“Watch out!”

Nami suddenly cried out in alarm.

The pirate suddenly changed direction and charged toward where Mr.

Kaguya and the others were standing, a crazed glint in his eyes.

“Get lost!

Don’t block my way!”

Mr.

Kaguya’s gaze turned cold, and his right hand lightly pressed onto the hilt of his sword.

Just as the pirate was five paces away, a flash of silver light streaked across.

The pirate’s large cleaver fell to the ground with a ‘clatter,’ and a thin trail of blood appeared on his wrist.

“Argh!”

The pirate screamed in pain, clutching his injured hand and retreating a few steps in terror.

Tashigi took the opportunity to lead her soldiers in a swarm, pinning the pirate to the ground.

“Thank you for your assistance, sir.”

Tashigi sheathed her sword and nodded to Mr.

Kaguya in greeting.

When she saw Mr.

Kaguya’s handsome face, a flash of astonishment crossed her eyes.

“You are…?”

“Kaguya, just a passing traveler.”

Mr.

Kaguya gave a faint smile and turned to leave.

“Wait a moment!”

Tashigi quickly stepped forward.

“That sword of yours…”

Tashigi pulled out a small booklet from somewhere.

Flip flip flip

Tashigi’s fingers rapidly flipped through the yellowed Sword Manual, her eyes shining with excitement.

“That’s it!

This is the sandai kitetsu!”

“Its predecessor…”

To the side, Nami and Nojiko both watched with expressions as if they’d seen a ghost as Tashigi suddenly began discussing famous swords with Mr.

Kaguya.

Nami stepped forward and took Mr.

Kaguya’s arm, as if staking her claim.

“miss marine, shouldn’t you be escorting that pirate back to the Marine Base right now?”

Nami raised an eyebrow slightly, her tone carrying a hint of teasing.

Only then did Tashigi snap out of it, closing her booklet with slightly reddened cheeks.

“Sorry, I was being rude.”

She turned and waved to her soldiers.

“Escort the prisoner back to the Marine Base!”

After the Marines left with the wailing pirate, Tashigi couldn’t help but look back at the sword at Mr.

Kaguya’s waist.

“I wonder if you’d be interested in coming to the Marine Base for a chat?”

“You helped us catch a major criminal today, so we should express our gratitude.

And…”

Tashigi hesitated for a moment, her eyes shining with a thirst for knowledge.

“I am very interested in the history of the sandai kitetsu and would like to ask you some things about this sword.”

Mr.

Kaguya felt Nami’s grip on his arm tighten a bit more and couldn’t help but smile.

“Thank you for the invitation, but we have important matters to attend to.”

He gently patted Nami’s shoulder to reassure her.

“Besides, the story of this sword is quite long; I’m afraid it can’t be told in just a few words.”

“If Miss Tashigi wants to learn more, why not come find me when you have a day off?”

“I’ll be in Loguetown for the next two weeks.”

“You can find me at the small seaside courtyard in the southwest corner of Loguetown.”

Tashigi’s eyes immediately lit up.

She quickly pulled a small notebook from her pocket and jotted down the address, her movements as efficient as a student preparing for an exam.

“It’s a deal!”

Watching the retreating backs of the Marine squad, Nojiko finally couldn’t help but laugh.

“That miss marine is truly…

special.”

She glanced pointedly at Nami’s arm, which was still tightly clutching Mr.

Kaguya’s.

Only then did Nami snap out of it and let go, her face flushing red as she pretended to calmly tidy her hair.

“Let’s go.

We’ll drop our things off first and then continue shopping.”

After the three of them dropped their things at home, they returned to Loguetown to continue their shopping trip.

Three days later, Mr.

Kaguya was in the courtyard guiding the two girls in their training.

Suddenly, his Observation Haki picked up the signal of someone approaching.

“Take a break, someone’s coming.”

The two girls put down their training equipment and went back inside.

They were currently drenched in sweat, making it clearly inconvenient for them to be seen.

Just as the two girls returned to the house, Mr.

Kaguya heard a knock at the courtyard gate.

Mr.

Kaguya walked slowly to the gate.

The wooden door opened with a creak, revealing Tashigi’s face, which held a hint of nervousness and anticipation.

She wasn’t wearing her Marine uniform today; instead, she had changed into light blue casual clothes, looking exceptionally fresh.

“Sorry for the intrusion, Mr.

Kaguya.”

Tashigi bowed slightly, holding a thick notebook in her hands.

“I’ve come to visit as agreed.”

Mr.

Kaguya stepped aside to make way and smiled.

“Welcome, please come in.”

Tashigi stepped into the small courtyard, and her eyes were immediately drawn to the various training equipment, especially the sandai kitetsu, which had been wiped bright and was leaning quietly against a stone table.

She couldn’t help but step closer, her eyes full of admiration.

“This sword is so well-maintained.”

She spoke softly, as if afraid of disturbing the soul within the blade.

Mr.

Kaguya poured her a cup of tea and gestured for her to sit.

“Miss Tashigi’s passion for swords is truly admirable.”

Tashigi smiled somewhat bashfully, then opened her notebook and said seriously,

“I’ve looked through a lot of information, but there aren’t many records about the sandai kitetsu, so I’d like to ask you to tell me about its origins in detail.”

Just then, Nami and Nojiko walked out of the house after changing clothes.

When Nami saw Tashigi, her eyebrows shot up slightly, but she quickly regained her composure.

“Oh, miss marine is quite punctual.”

Nami walked over to Mr.

Kaguya’s side, her tone carrying a hint of mockery.

Tashigi stood up and nodded politely in greeting.

“Ladies, sorry for the intrusion.”

Nojiko smiled and waved her hand.

“Don’t be so formal.

Since you’re here, have a cup of tea with us.”

The four of them sat around the stone table in the courtyard, and Mr.

Kaguya began to tell the story of the sandai kitetsu.

His voice was low and magnetic, as if drawing everyone into that era of flashing blades and clashing swords.

How could Mr.

Kaguya know the story of the Kitetsu?

Anyway, this woman Tashigi had searched for ages and found nothing.

So, he just casually fabricated a legendary tale.

Tashigi listened intently, her pen flying as she took notes, her eyes shining with excitement.

“So the sandai kitetsu has such a legendary story behind it!”

“Thank you for the lesson.”

“Miss Tashigi likes famous swords very much?”

Mr.

Kaguya asked, knowing full well the answer.

Hearing this, Tashigi’s eyes immediately lit up, as if stars were twinkling inside them.

“Yes!”

“I have a special feeling for famous swords; each one carries a unique history and story…”

Mr.

Kaguya had only just started the topic, and Tashigi began blabbering about her dreams and her life’s pursuits.

Nami and Nojiko sat to the side and glanced at each other, both seeing the same thought in the other’s eyes.

[This woman seems a bit simple-minded…]

“Cough, Miss Tashigi, how many days off do you have?”

“Two days.

Why?”

“Then why doesn’t Tashigi stay here for these two days?

We can have a good exchange.

I also know the stories of many other famous swords and their current whereabouts.”

To the side, Nami’s eyes widened when she heard Mr.

Kaguya invite Tashigi to stay at their home, but Nojiko timely held her back.

“This!

Wouldn’t this be too much of a bother?”

“Of course not, it’s only two days.”

“Then…

sorry for the intrusion!”
