In the other room, Yang Xun held Xu Yue in his arms, kissing her. Just as they were about to get to the main event, noise erupted outside the door. He had originally planned to enjoy a wonderful, romantic evening alone with her. Who knew that Meng Xiaobao, that little brat, would refuse to settle down for the night? He was either running around or screaming at the top of his lungs, making it absolutely impossible for Yang Xun and Xu Yue to continue.

“Honey, how about we go stay at a hotel tonight?” Yang Xun suggested with a smile.

Xu Yue’s cheeks flushed red, and she nodded.

“Bring the clothes you need for tomorrow. You can head straight to the office from there,” Yang Xun said as he stood up to pack their things. Ten minutes later, the couple left the villa and headed to a five-star hotel.

Lately, Xu Yue had been so busy with work that she often came home late, and Yang Xun hadn’t had the heart to exhaust her further. After holding back his desires for so many days, finally releasing all that pent-up tension left him feeling completely refreshed. Xu Yue, however, had it much worse. After a night of endless passion, she could barely get out of bed the next morning. Yang Xun gave her a quick massage, after which she finally headed off to the office with a flushed face, while he went to the bathhouse.

Recently, because he had been busy preparing to open his own shop, he rarely worked at the bathhouse. On the few occasions he did go, he only served Su Mei, which had led to complaints from his other clients. Today, Xu Qian had arranged two regular clients for him, both of whom required special services.

Yang Xun pushed open the door to the private suite, and a gorgeous young woman immediately threw herself into his arms.

“You little scoundrel! I’ve been trying to book you for so long, but you never have the time. Are you getting tired of me?” The woman pouted her red lips, her body giving off an enticing rose scent. She had already changed into a sheer negligee, exposing a large expanse of pale, smooth skin that was impossible to look away from.

Yang Xun’s Adam’s apple bobbed. His hands began to wander over her body, and his breathing gradually grew heavy.

“Darling, what are you talking about? I couldn’t adore you more. How could I ever get tired of you? Some things came up at home recently, but the moment I finished dealing with them, I rushed right over. You’re the very first client I’m seeing.”

His sweet words instantly coaxed a smile out of her. He scooped her up into his arms and strode over to the bed.

The room soon filled with passionate romance.

When the battle concluded, the woman was covered in fragrant sweat, looking as if she had ascended to heaven and back. She hadn’t been satisfied in a long time, but Yang Xun managed to thoroughly satiate her in just one morning.

Right after the morning service ended, Yang Xun was about to head to the breakroom when his phone rang. As soon as he answered, Meng Qiaofei’s tearful voice came through the speaker. “Yang Xun, come back quickly! Something happened at the house.”

“What’s wrong? Wait for me, I’m heading back right now.”

Without taking the time to ask for details, Yang Xun rushed outside. He sped all the way, arriving at Jinfu Orchid Garden in barely over ten minutes.

Hearing the sound of the car, Meng Qiaofei hurriedly ran out, her eyes red.

“Qiaofei, what exactly happened?” Yang Xun frowned, instinctively grabbing her hand.

“Yang Xun, I’m so sorry. It’s all my fault. I didn’t keep a close eye on the kid, and he pulled out your plant,” Meng Qiaofei sobbed, her eyes full of guilt.

Hearing this, a loud BUZZ rang in Yang Xun’s head. The Xu Family’s home had plenty of plants and flowers, but the only one that truly belonged to him was the Nine Nether Cold Jade Grass. His heart gave a heavy THUMP, and he strode inside.

In the living room, Meng Xiaobao was running around barefoot, waving a stick he had found somewhere at the empty air. Wu Sinic sat on the sofa, scrolling through her phone without even looking up.

Meng’s Mother was pulling at Xu Feifan, continuously nagging him to have a child early while he was still young. “You’re so useless. There haven’t been any signs of a baby after all these years. I have a secret recipe right here. Drink it tonight, and I guarantee you’ll have a son on your first try.”

Meanwhile, Meng Zehai sat at the dining table, eating. A huge pile of snacks and fruits was laid out in front of him as he simultaneously ate and played on his phone.

As Yang Xun passed through the living room, his gaze swept over the area and landed on the flowerpot placed on the coffee table. His pupils suddenly shrank.

The tender sprout of the Nine Nether Cold Jade Grass had originally grown to half a finger’s height. Now, the break was jagged and uneven, leaving only a single torn leaf standing there all alone. On the soil at the edge of the pot, there was a clear fingerprint, looking as if someone had forcefully dug into the dirt.

Yang Xun’s eyes narrowed, and his voice dropped low. “Who did this?”

The living room instantly fell silent for several seconds. Meng Xiaobao stopped running. The stick in his hand was still raised in mid-air, and a guilty look flashed through his eyes.

Wu Sinic looked up at Yang Xun, acting as if she had just noticed the flowerpot. “Oh, Xiaobao bumped into it while he was playing just now,” she said casually. “It’s just a plant. No need to make a fuss.”

Yang Xun didn’t even look at her. Instead, he walked over to the pot, crouched down, and carefully examined the severed stem. The sprout hadn’t just been bumped off—it had been violently plucked. He gently brushed away the soil with one finger, his expression darkening even further.

“Meng Xiaobao, did you pull off these leaves?”

Frightened by Yang Xun’s stern expression, Meng Xiaobao shrank back and hid behind Wu Sinic. “I… I didn’t do it on purpose!” he cried out tearfully. “I just wanted to see if it was a real flower!”

Wu Sinic shielded her son behind her and raised her voice. “Why are you scaring a child? It’s just a plant, how much could it possibly be worth? If you’re that upset, we’ll just pay you back for it!”

Meng’s Mother also set down her cup and frowned. “Exactly. He’s just a kid who doesn’t know any better, and it’s not like he did it on purpose. You’re an adult, why are you making a fuss over a child’s mistake?”

“He’s a child, but you’re adults. Do you not know how to supervise him?” Yang Xun’s voice was calm, but his face was terrifyingly gloomy. “Having its leaves torn off will severely stunt its growth. In the worst-case scenario, the entire plant will die.”

Meng’s Mother waved her hand dismissively. “If it dies, it dies. Just buy another one.”

“You can’t buy this.” Yang Xun’s tone carried an unquestionable certainty. “It’s called the Nine Nether Cold Jade Grass. The market price for a fully grown stalk is around one hundred million, and even with that kind of money, you still might not be able to get your hands on one.”

The living room went dead silent for a moment. The fried egg in Meng Zehai’s hand nearly dropped onto the table, and Wu Sinic’s expression froze.

Meng’s Mother let out a dry laugh. “Young man, you’re joking with me, right? A single potted plant is worth a hundred million?”

“I’m not joking.” Yang Xun pulled out his phone and immediately dialed the authorities. “Hello, I’d like to report a crime. A highly valuable medicinal herb in my home was intentionally destroyed.”

After hanging up, he turned to look at the Meng Family, his voice perfectly even. “When the police get here, you can explain it to them.”

Meng’s Mother’s face instantly changed colors, and she shot up from her seat. “You… you called the cops?!”

Wu Sinic’s voice pitched into a shrill screech. “Is that really necessary?! It’s just a plant!”

“It’s absolutely necessary.” Yang Xun’s gaze swept over them. “If it turns out this herb is truly dead, you will compensate me based on its market value. Not a single penny less.”

The police arrived faster than expected. By the time the two uniformed officers walked through the door, the Meng Family was in complete chaos.
