One Piece: White Ghost of the Seas
Chapter 358: Diving Toward Fish-Man Island
On White Ghost's side, after everyone descended, White Ghost pulled Mjosgard in front of his crew.
"Let me introduce everyone. This is my friend. He used to be a Celestial Dragon. Now that he's boarded our ship, he's one of us from now on."
"Hello, everyone."
Mjosgard greeted the others politely.
The crew also began introducing themselves to him.
Jango, Kuro, Ain, and several others were already old acquaintances of his.
White Ghost called over Kuina, Shiroheko, Enel, A-Da, Gin, and a few others.
"Come, come. Your Devil Fruits were given to me by Mjosgard. Thank him properly."
Mjosgard waved his hand.
"No need for all that politeness. We're all companions now. Let's skip the empty formalities."
"Hahahaha!"
White Ghost laughed and patted his shoulder.
"Alright. We can't hold a banquet right now. Once we reach Fish-Man Island, I'll have Wanda cook. Her skills are much better than before."
"Hahaha!"
Mjosgard and White Ghost had their arms around each other's shoulders, laughing happily.
The others looked at the scene strangely.
This was a Celestial Dragon?
Weren't Celestial Dragons supposed to be fat-headed, brainless, stupid, and unreasonable?
Why did this Celestial Dragon in front of them not seem like that at all?
Could they have met a fake one?
Only those who had interacted with Mjosgard before knew why he was like this.
After playing around with White Ghost for a while, Mjosgard took the two large cases from his butler and removed the box from his back.
"Here. This is the boarding fee for the two of us. No matter what, there must be a place for the two of us in your territory."
Everyone's eyes burned as they looked at the two cases.
Without guessing, they knew what was inside.
White Ghost did not stand on ceremony. His palm slid over them, and the cases and box disappeared.
"Come, come. Let's have a proper chat. Don't worry. In my territory, you'll stand on equal footing with me."
The others were shocked when they heard that.
Those words carried too much weight.
Mjosgard shook his head.
"You bastard. A moment ago, you called me your brother. Now you're trying to harm me?
"Don't bother with that empty stuff. I only want a small official post. I like managing civilian affairs now."
White Ghost smiled.
"Doesn't matter. When the time comes, do whatever you want."
As he spoke, White Ghost looked at Kuro.
"Take Butler Kalbar to get to know everyone. Once we reach Fish-Man Island, we'll hold a banquet together."
Watching the two walk toward the dragon head, Kuro smiled.
"Let's go, Butler Kalbar. I'll introduce you to the others."
Kalbar nodded.
He knew White Ghost had accepted him onto the ship as well, but he was very self-aware and did not look around too much. He did not want to bring trouble to his young lord.
At the dragon head, White Ghost and Mjosgard poured red wine and chatted.
Mjosgard sighed.
"So many years passed in the blink of an eye. I didn't expect I'd have another day when I returned to Fish-Man Island."
White Ghost filled his glass and smiled.
"You were right above Fish-Man Island. If you wanted to go, you could have gone."
Mjosgard clinked glasses with him.
"It wasn't convenient. With my previous identity, going down there would have been too troublesome.
"If you weren't there and someone secretly interfered, Fish-Man Island would be in trouble."
White Ghost drank the wine and wiped the corner of his mouth.
"Those people contacted you?"
Mjosgard nodded.
"They contacted me. Didn't Fish-Man Island change after following your suggestion?
"Now that place has transformed completely. Even the World Government has to be polite with them. After all, it is the only road pirates can use to reach the New World."
White Ghost lit a cigar, not worried at all that they were under the sea.
"Fish-Man Island's location is too important. If it were me, I'd want to station someone Admiral-level there."
Mjosgard interrupted him.
"Alright. Don't talk about those things. I don't want to listen. From now on, I'll live my new life in your territory."
White Ghost chuckled and stopped that topic, drinking with him instead.
But in the end, he still could not resist asking,
"I don't get it. Those five old men actually let you leave?"
Mjosgard set down his glass and took one of White Ghost's premium cigars to light for himself.
"At first, they didn't want me to leave.
"The things I did in that place were enough for me to die several times. But in the end, they still didn't touch me. There might be some big conspiracy hidden inside."
White Ghost understood in an instant.
"I figured that out a long time ago. They simply want to let me grow and gather ambitious people around me. Then, in the end, they can solve everything at once."
Mjosgard suddenly understood.
"So that's it. But you're not the kind of person who sits around waiting to die, are you?"
White Ghost chuckled and refilled his wine.
"When we reach the New World, I'll give them a big gift. You'll know when the time comes."
Mjosgard smiled faintly.
"As expected. You really aren't someone who lets others control him."
Clink.
The two touched glasses and smiled at each other.
Kuro brought Kalbar around and introduced him to the crew.
Burgess, that brainless guy, rubbed his chin.
"Kuro, are you sure you didn't make a mistake? This old guy is strong?"
Jango punched him.
"Shut up. He's our companion from now on."
Burgess laughed awkwardly and apologized to Kalbar.
He also knew what had been inside those two large cases.
Kalbar chuckled and said it was fine, only a joke.
But in his heart, he was deeply shocked.
He had judged the crew's strength from their auras just now, and none of them were weak.
Especially Kuro, Jango, Pedro, Wanda, and the others. Compared to the past, the difference was simply too great.
And there was also Uta.
Good heavens.
He had only sensed her subconsciously just now and had almost been scared to death. His Observation Haki had transmitted a fatal threat.
White Ghost's group continued descending toward the seabed.
Franky directly turned on all the lights.
With so many powerful auras on the ship, did anyone think the Sea Kings would dare come looking for trouble?
Not to mention White Ghost, this living weapon, was here.
If someone angered him, he would go straight into the sea and start slaughtering.
Of course, there were still fearless ones looking for trouble.
For example, one enormous octopus sea monster.
White Ghost's group curiously examined this fearless—or rather, brainless—fellow.
"That's an octopus, right?"
Jango rubbed his beard and looked at the creature in front of them.
Pedro rolled his eyes at him.
"What kind of eyes do you have? That's clearly a squid."
"Roar!"
The Kraken roared and stretched out its tentacles, preparing to crush the ship's bubble.
It loved doing this the most.
"Hahaha!"
Burgess and the others coated themselves with bubbles, raised their fists, and began fighting the Kraken in the sea.
They were not worried about the bubbles on their bodies bursting.
After all, the captain's wife had already developed her ability to a very high degree. As long as the battle was not too intense, the bubbles on them would be fine.
White Ghost looked at the beaten and bruised Kraken and spoke calmly.
"Drag it back. It can pull the ship."
