Chapter 481: Trespassed From the Requiem Stronghold, Next Objective

"Did you not hear?" Cavin took a step forward, "Who the hell defeated the Soul Soldier? Did the Hunter perhaps come and leave?"

Yet again, no response, Leon’s expression remaining completely neutral.

"Perhaps they got scared," Granite laughed out loud, "That thing was terrifying, and if they got hit by any of its attacks, they’d be dead meat!"

"Either way," Empress cut through their talk, her voice calm and commanding, "We completed the Monster Tide, and the Requiem Stronghold is actually in incredibly good condition, we’ll just need to rebuild the Requiem Plaza and everything destroyed."

"That should take around a few days at most," Granite nodded, he was the main planner for these things, "And then..."

"...Eternal Battlefield," Cavin grinned, his eyes gleaming with anticipation, "We’re finally able to head there."

Hearing that, Leon couldn’t help but ask, his curiosity getting the better of him.

"Why did you want to complete this Monster Tide before moving on? Its not like its for the stronghold since you seemed fine to let it be destroyed."

Cavin didn’t reply to Leon’s question, in fact he deliberately ignored it, his expression closing off.

"Well, Celestial, I guess you managed to survive this Monster Tide, and has helped with it so..."

"Wow," Leon said flatly.

Even though he saw that though, Leon kept his fists clenched around his sword and staff, his body ready for anything.

They were completely surrounded, but if any of them dared to move to attack him or the girls, he would annihilate them, no matter what it took.

Even though Leon didn’t let any of his killing intent out, some of the requiem guild members shivered slightly as they looked at him, their instincts warning them of danger.

For some reason, they had a really bad feeling, one they couldn’t explain.

"Well," Cavin stretched on the spot, "You’re officially banned from entering the Requiem Stronghold, Celestial, you and your girls, if you attempt to enter again, we will be alerted, and you will be killed swiftly."

"Are you serious?" Celeste shouted, "If not for Leon you would all..."

"...Do not defy Lord Cavin’s commands," Empress replied coldly, "We do not want you here any longer, feel happy we do not take your lives."

"Damn," Celeste muttered, her fists clenching.

Hearing that, Leon didn’t feel like fighting over it, and so he simply stared at them with a wide grin, aura flashing through his expression.

"See you later, Requiem Guild, make sure you don’t lose any more of your members."

"You little shit..."

Then like that, Leon grabbed the girls and teleported using the World Map as he wasn’t in combat, the world shifting around them.

Fwoosh!

In an instant, they flashed from their spot and appeared outside of the Requiem Guild’s stronghold, the walls towering above them.

As soon as they appeared, some of the players and natives on the towers of the walls of the stronghold pointed their machinery at them, their weapons gleaming.

They had automatically been told that Celestial and the three girls with him were not allowed here, the orders clear.

If they tried to approach, they would be fired at, though for someone like Leon and his group, it wouldn’t really do anything, their power far beyond such defenses.

"So what do we do now?" Violet spoke, "We completed that, and we got much stronger, but now what?"

"Well..." Leon gazed at the panel that appeared beside him, his expression thoughtful, "I guess its time to complete that quest."

"I was given six months to do it, but since we know nothing about any of the monsters except which higher domain they’re from, it might take a while," Leon admitted.

"The Heretic King in Higher Domain #2, the Abyss Wyvern in Higher Domain #7, and the Lord of Souls in Higher Domain #1, right?" Emilia spoke, recalling the information.

"Right," Leon nodded, "But finding them within those domains is another matter entirely, and we have no idea how powerful they are, though I’m not that worried about that anymore."

"So, which one do we start with?" Violet asked, "The one that makes the most sense would be..."

"...The Lord of Souls," Leon nodded, "Plus, based on his name, the fact our souls got stronger will definitely help us."

Leon had the feeling that without that, they would instantly have been killed, as the Lord of Souls would for sure target the souls, his very name suggesting his specialty.

And since he was one of the bosses from an SSS-Rank Quest given by the Hunter himself, Leon knew it wouldn’t be easy as one might think, the difficulty far beyond anything they had faced.

"So you’re finally starting your hunt?"

Leon heard a voice, and behind the group, the Hunter appeared, easily recognizable by the massive backpack he wore behind his back, and his weathered and scarred face.

"I was about to intervene with the Soul Soldier if it got too bad," the Hunter spoke, "After all, getting this new trophy would surely be amazing, but unfortunately it was defeated."

The Hunter acted as if he was sad, sighing heavily and slumping his body, his expression one of exaggerated disappointment.

Noticing that, Leon looked through his Storage Space, and he pulled out an item, its surface gleaming.

"Here," Leon said, handing it over.

[Soul Soldier Head (Trophy): Proof you have beaten the "Soul Soldier".]

"You can have it."

The Hunter’s eyes sparkled as he took the item quickly, not even bothering asking if Leon was sure, and placing it inside of his backpack, his expression one of pure joy.

"Well, I can’t exactly give you nothing for this service," he scratched his chin, "So... how about I help you out."

The Hunter pointed toward a direction and spoke one word: "Tower of Souls."

That was all he said before disappearing, leaving Leon and the girls standing there, the Hunter’s form vanishing into the distance.

"I guess we know where to go now," Leon smiled, "Good."

With that single word, the Hunter had given them exactly what they needed, a direction to follow and a destination to reach.

The Tower of Souls was waiting for them, and with it, the Lord of Souls, the first of their three targets in the Ultimate Hunter quest.

"So we’re going after the Lord of Souls," Violet spoke, her voice steady.
