Chapter 204: 204: Repaying Differently

Ayra slowly approached Miya who was rolling on the floor in pain.

"You brought this upon yourself.." Ayra said. "If you had stayed back, none of this would have happened to you." She shook her head. "But you tried messing with an S-rank dragon cub? How foolish?"

Miya struggled to her feet. She covered the side of her face that was already bruised along with her hand. "You... You did this to me..." She was feeling disgusting with all the bruises on her face now.

As she looked around, Miya could feel everyone staring at her like a monster. There were heavy bruises on her face. Even her husbands were staring at her with distant eyes.

She shook her head as she moved backwards. "No.. I can’t look this ugly and terrible.. this can’t be me.. it can’t happen to me... No!" She snapped in disbelief.

But Ayra said, "You did this to yourself."

And that word alone shattered her. Miya stared in contempt and bitterness.

"You.. you all did this to me! Useless!" She snapped as she turned. "I’ll make sure I make you all pay!"

And so she ran off. She had left her husbands and companions there without looking back, running off into the distance while rushing back to the Silvermoon tribe alone.

Her husbands and beast companions wanted to run after her. But they had instantly grown weak and exhausted.

They all fell down to their knees, holding their chests in pain.

All the pain and hurt they had acquired from a long time was acting up. Miya didn’t properly heal them at all and they had been holding it in.

And now it was surfacing and tearing them down. They were all in pain and felt like going instantly berserk. But Miya was away and couldn’t heal or soothe them at all.

The beastmen of the Netherwild tribe gathered and watched them. Watching as Miya’s husbands and companions suffered through the pain.

"What should we do with them?" One of them asked.

"Aren’t they enemies? We should cast them out to die!" Another said.

"We don’t care about them at all. Why bother?"

Everyone had their opinion. They didn’t seem to really care about them.

But Ayra stared at these beastmen for a while. She couldn’t help but have some reconsiderations in her mind.

And after a while of hesitation, she slowly made her way to them.

"What are you doing?" Lord Vale asked, surprised.

"Mama, come out, it’s dangerous," Ally had left Lord Ash’s hands and followed Ayra behind.

They all watched to see what Ayra was doing. And Ayra approached these beastmen who lay there in pain.

"What is it?" Miya’s tiger husband demanded. "Do you want to kill us now that we’re vulnerable?"

"What do you want? Poison us?" Kul asked.

But Ayra ignored their talk. She bent down close to them and ran her hand on the surface around them.

She had used her purification pheromone energy to soothe the atmosphere and slowly calmed their nerves.

Their pain slowly faded as they felt some relief at the moment. Surprised, these beastmen stared at Ayra while wondering what she had done to them.

Had she actually healed them?!

Everyone gathered around was surprised.

"Huh? What’s happening? Did she actually heal them?"

"Why did she do that? Didn’t they want to kill her?"

"They hated and exiled her to die here. She’s supposed to want them dead? So why is she suddenly healing them?"

"Mama," Ally stared at Ayra. "Why are you healing the bad guys?"

Ayra smiled as she said, "How can we be like them? If we leave them to die, then how are we different from them at all? Wouldn’t we be the monsters they accused us of being?"

Ayra was saying it to the little one. But everyone stood there listening in silence. The words of the female had sunk into their heads and they couldn’t help but nod.

"The female is actually right..."

"And she’s so kind...? How’s that possible even after all they did to her...?"

"She’s too nice. Is she even real?" Rai blinked.

Even Miya’s husbands and companions stared in disbelief. They couldn’t believe that these were words coming from Ayra’s mouth.

They couldn’t believe she would say such nice words and do such good things. Healing, soothing and saving them? How was that even possible after all they’d done to her?

They were speechless by this change!

Ayra smiled as she ran a hand through Ally’s hair. "So... Learn that, okay?"

Ally slowly nodded. "Yes, Mama. I will."

Ayra smiled as she slowly stopped, staring at the shocked faces of those she had healed.

"Don’t think I’m a saint. I didn’t fully heal you. But just enough to take you back to your destination. Now go back with this message."

"Tell your people that we don’t want anything to do with them at all. And we want to live peacefully amongst ourselves. So do that for us and let us be."

"Because if they pull any other silly tricks, I can’t promise being this nice to save them at all. Rather I’ll make sure I use my skills to do the opposite of healing... okay?"

Miya’s husbands and companions stared in shock for a while. And without hesitation, they instantly got up to their feet and ran off.

They were running as fast as their legs could carry them. And in a short while, they had disappeared into the woods and out of sight.

They had escaped from the Netherwild tribe that had traumatized them. Out of sight for good.

And with them gone, Ayra smiled as she slowly turned to meet the faces of everyone staring at her in disbelief.

They still couldn’t believe that Ayra healed the people who exiled her to death. They were all impressed.

Even Nyx was the most shocked. Holding his little squirrel and staring at her.

Ayra smiled as she said, "What is it?" She said as she walked up to little Zay in Zark’s arms. "And guess who the star of the day is. Our little Zay finally showed off his S-rank skills," she said with a bright smile.
