Chapter 54 Activating Armament Haki

As they ascended, the full view of Clockwork Island gradually became clear.

This island, composed of giant gears and precise machinery, slowly rotated in the air, the metallic grinding sound of the gears meshing echoing through the clouds.

“Nojiko, do you see the tallest castle?

Fly there.”

Kaguya commanded from Nojiko’s back.

Nojiko nodded, carrying the two towards the castle.

On the open ground below the castle, a group of ordinary Poker Pirates were chatting and playing cards.

Suddenly, someone saw a strange bird flying in the sky.

“What is that?!”

The pirates immediately picked up their flintlock pistols and aimed at Nojiko.

“It looks like there’s someone on it!”

“It looks like Honey Queen!”

“Didn’t Honey Queen go down to rob with Lord Pujeck?”

“Honey Queen seems to have been captured! These are enemies! Attack!”

“Bang bang bang…”

Gunshots rang out.

Nami waved her hand, releasing a Barrier below Nojiko.

Bullets struck the transparent Barrier, clanging, but unable to penetrate an inch.

Kaguya’s robes flapped in the wind, a hint of coldness flashing in his eyes.

“Looks like we don’t need to say hello.”

He gently stroked the onikiri at his waist.

Nojiko swooped down, the airflow from her wingspan blowing the pirates below helter-skelter.

Kaguya and Nami landed on the castle’s platform.

Such a commotion immediately alarmed Great Bear King inside the castle and his only two remaining cadres—Clown Swordsman, and Scango-1, who had a stinky gas backpack on his back.

Great Bear King’s burly figure slowly rose from his throne, his steel body gleaming with a cold metallic luster in the sunlight.

He narrowed his eyes, scrutinizing the sudden intruders.

“Who are you?”

Seeing Honey Queen trapped in the barrier box by Nami, Great Bear King momentarily thought she was a captive.

Well… she was indeed a captive.

“Release Honey Queen, and I can spare your lives.”

Great Bear King’s rough voice was as unpleasant as grinding metal.

Kaguya waved his hand, and Nami, understanding, removed the barrier box.

Great Bear King saw this and nodded in satisfaction.

“Good, you’re a sensible kid. Now get out of Clockwork Island, and I can pretend nothing happened.”

Honey Queen, however, suddenly swayed her waist and pounced on Kaguya with a charming laugh.

“Master I don’t want to go back”

Great Bear King’s expression instantly froze, his eyes bursting with sparks of anger.

“Bitch! How dare you betray me?”

“Oh my~”

Honey Queen hid behind Kaguya, sticking out her tongue provocatively.

“I’ve found a better home now~”

“Honey Queen, those little pirates below are yours, leave none alive.

Nojiko, you go deal with that clown.

Nami, enclose me and Great Bear King together.”

“Oh my~

I just joined, and you’re already making me kill my former comrades~

You’re a bad master~”

Honey Queen pouted in feigned grievance, but her eyes sparkled with excitement.

“Go do your job.”

“Okay~”

Honey Queen instantly transformed into a blob of goo and flew downwards.

Nojiko, having returned to human form, charged at Clown Swordsman with Yubashiri in hand.

Nami, meanwhile, used a Barrier to enclose Kaguya and Great Bear King together, then threw them out of the castle.

The barrier box rapidly expanded after being thrown out, providing Kaguya with ample fighting space.

Seeing this, Scango-1 immediately activated the stinky gas backpack on his back, and a thick green gas spewed out, attempting to engulf Nami.

Nami quickly retreated, simultaneously waving both hands to construct a spherical Barrier in front of her, isolating the poisonous gas.

“What a disgusting move.”

Nami wrinkled her nose, then lightly tapped her fingertips, causing the Barrier to invert and enclose.

She trapped the stench and Scango-1 inside the Barrier sphere.

“Ugh!!!”

Although Scango-1’s attack method was releasing stinky gas, he was most afraid of the stench himself.

Inside the Barrier sphere, Scango-1’s eyes rolled back from his own poison gas, and he frantically pounded the transparent wall.

Nami elegantly snapped her fingers, and several sharp spikes protruded within the Barrier sphere.

Scango-1 was impaled by the spikes amidst screams, and after he was put out of his misery, the Barrier sphere dissipated into points of light.

“Trash.”

Nami lightly stroked her hair, her gaze turning to the other battlefield.

Nojiko’s battle with Clown Swordsman had entered a fierce stage.

Clown Swordsman’s rapier was as cunning as a venomous snake, each thrust aimed at Nojiko’s vital points.

Nojiko, however, dodged with nimble movements, the blade of her Yubashiri carving silver arcs, forcing the Clown to retreat repeatedly.

Cold sweat broke out on Clown Swordsman’s forehead; he had never encountered such a difficult opponent.

Nojiko’s swordsmanship seemed simple, yet she always accurately predicted his attack routes.

Just as he was distracted, Nojiko suddenly changed her move, the Yubashiri blade striking directly at the Clown’s throat.

“Clang!”

Clown Swordsman hastily blocked, but the immense impact numbed his tiger’s mouth.

He staggered back several steps, a hint of panic flashing in his eyes.

Nojiko seized the opportunity, lunged forward, and the sword light, like snow, pierced the Clown’s chest.

“Pfft!”

Blood splattered, and Clown Swordsman’s eyes widened, staring in disbelief at the blade in his chest.

Nojiko coldly withdrew Yubashiri, and Clown Swordsman’s body slowly fell, kicking up a cloud of dust.

Meanwhile, screams echoed from the open ground below.

Honey Queen, transformed into goo, harvested the lives of her former comrades like a grim reaper; wherever she passed, pirates fell, their faces still etched with fear.

Within the Barrier battlefield, Kaguya’s battle with Great Bear King also reached its climax.

Great Bear King was fiery red all over, emitting scorching heat, his steel body distorting the air with waves of heat.

He grinned menacingly, swinging his giant fists, each blow carrying a terrifying temperature capable of melting steel.

“Kid, turn into a puddle of blood in my high-temperature hell!”

Kaguya’s figure flickered in and out of sight amidst the heat waves, his skin’s surface glowing with an eerie dark red.

“Just a bear!”

“Clang clang!”

His Iron Body-hardened fists clashed fiercely with Great Bear King’s steel giant fists, sparks flying.

Kaguya had delayed killing Great Bear King because he wanted to temper himself through Great Bear King’s high temperature.

Although Iron Body is a defensive skill among the Six Powers, there is still a certain gap compared to Armament Haki.

After several clashes, Kaguya’s fists became bloody and mangled, but the fighting spirit in his eyes grew even more intense.

Great Bear King roared in anger, realizing his high temperature couldn’t completely suppress his opponent.

“Soon! Soon!”

Kaguya felt something awakening within his body.

Each collision with Great Bear King’s steel giant fist made that hidden power grow more restless.

His skin began to turn an abnormal dark red, as if lava flowed through his veins.

Great Bear King swung his scorching steel fist, smashing towards Kaguya like a burning meteor.

The air was distorted by the high temperature, emitting a piercing roar.

Kaguya didn’t retreat but advanced, similarly swinging his right fist to meet it.

The moment their fists collided, Kaguya’s Armament Haki finally activated.

The fist enveloped in Armament Haki collided with Great Bear King’s steel fist, letting out a deafening roar!

A scorching heat wave exploded, and Kaguya’s fist actually dented Great Bear King’s steel giant arm.

Great Bear King’s pupils contracted sharply, staring in disbelief at his twisted and deformed fist, the high-temperature metal surface even showing tiny cracks.

A huge shockwave echoed within the barrier box.

Fortunately, there was this barrier box, otherwise the previous attack would have been enough to destroy the fragile Clockwork Island.
