Alabasta Kingdom, Nanohana Port—

The Riding the Wind for Ten Thousand Miles slowly docked, its hull making a dull thud as it bumped against the pier.

Busy merchants and fishermen at the port stopped their work one after another, curiously eyeing this uniquely shaped giant ship.

Vivi stood at the bow, looking at her familiar homeland, her eyes turning slightly red.

“Finally back.”

She whispered softly, her fingers unconsciously tightening around the railing.

“Let’s go, time to meet the legendary great pirate.”

Kaguya gently patted Vivi’s shoulder.

This time, only Vivi, Tashigi, and Nojiko accompanied Kaguya.

There was no need for many people against Baroque Works, so the others stayed in Nanohana to go shopping.

Kaguya had originally planned to go alone, but Tashigi insisted on personally carrying out justice and went along.

Nojiko volunteered, wanting to test her newly mastered Armament Haki.

Walking through the streets of Nanohana, Vivi would look around from time to time.

“No need to be so nervous. Even if Crocodile discovers us, he doesn’t have a chance now.”

Seeing Vivi’s nervous appearance, Kaguya comforted her softly.

“Quack~”

Karoo the duck also comforted its master.

Passing through the bustling market, the air was filled with the scents of perfume and gourmet food.

The cries of street vendors rose and fell, and several children ran past them, chasing and playing.

The group arrived at a shop that rented camels.

“Boss, we’d like to rent four camels.”

“How many days will you be renting them, guests?”

“Two days should be enough.”

Kaguya placed the Berries on the counter; the boss took the coins with a smile and turned to shout for the workers to bring the camels.

Before long, four sturdy camels were led out.

Tashigi curiously examined these docile animals and reached out to touch the hump of one.

“It’s my first time riding a camel.”

“Riding a camel is very simple.”

Vivi skillfully flipped herself onto the lead camel, her movements light and graceful.

She patted the camel’s neck and turned to say to the two.

“It’s about a day’s journey from here to Rainbase.”

The four rode their camels through Nanohana and gradually entered the vast desert.

The scorching sun baked the golden sand dunes, and the heat waves distorted the air.

Nojiko wiped the sweat from her forehead and took a sip from the water bottle in her backpack.

“This weather is killer. No wonder Alabasta is in a constant state of drought.”

“In the past, although Alabasta was called the Desert Kingdom, it actually used to rain.

But for the past two years, except for Rainbase and the Royal Capital, not a single drop of rain has fallen elsewhere.

The lives of the citizens are becoming increasingly difficult. Farmlands have dried up, livestock have died of thirst, and even the oases are gradually shrinking.”

Vivi’s voice grew low, a trace of pain flashing in her eyes.

The camels’ hooves sank deep into the soft sand, leaving behind a trail of footprints.

In the distance, a few vultures circled in the sky, seemingly searching for fallen prey in the desert.

“Kaguya, after we deal with Crocodile, how should the drought problem in Alabasta be solved?”

Tashigi looked at the desolate desert scene before her and couldn’t help but ask.

“I actually have a way to manage the desert.”

Before Kaguya transmigrated, Huaxia had extensive experience in desert management.

“First, we need to establish windbreak and sand-fixation forest belts.”

Kaguya pointed into the distance.

“Plant drought-resistant plants on the edge of the desert to form a green Barrier. Then…”

“Then…”

Kaguya explained the desert management methods from the other world in detail.

Vivi’s eyes grew brighter as she listened, as if seeing the hope of Alabasta regaining its vitality.

She excitedly grabbed Kaguya’s arm, her voice trembling slightly.

“Can these methods really be implemented?”

“Of course.”

Kaguya nodded with a smile.

“However, it will require time and the collective effort of the entire country.”

While they were discussing the details of desert management, an unusual cloud of dust suddenly rose behind the distant sand dunes.

Karoo alertly stretched its neck and let out an urgent cry.

Two groups of people suddenly appeared in the distance, fighting each other, with yellow sand flying everywhere amidst the flashes of blades and swords.

“It’s people from Baroque Works!”

Vivi recognized the identity of one of the groups.

“Let’s go take a look.”

On the surface, Baroque Works operates as Bounty Hunters; before Crocodile reveals his hand, these members still operate as Bounty Hunters across Alabasta.

Right now, they were surrounding and attacking a group of pirates.

The two groups clashed fiercely under the blazing sun, the sound of clashing metal and battle cries echoing in the empty desert.

“Actually, if we could incorporate these guys, it would be a good choice.”

Although Kaguya didn’t think much of these Bounty Hunters’ strength, they were much stronger than the Kingdom Army who hadn’t seen blood.

If they could be made to serve Alabasta, it would not only strengthen the kingdom’s military force but also reduce unnecessary casualties.

As for subduing this force, Kaguya had also thought of a way.

That was to win over the key figure who actually controlled Baroque Works—Nico Robin.

As the behind-the-scenes boss, Crocodile gave all his orders through Robin.

Once he dealt with Crocodile and then won over Robin, he could subdue Baroque Works without any effort.

As Kaguya and the others approached, the group also noticed them.

“Baroque Works is on a mission! Unrelated personnel, stay away!”

The leading Bounty Hunter brandished a long blade and shouted sternly, the blade shimmering in the sunlight.

Kaguya unsheathed onikiri and gave it a few casual swings; several Flying Slashes surged out, and the group of pirates was instantly killed, their blood staining the yellow sand.

The remaining Baroque Works members were all stunned, their weapons unconsciously lowering.

“This… this is…”

The leading Bounty Hunter’s voice trembled, and cold sweat broke out on his forehead.

“What are you looking at? You’re in the way.”

Kaguya sheathed the long blade and coldly scanned the group of dumbfounded Bounty Hunters.

The hot desert wind blew past, carrying the scent of blood, and the scene fell into a deathly silence.

“Lo… Lord, have mercy!”

The leading Bounty Hunter suddenly fell to his knees, his forehead hitting the scorching sand hard.

“We were just following orders, we meant no offense!”

Seeing this, the other Bounty Hunters also knelt on the ground, their foreheads pressed against the hot sand, not even daring to breathe loudly.

“Fine, I didn’t plan on killing you. Get lost.”

Kaguya waved a hand, signaling them to leave.

Like they had received a great pardon, the group of Bounty Hunters scrambled and disappeared into the distance of the desert.

“Why didn’t you just finish them off?”

Nojiko asked with a puzzled look, holding Yubashiri.

“These people are just pawns following orders.”

Kaguya watched their receding backs.

“Besides, they’re all labor. Keeping them around might be useful.”
