Only I Can Use Every Power System
Chapter 124: Cha.123 The Ability
The commander announced that the next expedition would be in a week, so Qasim took the opportunity to continue training with Yasmin.
“You are saying that creating the Irada heart causes you to become paralyzed in every way?”
Yasmin asked.
“Yes…”
Qasim nodded before continuing.
“I remember both Valen and Aurora warning me about the danger of trying to use multiple Mohlikat…”
He stared at his hand.
“I thought I was special because I managed to use both Magic and Nahr’Keth, but…”
His hand began to shake as he remembered how helpless he had felt when an invisible force crushed him across all three layers.
“I think I’m reaching my limits in that regard.”
Yasmin stared at him for a moment.
“But you think you can try again?”
Qasim nodded.
“That’s what I want to know, and I need your help to master Irada…”
He then gave her a nervous smile.
“B-But let’s move slowly, just in case…”
Yasmin stared at him with a straight face.
“Don’t worry. The only dangerous and difficult part was creating the heart. What follows is just regular exercise.”
She then pulled out her dagger and pointed it at Qasim before moving it aside.
“First, you need to understand the three Irada types.”
Yasmin created a small black cloud in her hand.
“My type is Manipulator.”
“I can change the properties of my life energy. For me, it’s this black cloud.”
She then increased the size of the cloud until it completely covered her.
“My ability, at the basic level, can hide me so the enemy doesn’t know exactly where I am. It also gives me a speed boost.”
She increased the size of the cloud again until it covered Qasim as well.
Once inside, Qasim couldn’t see, hear, smell, or even sense his surroundings.
Then, suddenly, he felt something touch his shoulder.
He quickly turned around and saw Yasmin standing behind him.
“Then, when I become Hilal-Awal, I can trap others inside this cloud. The number of people depends on who trusts me and how weak they are compared to me.”
Qasim’s eyes widened as he understood what she meant.
“Does this have a limit on how many people you can trap?”
Yasmin stopped her ability before answering.
“I don’t know, but I can at least trap one person inside as long as they aren’t too much stronger than me.”
Qasim nodded as he processed her explanation.
“So it works based on trust and the difference in power? Wait… what power?”
Yasmin raised a finger.
“The step quality.”
“I see…”
Qasim felt excited—and somewhat jealous—of her cool ability.
Yasmin then continued.
“The other types are Dreamer and Enchanter.”
“Dreamers can create solid objects from their life energy.”
Qasim let out a small gasp as he suddenly remembered someone.
“So, like the sloth we fought that day?”
He remembered how the sloth had used floating walls to trap Yasmin inside.
Yasmin tilted her head.
“Who?”
Qasim blinked as he realized that they hadn’t actually fought that enemy from her point of view.
“N-Nothing. I’m just talking to myself.”
Yasmin stared at him quietly.
I have to be more careful…
“As for Enchanters, they can put their raw life energy into their bodies or items, but only one thing.”
“What I mean is that if an Enchanter decides to empower their body, they can’t change it later to empower an item.”
Yasmin then pointed at Qasim.
“We need to know what type you are before we continue training.”
Qasim swallowed slowly before asking her how.
Yasmin asked him to sit down before continuing.
“Your Irada type is heavily affected by your personality, but there is a simple way to know right away.”
She then raised her dagger and pierced it directly into Qasim’s chest without warning.
Qasim’s eyes widened, but before the dagger could reach his heart, something strange happened.
A shockwave pushed Yasmin backward.
Then another shockwave radiated from Qasim.
And another.
The energy continued spreading outward again and again.
Qasim touched the wound before looking at Yasmin.
“Now try to control it,” she said calmly.
Qasim realized that this was the simple way Yasmin had mentioned.
He focused on the radiating energy surrounding him.
He watched as the white energy gradually slowed down until he finally managed to stop it completely.
Then he looked at Yasmin.
“So?”
Yasmin nodded as she stepped closer.
“To protect you, the Irada heart transformed the property of your life energy into something similar to shockwaves…”
Qasim raised an eyebrow with an excited smile.
“So that means…”
Yasmin calmly nodded.
“Yes. You are a Manipulator.”
Qasim let out a victorious scream as he thanked his luck.
Being the same type as Yasmin will help me learn faster and better!
His excited thoughts were quickly cut short when Yasmin whispered with a confused tone.
“Since you are already Hilal-Awal, it probably means that your ability has two uses now…”
“Which means it’s harder to figure out what your ability does at its basic level.”
Qasim’s expression immediately fell.
“Oh…”
But Yasmin’s next words made his eyes sparkle.
“That means we need to train harder now to understand your ability.”
“Yes!” Qasim shouted.
…
Qasim sat on the ground as Yasmin had instructed and began focusing on ????? his ability at will.
With a deep breath, white waves began radiating from his body in all directions, forming a circular pattern around him.
It’s… beautiful.
Qasim was amazed by his ability, but Yasmin quickly pointed out an important detail.
“It can travel through solids…”
“Is that strange?” Qasim asked.
“Yes…”
Yasmin nodded.
“Each type of Irada counters another type. Manipulators are countered by Dreamers, who can create solid objects, because life energy doesn’t usually pass through solids.”
Qasim couldn’t help but curve a satisfied smile onto his face.
“That means I’m special.”
Yasmin narrowed her eyes coldly, making the boy swallow his words before she shook her head.
“I guess I might know why…”
“Your ability is based on energy waves, something like sound, which has the property of passing through solids.”
She then took a small breath.
“In other words, your ability at its basic level does nothing.”
Qasim’s smile froze on his face.
