sound rang out.

And this sound... came from inside the cabin!

Nami: "!!"

Chopper: "!!"

Brook: "!!"

Why was the sound of things being thrown and smashed coming from inside their cabin?

"There shouldn’t be anyone else on this ship besides us," Nami said with an ugly expression.

"Exactly."

"Could it be a ghost?"

"Wahh!"

"Nami, this is so scary!"

Looking at Chopper clinging to her leg and crying out, Nami felt like crying herself.

Did he think she wasn’t scared?

"So annoying!" Inside, Giolla, who was smashing things around, grumbled in irritation, "This is utterly revolting!"

The decor here wasn’t artistic in the slightest!

"Wait, there really seems to be someone inside!"

Snapping out of it, Nami glanced at Chopper and Brook and said, "Go over and open the door to take a look."

With that, she summoned a cloud and had it float in the air, ready to deal with any sudden emergency.

Brook and Chopper exchanged a glance, then crept forward cautiously and swung the door open.

"?"

"!!!"

Seeing the scene past the doorway, the three were utterly flabbergasted.

"What in the world is that?!"

Why had the cabin of their pirate ship turned into something resembling an abstract painting?

That distorted look... was so sickening!

"Franky will definitely blow his top if he sees this tragic state," Brook said, clutching his head in panic.

What on earth was going on?

Right at that moment, Giolla stepped out from the shadows of the cabin, staring coldly at the three standing outside the door.

This sight frightened the trio into immediately retreating back onto the deck.

Meanwhile, Giolla activated her Devil Fruit Ability once more, conjuring a cloud of artistic mist.

Then, she hurled it violently toward the door.

Boom!

The next instant, the entire area touched by the art cloud began to twist and warp out of shape!

"Even the door turned into a bizarre shape..." Chopper said in horror. "Did an Ability User do this?"

"What kind of ability is this?"

"The Bad Taste Fruit?" Brook guessed.

The things created by this ability were simply in such terrible taste that he figured it might be a Bad Taste Fruit.

"Bad Taste Fruit?"

Nami froze. Did such a Devil Fruit even exist in this world?

Then again, considering how bizarre and varied Paramecia-type Devil Fruits were, Nami didn’t find it that far-fetched.

Immediately, Nami raised her guard, because that door, which now looked like a child’s scribbled drawing, swung open.

"How detestable!"

Striding out from the doorway with hands on her hips, Giolla barked, "I despise people without any artistic taste!"

Nami: "???"

What on earth was this woman babbling about?

"Who the hell are..."

Before Nami could finish her words, Giolla cut her off sharply: "Shut up!"

"?"

Intimidated by Giolla’s sheer presence, Nami stepped back slightly in fright. But remembering that she still had to protect the ship, she stepped forward again.

Nami was just about to say something, but before she could open her mouth, Giolla said, "Who are you calling... a Mermaid Princess?"

Her expression looked thoroughly enchanted, as if she truly believed she was a Mermaid Princess.

The three: "???"

"Nobody called you that, alright?!" the three roared with Shark Mouths.

A Mermaid Princess?

A Mermaid Princess didn’t look anything like that, did she think they were completely ignorant?

Right then, two figures vaulted up from the surface of the sea, each looking more arrogant than the last.

"How insolent, you pirates!!"

"Do you have any idea who this lady is?"

"That’s right, she is an officer of the Donquixote Family—Lady Giolla!"

"Ohohohoho~"

Hearing her subordinates’ introductions, Giolla burst into proud laughter.

"The Donquixote Family?!"

With a dark expression, Nami glared at Giolla and demanded, "How did you find us?"

"I have no interest in answering your questions, Cat Burglar~" Giolla swayed her body and said, "Right now, I only wish to showcase my art!"

With that, Giolla used her Devil Fruit Ability to conjure a cloud of art mist and violently hurled it straight at Nami and the others.

"Experience the soul of my art to the fullest!"

Smack!

Caught entirely off guard, the three were struck dead-on by Giolla’s Devil Fruit Ability.

The next moment, their bodies began to warp and distort, gradually flattening out into cubist figures, ultimately turning into three twisted, painterly caricatures!

"Hey, what is this?!"

Looking at his body that had turned into a painting, Chopper instantly panicked.

What kind of ability was this?!

Nami, meanwhile, stared down at her body in pure horror. "Hey, why did I turn completely flat?!"

Where did her magnificent pair go?!

Damn it!

"What kind of freakish thing is this?" Brook looked at his own body, his face warping as he wailed, "I don’t even look like a skeleton anymore!"

This feeling... was truly awful!

So hideous!

"Ohohohoho~"

Taking in the reactions of all three, Giolla laughed heartily. "How do you like my art?"

"You bastard, what did you do to us?!" Nami raged.

Why was she, a Logia-type Ability User, affected by the enemy’s ability as well?

This made no sense!

"It’s art, of course~" Giolla declared. "I am an Art Human who ate the Art Fruit, possessing the grand power to create art!"

"You’ve now all been turned into artistic caricatures by me~"

"Ohohoho~"

Nami: "???"

What kind of absurd Devil Fruit Ability was this?!

"Turn us back right now!" Nami glared at her fiercely.

"That’s right! We don’t want your stupid art!"

Chopper jumped up, utterly furious.

"No, no, no, I certainly won’t help you restore your bodies~" Giolla said. "Don’t forget, we are enemies!"

From Punk Hazard onward, they had been mortal enemies, so there was no way she would help them change back.

Hearing Giolla’s words, Nami didn’t waste any more breath. The enemy clearly wouldn’t help them restore their bodies.

"Now then, allow me to make you even more artistic~" Giolla condensed another cloud of art mist and said, "This time, you will surely be satisfied~"

"Like hell I’ll let you get your way!" Nami fumed.

With that, she unleashed her Devil Fruit Ability without hesitation, intending to generate more clouds to attack Giolla.

Yet to her utter disbelief, the clouds she produced this time were entirely in a stylized, painted form, possessing zero offensive power!

"?"

"!!"

Staring at the warped, painterly cloud, Nami was dumbfounded.

Why had the clouds she conjured turned out like that?

"Cat Burglar~" Giolla lowered the cloud in her hand and gave Nami an amused, assessing look. "You’re a Cloud-Cloud Fruit Ability User, aren’t you?"

"How do you know that?!"

"You underestimate our intelligence network far too much," Giolla mocked.

Hearing this, Nami’s expression darkened. She truly hadn’t expected the enemy to uncover the nature of her Devil Fruit Ability so quickly.

"Even Nami’s ability is useless..." Chopper cried in panic. "What do we do?!"

He had originally pinned his hopes on Nami, a Logia-type Ability User, to turn the tables, but the opponent’s ability actually neutralized Nami’s powers.

How were they supposed to fight this?

Nami remained silent, her eyes locked onto Giolla as her mind raced to find a way out.

"Up until now, no one has ever been able to break free of my art!" Giolla stated smugly. "So I advise you to stop wasting your energy."

"No way in hell!" the three yelled in unison.

If they gave up like this, they would become the enemy’s prisoners. Then the enemy could use their lives to threaten Luffy and the others.

That was completely unacceptable to them; they had to find a countermeasure no matter what.

"Why bother?"

Giolla shook her head. If they had just behaved obediently, they wouldn’t have to suffer, so why insist on resisting?

She truly couldn’t fathom it.

Shaking her head, Giolla raised the art cloud in her hand and said, "Whatever, there’s no need to waste words on you. I’ll just take you down."

With that, Giolla hurled the art cloud straight forward without hesitation.

Whoosh~

Watching the art cloud draw closer and closer, Nami’s face paled.

If they were hit by that thing again, they might genuinely be captured.

’No, absolutely not!’

The three of them could never become a burden dragging down their crewmates!

Thinking this, Nami prepared to unleash her Devil Fruit Ability with everything she had, hoping to see if she could withstand the enemy’s power.

Yet before she could strike, she suddenly seemed to remember something and abruptly halted her movement.

Immediately, she hoisted the hatch cover at her feet without an instant’s hesitation.

Clang!

"Hm?"

"?"

Seeing the manhole-like hatch cover block her Devil Fruit Ability, a bunch of question marks popped up over Giolla’s head.

Why on earth was there such a bizarre thing on this pirate ship?

Wait, that wasn’t the point—the point was that the three people were gone!

Looking at the twisted, warped hatch cover, Giolla frowned. "Did they scramble below deck?"

Honestly, scurrying around just like rats.

"Lady Giolla, should we head down to catch them?" a subordinate at her side asked.

"No rush."

Giolla gave a cold snort and said, "They can’t escape."

They had already been transformed by her into helpless works of art stripped of their fighting capacity. There was no desperate rush to go down and drag them out; it was better to inspect the situation below first to prevent any unexpected casualties.

Mulling this over, Giolla strode toward the hatch.

Meanwhile, Chopper, having quietly slipped up to high ground, took advantage of this distraction to sneak to the bow. Pulling the control lever, he opened the Thousand Sunny’s Soldier Dock System, deploying the Shark Submerge and the Waver.

"What’s that sound?"

Sensing something was amiss, Giolla whipped around and instantly spotted Chopper perched at the bow.

"You’re up there?!" Giolla exclaimed in shock.

How had this brat slipped past her eyes?

Had he fled during the smoke just now?

"You’ll never catch us!" Chopper stuck his tongue out at her.

Then, he spun around, leaped toward the sea, and landed firmly atop the Shark Submerge.

Just like that, utilizing the Waver and the Shark Submerge, the three successfully put distance between themselves and the Thousand Sunny.

"They managed to escape to the sea so easily?!"

Giolla stared in astonishment at the three bobbing on the open water. "Are you kidding me?!"

How had those toy-like contraptions carried them off the pirate ship?

"Thinking of catching us?" Nami scoffed. "In your dreams!"

Taking the enemy’s attack head-on at the start had indeed been a blunder, but... they weren’t stupid enough to stay on the pirate ship and continue taking hits.

"Curse you, get back here right this instant!" Giolla’s eyes bulged as she yelled, "Don’t you want to become even more artistic?!"

"Who the hell would like your art?!" Nami roared with a Shark Mouth.

Her proud figure had been warped into this grotesque monstrosity, so how could she possibly like it?!

If it weren’t for the fact that the clouds she generated were useless right now, she would have struck this bastard down with lightning on the spot!

"How dare you look down on my art! Now I’m furious!" Giolla raged.

As she spoke, she conjured more clouds from her Devil Fruit, preparing to fling them at Nami and the others.

However, Nami’s group had clearly seen through Giolla’s intentions. Before she could even raise her hand, they were already piloting their vehicles far away into the distance, terrified of getting hit by this woman’s Devil Fruit Ability again.

"Damn you, don’t run!"

"Only an idiot wouldn’t run!"

"Aargh!!"

"I am thoroughly enraged!"

Watching Giolla stomp her feet in a flustered rage, the corners of Nami and the others’ mouths curled up unconsciously, clearly satisfied with her reaction.

"By the way, that woman won’t keep messing things up, will she?" Chopper murmured softly. "Otherwise, our Thousand Sunny is going to..."

"I don’t know either," Nami said, shaking her head.

All she could do now was pray that this woman named Giolla wouldn’t trash their pirate ship any further; otherwise, the Thousand Sunny would truly suffer a terrible fate.

Thinking of this, Nami let out a silent sigh.
