Chapter 241 - 240: Discovered a Business Opportunity

"I was never mad in the first place, Xiaocai. You’ve actually done me a huge favor!"

Xu Yue grabbed Yang Cai’s hand, her pretty eyes sparkling.

"Since you promised her you wouldn’t reveal her identity, you can go talk to her on my behalf about a partnership!"

At this, both Yang Cai and Xiaolin froze.

"What do you mean?"

"I want to buy the Beauty Milk. How much do you think is a fair price per bottle?"

Xu Yue eagerly explained her idea.

"My company’s products have been struggling to find a competitive edge. I want to buy the Beauty Milk and add it to our skincare line. It’ll be a bestseller for sure."

"Xiaocai, help me ask her how much she wants for it. Would fifty thousand a bottle be acceptable?"

The price she quoted was reasonable by industry standards, but it shocked Yang Cai.

"Fifty thousand! That’s so expensive!"

In Yang Cai’s world, fifty thousand was a fortune that could last for a long time. Her brother worked hard all year just to make fifty or sixty thousand, and yet this tiny bottle of Beauty Milk could sell for fifty thousand all by itself!

"Sister-in-law, you’re not kidding, are you? You really want to spend fifty thousand on this?"

Yang Cai’s face was a mask of disbelief.

"I’m serious. Go talk to her for me. If she thinks the price isn’t right, it’s negotiable."

Xu Yue said, her expression serious.

"Okay, I’ll go back and call her right now."

Yang Cai quickly stood up, said a brief goodbye to the two of them, and left.

She practically ran all the way home. Pushing open the villa’s front door, she saw Mi Ting in the kitchen making dinner.

Hearing the commotion, Mi Ting poked her head out and asked with a smile, "Xiaocai, you’re back?"

Yang Cai didn’t answer. She walked straight into the kitchen and slammed the half-used bottle of Beauty Milk down on the counter.

"Sister Mi Ting, tell me the truth. What is this stuff, really?"

Mi Ting’s smile froze on her face.

She looked into Yang Cai’s red, swollen, but incredibly serious eyes, and the spatula in her hand nearly fell into the pot. Her heart skipped a beat, and her voice was unsteady. "Xiaocai, why are you suddenly asking about this?"

"I had someone test it."

Yang Cai stared directly into Mi Ting’s eyes and said, word by word, "The lab results said it’s... semen. Sister Mi Ting, you knew all along, didn’t you?"

The kitchen fell silent. Mi Ting’s face was a picture of embarrassment.

"I... I did know. But I didn’t mean to trick you at first!"

"That night you suddenly burst in and saw... something on my face. I just blurted out the first excuse I could think of, that it was ’Beauty Milk’! How was I supposed to know you’d ask me for some the very next day and even say it worked wonders?!"

Yang Cai froze. Her mind flashed back to that night. She *had* seen a white liquid on Sister Mi Ting’s face.

"I really wanted to tell you, but I was afraid that a young woman like you would be embarrassed and disgusted, so I kept it a secret. I never thought you’d actually go and get it tested."

Mi Ting was so embarrassed she could have dug a hole with her toes. And she still couldn’t tell her the whole truth.

"I thought it was some amazing new beauty product, so I gave it to my sister-in-law! She thought it smelled weird, so she had it tested at her company."

"You have no idea how mortified I was when my sister-in-law came home and told me. I was terrified I had made her angry."

Yang Cai’s face was full of reproach.

’If Sister Mi Ting hadn’t hidden this from me, I never would have made such a fool of myself.’

"What? Your sister-in-law used it too?"

Mi Ting’s jaw dropped.

Then again, she figured it wasn’t a big deal. ’After all, Yang Xun and Xu Yue are married. They’ve probably already... used it many times behind closed doors.’

"Yeah. My sister-in-law’s company makes skincare products, you know? She sees a business opportunity. If they can add this ingredient to their products, she’s sure they’ll be a massive hit."

"Sister Mi Ting, don’t worry. I didn’t tell her who gave me the ’Beauty Milk.’ My sister-in-law wants me to negotiate a partnership with you. She wants to buy it... for fifty thousand a bottle. What do you think?"

"And if the price isn’t right, she said it’s negotiable."

Yang Cai quickly relayed Xu Yue’s message.

"Fifty thousand!"

Mi Ting was just as shocked as Yang Cai had been when she first heard the number.

"Yeah! You can get more of this ’Beauty Milk,’ right? Fifty thousand is a lot of money! If we can just get a few more bottles, we’ll be set for life!"

As she said this, a faint blush crept onto her cheeks.

Mi Ting stared at her, dumbfounded. "Xiaocai, this is... semen. Your sister-in-law really wants to buy it?"

The young woman nodded frantically. "No one has to know what it is! As long as it works, right?"

Mi Ting opened her mouth, but found she was speechless.

"Sister Mi Ting, please try to get some for me. We’ll sell it to my sister-in-law for fifty thousand. I’ll do all the legwork. Can I take a one-thousand-yuan commission for every bottle sold?"

Yang Cai asked tentatively.

When Mi Ting didn’t answer right away, she looked down, her voice tinged with sadness. "I know I’m asking a lot. But my brother works day and night to earn money, and my medical expenses are so high. I want to earn my own money, to ease his burden."

"If you think one thousand is too much, I can take less. Just... please give me a chance to earn something."

Hearing this, Mi Ting snapped out of her daze and quickly explained, "It’s not that you’re asking for too much. It’s just... this ’Beauty Milk’ isn’t easy to get."

"Can you just help me get one bottle for now? I have to report back to my sister-in-law."

Yang Cai whined, tugging on her arm.

"How can you bear to refuse me? If you hadn’t lied to me, I wouldn’t have made a fool of myself in front of my sister-in-law. You have to help me!"

Her reproachful expression left Mi Ting with no way out.

"Fine, I promise. I’ll go get some now. You just wait here for me, okay?"

’I’d rather wait for Yang Xun to get back,’ Mi Ting thought, ’but if I do that, Yang Cai will definitely suspect the... stuff... is his.’

"Sister Mi Ting, you’re the best!"

Yang Cai said with a beaming smile.

Mi Ting shook her head helplessly, stood up, and walked out.

But the moment she left, Yang Cai secretly followed her.

She followed close behind and hailed a cab of her own. "Driver, follow that blue taxi up ahead."

The driver glanced at her in the rearview mirror and chuckled. "Tailing your boyfriend, little lady?"

"No! That’s my sister!"

Yang Cai’s cheeks flushed slightly as she quickly denied it.

The taxi crossed most of the city before finally stopping in front of the Suiyue Bath Center.

Yang Cai looked up, confused. She couldn’t understand why Mi Ting would come to a bathhouse.

Her curiosity growing, Yang Cai got out of the car and quietly followed Mi Ting, watching as she crossed the lobby and headed straight inside.

After hesitating for a long moment, she mustered her courage and went in too, painfully buying an admission ticket.

The front desk attendant didn’t even notice her. Once inside, Yang Cai ignored the women’s baths and instead followed Mi Ting’s path upstairs.

Afraid of being discovered, she stopped in front of a closed private room door. Immediately, she heard suggestive sounds coming from within.

Yang Cai’s ears instantly turned beet red.

No matter how innocent she was, she knew exactly what those sounds meant.
