Only I am Venerable

Chapter 447 - 443: Celestial Lake Kingdom

  • Next Chapter

The elusive Qin Li had vanished again!

In Yellow Sand New City, this was the talk of the town. After killing several Outer Elders of Lengqiu Palace from the Land of the Far West, severing one of Hai Jinzun’s arms—the peerless genius of the Hai Family—and thoroughly stirring the pot in Yellow Sand New City, he had silently vanished without a trace.

Many people speculated about Qin Li’s whereabouts. They simply couldn’t figure out what he was trying to do. But one thing was certain: almost everyone had been frightened by Qin Li’s ruthless methods. No one dared to target Hu anymore.

And just by bearing the title of Qin Li’s brother, Hu, the Yellow Sand King, became the true master of Yellow Sand City! Whether it was the Martial Artists from the Mysterious Land or those from the Land of the Far West, no one dared to look down on this mortal noble they had once considered weak. All because the one standing behind Hu was Qin Li.

In truth, many people disdained using threats to obtain the Treasure Map. While scoundrels existed, they were ultimately a minority. Most wanted to acquire the Ancient Map through open and honorable means, then open the Divine Temple to see what lay inside.

Meanwhile, Qin Li was already on the road to the West. A powerhouse at the Pill Nascent Soul Transformation realm, using Void Crossing, it took him only half a month to reach the Celestial Lake Kingdom, a nation at the westernmost edge of the Mortal Realm.

This was a superpower of a nation, with a vast and boundless territory, rich resources, and a high standard of living for its common people. Qin Li could feel this from what he saw and heard along his journey.

Even a random small town, or even a village, would have an inn and a few small taverns, and the prices were incredibly low. Upon reaching the larger cities, the bustling scenery was even more breathtaking.

However, beneath this halo of prosperity, there were dark matters shrouded in the shadows.

Qin Li sat in a restaurant, drinking alone. He wasn’t in Disguise. Dressed in a blue long robe, with no weapon in hand, he looked like a refined and handsome scholar.

This caused quite a few female patrons to cast flirtatious glances his way.

Men like beautiful women, and women, likewise, like exceptional men.

Qin Li’s response to this was utter indifference. He sat there, head down, drinking his wine without the slightest reaction. The current Qin Li’s mentality had undergone a massive change from the past. Whether he was willing to admit it or not, he and the Mortal Realm were now people of two different worlds!

Just then, a group of women suddenly entered. Each was a peerless beauty, alluring and gorgeous. Their clothes were as colorful as butterflies among flowers.

A hint of spring seemed to ripple in every woman’s eyes. They were bewitchingly charming, making it impossible to look away after just one glance. The entire restaurant’s patrons were stirred. Many men wore expressions of utter enthrallment, and some even began to drool on the spot.

Only Qin Li remained unfazed. To avoid standing out too much, he did raise his head and size up the women with an appreciative gaze.

But that one glance made Qin Li’s heart stir slightly. ’These women are not simple at all!’ Although Qin Li wasn’t some veteran Casanova who could determine a woman’s virginity by her appearance and bearing, his Spiritual Power was incredibly formidable. From the source of these women’s spiritual energy, he could tell they were utterly disgusted by the men in the restaurant!

And their thoughts were completely different from their appearances!

’In other words, if anyone thought these women were just some easy, flirtatious ladies and tried to hit on them, they would probably meet a miserable end!’

The women noticed Qin Li as well. Seeing that this fair-faced young master was different from the others, the leader, a tall woman in a white gauze dress and two exaggerated earrings, blinked her almond-shaped eyes and gave Qin Li a captivating smile. She didn’t speak, however, and led the other women to request a large private room, then swayed her hips as she ascended the stairs.

Behind them, they left a chorus of gulping. It was simply too intoxicating; just watching was a thrill!

Quite a few men shot jealous looks at Qin Li, because the woman had smiled only at him. Many cursed inwardly, ’Fair-faced pretty boys really know how to please women. Damn it, why wasn’t I born with a pretty face? Sigh, what’s the use of having only powerful martial strength?’

Just as the women were heading upstairs, a clear voice suddenly came from the restaurant’s entrance: "Ladies, wait a moment. This humble younger brother has followed you all this way. Aren’t you going to invite me up for a cup of tea?"

Everyone in the restaurant turned to look. At the entrance stood a young man in his late twenties, dressed in a sharp white martial arts attire. He was strikingly handsome, with sword-like brows, a face like carved jade, and eyes like bright stars. He held a folded fan in his hand and wore a Hair-Binding Gold Crown.

Everyone couldn’t help but gasp in admiration. ’What a handsome young master!’

Behind the young man followed a group of attendants, about seven or eight of them. The youngest looked to be over fifty. All were dressed in black robes with Treasure Swords on their backs. Judging by the aura they projected, their strength seemed quite impressive.

From the group of women, a young girl in a green dress with a lively and cute appearance turned around. When she spoke, her voice was as crisp as jade pearls falling onto a plate.

The girl looked at the young master with disdain and said, "I say, aren’t you annoying? You’ve been following us for three days. No one here likes you! Put away that act you think is so suave! Would you dare to open that folded fan in your hand? Carrying around that shameless fan, what kind of good person could you be? Get lost! Stay away from us!"

"Insolent!" an old man beside the young master barked coldly.

A gloomy look flashed in the young man’s eyes, but he immediately shook his head slightly at the old man beside him. Then, with a SWISH, he unfurled his folded fan and smiled, "The love between a man and a woman is the most beautiful thing in this world. Why wouldn’t I dare to open it? Even if you don’t dare to admit it, who, in private, doesn’t want to see with their own eyes what’s painted on my fan?"

As the young man opened his folded fan, a wave of low gasps went through the restaurant. The eyes of many men instantly lit up. Some of the female patrons blushed, lowering their heads shyly, but they kept stealing glances at the painting on the fan from the corners of their eyes.

Qin Li laughed inwardly. The fan depicted an Erotic Painting... and from the looks of it, it was the work of a master. The figures were full of life, their poses varied and incredibly vivid.

"Pah!"

The green-robed girl spat, her face flushing red as she fumed, "Pervert!"

A flash of anger passed through the eyes of the leading woman in the white gauze dress, but her expression remained calm. She said faintly, "Xiaolv, don’t lower yourself to their level."

With that, she turned and entered the private room upstairs, the other women following her in single file.

A flicker of rage flashed deep in the young man’s eyes, but it was so well-concealed that few would notice if they weren’t paying attention. He smiled and pointed to a table next to Qin Li’s, saying to the somewhat awkward-looking waiter, "We’ll sit here!"

Qin Li saw the waiter seem to let out a long sigh of relief and hurriedly and attentively arranged for them to be seated.

Qin Li noticed that the waiter seemed to know this young man and was quite afraid of him. He couldn’t help but find it amusing and lowered his head to continue drinking his wine. He had already seen that the young man’s group was not as strong as the group of alluring women. If they tried to use force, they would only be humiliating themselves. Therefore, something like forcibly abducting these women was unlikely to happen. There was no need for him to play the hero and make unnecessary enemies.

After the young man sat down, he finally noticed Qin Li. Seeing another handsome man, his brow furrowed slightly, but he didn’t say anything. His status was incredibly noble; he wouldn’t deign to bicker with a common person. He wouldn’t easily do something that would lower his own standing.

If it weren’t for the fact that every one of these women was flirtatious to the bone, women with natural seductive charm, he would never have been interested. Ordinary women from the Mortal Realm, even those of world-toppling beauty, would find it hard to catch his eye.

Qin Li ate quickly. After finishing, he called the waiter over to settle the bill, wanting to leave this place of trouble as soon as possible. It wasn’t that he was afraid; even if both groups attacked him at once, it wouldn’t be enough to occupy one of his hands. But trouble was something nobody wanted to get involved in voluntarily.

Unexpectedly, though he was fast, the group of women was even faster. Just as the waiter took Qin Li’s silver and left, the women came down from upstairs, having finished their meal.

The alluring woman in the lead, the one in the white gauze dress, noticed the young man still hadn’t left. Her fine brows knitted together, and a trace of annoyance flashed in her eyes. ’If Master hadn’t forbidden us from causing trouble outside,’ she thought, ’I would have taught you a lesson long ago. Following us endlessly is just too obnoxious.’

The woman in the white gauze dress suddenly saw Qin Li, and her eyes lit up. An idea sparked, and she began walking toward him.

Qin Li’s table was by the window, in the opposite direction of the restaurant’s entrance. So, when he saw the woman walking toward him, he was also slightly taken aback.

The other patrons in the restaurant, seeing this group of beautiful women again—a veritable garden of blooming, competing flowers—all grew interested and watched with rapt attention.

The young man in the sharp white attire was at the table right next to Qin Li’s. Seeing the woman in the white gauze dress approach, he assumed she was coming for him. He had experienced this scene three or four times in the past two days—it was always them warning him not to follow them anymore. He had already thought about what he would say today.

A smile appeared on his face, and he was just about to speak when he saw the woman in the white gauze dress walk past him with a blank expression, not even sparing him a glance. She treated him like he was thin air!

The handsome young man in the sharp white attire’s mouth hung open. His face was extremely awkward, the smile frozen in place. Finally, a look of fury and humiliation surfaced in his eyes.
