Others Summon, I Forge Beast Armor
Chapter 217: An Angel’s Heart
In Luke’s villa, there are many houses. These houses are usually very lively; people are always swimming in their pools or hosting gatherings on their rooftops.
But Luke’s apartment is different, and other neighbours envied his great view of the sea, so they didn’t know why he didn’t host parties as they did.
Tonight, as always, Luke cherishes minimalism.
He is on a date with an angel. What could be more grand than this?
As soon as he got home, Luke summoned Seraphina, and they set up the pretend date together and began.
They placed the plates and cutlery in their respective positions, Seraphina set up the candles, and Luke, like a gentleman, pulled out her chair for her.
Last time, Luke taught Seraphina table manners, and she learned very well.
Now, Seraphina can eat like a princess.
She takes small bites and doesn’t talk with her mouth full.
Also, her elbows are not on the table. This is the last thing Luke taught her, so she’s working hard to perfect it.
It’s really strange not to rest your elbows on the table while eating.
Luke said, "Seraphina, there’s nothing more I can teach you about table manners; you’re ready to have dinner with me at award ceremonies and any future events."
Luke noticed Seraphina staring down at her plate, seriously and aimlessly cutting her chicken breast. He had no choice but to say, "You forgot one rule: maintain eye contact with your companion."
Seraphina put down her knife and fork, bit her lip, and looked up at the person who was watching her expectantly, knowing that she had something on her mind.
"Sorry, Master," Seraphina said. "I just don’t want to be your date anymore. I’m worried that you need to separate your relationships from your summons. Please, take Lucretia Blackstone to the awards ceremony; she needs it more than I do."
"Seraphina, what are you talking about? Luke asked. "What did Amigo tell you now?"
Amigo opened one eye, closed it, and then continued his cultivation wherever he was.
Meanwhile, things at the table became a bit dramatic.
After seeing the interaction between Luke and Lucy today, Seraphina no longer wants to attend the award ceremony.
Seraphina thinks Luke should focus on that relationship, rather than their own, because their bond as summoner and summon is ever-strong.
However, Luke felt confused because he thought Seraphina wanted to spend more time with him, after all, she was a "social" summon.
What Luke didn’t know was that so far, these pretend dates, sleeping in the same bed with Bo and Lan, were exactly the quality time she needed.
Amigo sensed the tension in the air and found it too difficult to handle, so he retreated to Luke’s soul space for refuge.
Luke gritted his teeth, convinced that it was Amigo who had been talking nonsense to Seraphina, but Seraphina touched Luke’s hand to assure him that she was thinking for herself.
"Master, I want to continue being your empyreal angel and remain in that state. Someone like Lucretia Blackstone should be the one standing by your side at public ceremonies and social events, not me. I would wait for you in our private time as I do now."
"But I thought you—" Luke wanted to explain to Seraphina, but he didn’t know what to say.
So, it seems he misunderstood the meaning of the "social" summon?
Amigo, once an Astral Tortoiseling, was a solitary beast dedicated to the pursuit of knowledge at any cost.
But does this mean Amigo goes to the library every day without Luke’s permission?
No, he doesn’t.
If Amigo has to learn, he learns with Luke or under Luke’s supervision.
Similarly, Seraphina... Empyreal Angels were highly social beings in their time, but when Seraphina became Luke’s summon, this trait became concentrated in her summoner, Luke.
She doesn’t need to be showcased at public events to satisfy her social nature.
Sharing meals, spending mornings together, and having intimate moments are what truly fulfil her.
That’s why Seraphina let Luke take Lucy to the awards ceremony.
This is to give each relationship its proper place.
Private intimacy belongs to Luke and Seraphina. Public companionship belongs to Luke and anyone else.
Luke took a deep breath, seeing the irony in it. He thought that by setting her up on a date, he was doing something nice for Seraphina, only to find out that she wanted something different.
Luke looked at their empty plates and smiled, saying, "Seraphina, there’s a table etiquette you seem to have forgotten."
"Really?"
"Yes. You should clean up immediately after finishing your meal."
Seraphina blushed and laughed, thinking she had forgotten something very important and complicated, but it was just some ordinary thing.
Luke helped her, and together they cleaned the table, washed the dishes, and put everything back in its place.
After cleaning up, the two sat on the sofa to enjoy dessert.
Seraphina likes chocolate cake.
As they enjoyed their dessert, Seraphina began to tell Luke stories about angels, their ancient adventures, the distant places they had been, and the countless miles they travelled.
Some journeys took them to new leagues, while others brought them into contact with civilisations that no one knew existed.
The more Luke listened, the more interested he became.
Luke knows that the universe was vast, but hearing from someone who had witnessed just a fragment made him realise how much has happened.
Also, Luke was curious if these forgotten histories were connected to the apocalypse.
Eventually, Seraphina rested her head on Luke’s shoulder, and Luke decided to watch some TV.
He adjusted his position, pulling her closer so she could rest comfortably. But Luke felt her breath under his chin. Looking down, he noticed something unusual: her lips were slightly parted, as if searching for something—his own lips—and her eyes were half-closed, as if taking a risk.
According to the knowledge Seraphina had gained from observing human relationships, the female should give subtle signals before engaging in such intimate behaviour, so that the male can take the initiative.
Fortunately, Seraphina, Luke is a man of initiative.
He lifted her chin, found the perfect angle for their lips to meet, gazed into her starry eyes, and then kissed her most gently, leaving her craving more.
Therefore, Seraphina leaned in closer, the kiss shifting from gentle to passionate, but their foreheads never parted, showing just how much they loved each other.
Seraphina grasped Luke’s neck, then his shoulders, while Luke gently caressed her face with one hand and wrapped the other around her waist.
A few seconds later, Luke began to undress the angel.
Because he made this dress for her, he knows where to start.
Similarly, Seraphina saw Luke getting dressed today, so she also knows how to undress him.
The candle on the dining table was burning out, their shadows became filled with desire, and the room belonged only to them.
Within moments, an interaction worth billions unfolded, forever changing their relationship as master and summon.
