Orgasm Treatment

Chapter 375 Uninvited Guest

  • Next Chapter

That day, after processing the last batch of orders, Xu Yue and Yang Xun decided to get off work early and head home to celebrate. However, just as they got into the car, Xu Yue’s phone rang.

“Ms. Xu, hello. Cheng Ye has requested to see you and Mr. Yang Xun.” The stern voice of a police officer came through the receiver.

Yang Xun and Xu Yue exchanged a glance. Ultimately, they decided to make the trip.

Inside the visitation room of the Zhonghai City Detention Center, the cold, white lights were blindingly harsh. Cheng Ye sat behind the glass partition in a gray short-sleeved shirt. His hair was a mess, and dark circles shadowed his eyes. He looked as if he had aged ten years—a stark contrast to the sharp, high-spirited President Cheng who always wore impeccable suits.

Seeing Yang Xun and Xu Yue take their seats opposite him, his lips twitched into an exhausted sneer.

“You’re here.”

Xu Yue didn’t reply, simply watching him in silence.

Leaning back in his chair, Yang Xun asked flatly, “Did you need us for something?”

Cheng Ye fell silent for a few seconds. Then, leaning forward with his hands on the table, he locked his gaze onto Yang Xun. “Xiao Shijun works for you, doesn’t he?”

Yang Xun’s brows twitched slightly. “I don’t know any Xiao Shijun.”

“Drop the act,” Cheng Ye said, his voice raspy but resolute. “He came to me with the formula for Jade Skin Cream, claiming he wanted to help me. I believed him. And the result? The moment something went wrong with the cream, he vanished. If he wasn’t planted by you, how could Xu’s Beauty Industry have developed the Repair Cream in advance?”

Xu Yue finally spoke up, her tone calm and sincere. “Cheng Ye, I truly don’t know Xiao Shijun, let alone send him to sabotage you.”

Cheng Ye’s gaze lingered on her face for a few seconds as if weighing the truth of her words. He then turned back to Yang Xun, his eyes full of scrutiny.

Yang Xun’s expression remained neutral. “I haven’t met him either. I know you were set up, but we weren’t the ones who did it.”

“Then who was it?”

Cheng Ye slumped back as if he had lost all his support. The composed facade he had been forcing finally cracked. “Who else besides you would go to such great lengths to destroy Meiyan Biotechnology?”

“Before Xiao Shijun approached you, did you offend anyone?” Yang Xun asked.

Stunned for a moment, Cheng Ye furrowed his brows. “I’ve offended plenty of people. After doing business for so many years, how could I not have a single enemy?”

“I mean someone capable of orchestrating such a massive scheme.” Yang Xun’s pace was unhurried. “To approach you while your guard was down, hand over a formula that even your R&D team couldn’t see through, and then vanish without a trace once the deed was done… That isn’t something an ordinary person could pull off.”

Cheng Ye’s fingers curled slightly as if he were trying to recall something, but he eventually shook his head. “I don’t know.

“I looked into his background, only to find out later that it was all fake.

“After he resigned, I had someone check his residence. Aside from a few changes of clothes, he left absolutely nothing behind. Even his fingerprints were wiped clean.” Cheng Ye’s voice dropped, laced with teeth-gritting resentment. “To execute it that cleanly, he definitely wasn’t an ordinary person.”

Yang Xun stood up, his tone indifferent. “We’ve said what we needed to say. Look out for yourself.”

He turned and walked toward the door, and Xu Yue rose to follow him.

Just as they were leaving the visitation room, Cheng Ye suddenly called out from behind them, “Don’t celebrate too soon. The person who targeted me might come for you next. My today is your tomorrow.”

Yang Xun paused for a brief moment, but without looking back, he continued out the door.

Stepping out of the detention center’s main gates, the sunlight washed over them, finally dispelling the lingering chill.

Standing beside him, Xu Yue asked softly, “Who do you think it is?”

Various images flashed through Yang Xun’s mind. The fragmented clues were like scattered beads slowly being strung together. He thought of Su Mei. He wondered if she had proactively sent someone to sabotage Cheng Ye just to win him over. That method seemed a bit too ruthless.

“Don’t worry, I’ll get to the bottom of this,” Yang Xun said, wrapping an arm around Xu Yue’s shoulders as they got into the car.

By the time they returned to the Xu Family Villa, it was already evening.

The moment the car pulled into the courtyard, Yang Xun sensed a shift in the atmosphere. An unfamiliar black sedan was parked by the villa’s entrance, its hood coated with a layer of dust from a long drive.

As he pushed the door open and stepped out, he heard unfamiliar voices echoing from the living room, mingling with a child’s laughter and the sound of adults engaged in loud, boastful chatter. Xu Yue heard it too. She furrowed her brows slightly, clearly knowing who the visitors were.

They walked into the living room side by side, and the people seated on the sofa looked up.

A middle-aged woman in her fifties sat right in the center, lounging as comfortably as if she were in her own home. Next to her was a man in a suit, his legs crossed as he looked down at his phone. Beside him sat a woman with permed hair, holding a five- or six-year-old boy in her arms. She was peeling a tangerine, coaxing the child to open his mouth for a bite.

Meng Qiaofei sat opposite them. Her expression was stiff, and her delicate brows were knit tightly together, showing clear resistance toward this family.

Seeing Xu Yue and Yang Xun walk in, Meng Qiaofei stood up as if she had just seen her saviors. “Yueyue, Ah Xun, you’re back.”

Xu Yue’s gaze quickly swept over the people in the living room before landing on Meng Qiaofei. Her tone was gentle. “Qiao Fei, why didn’t you tell me your family was visiting? I haven’t prepared anything.”

Before Meng Qiaofei could respond, Meng’s Mother stood up, her eyes narrowing into slits as she beamed.

“This must be Yueyue! You’ve grown even prettier since I last saw you years ago. And the one next to you must be your husband. What a handsome young man!”

Meng’s Mother showered them with compliments, but her mercenary tone made them slightly uncomfortable. However, since it was hard to be rude to a smiling face, Xu Yue simply offered a faint smile and nodded.

Meng’s Mother pointed to the man in the suit beside her. “This is my son, Meng Zehai, Qiao Fei’s older brother. And this is my daughter-in-law, Wu Sinic. This is our little Xiaobao. Quick, say hello!”

The little boy looked up, mumbled a half-hearted greeting, and immediately lowered his head to continue eating his tangerine.

Xu Yue nodded slightly, remaining polite and courteous throughout, though she was far from enthusiastic.

In truth, Yang Xun had never met Meng Qiaofei’s family before. But judging from the current situation, it seemed her relationship with the Mengs wasn’t good.

Standing to the side, Meng Qiaofei’s expression was filled with apology. She hadn’t expected her family to show up unannounced. They were the type to never lift a finger without a clear benefit in sight. For them to bring the whole family over like this, it definitely meant trouble.

Xu Feifan hadn’t returned home yet, and Xu Qian hadn’t arrived either. That left only Xu Yue, Yang Xun, and Meng Qiaofei to face the entire Meng Family.

The atmosphere in the living room grew somewhat delicate, with no one quite sure what to say.
