Chapter 1213: Chapter 1213: The Truth Behind the Emergency

"Hey! Big Sister, don’t speak nonsense! That’s the bride chosen by the Ancestral God himself, it has nothing to do with me!" Pei Yan saw Lin Junzhao starting to make wild assumptions and hurriedly stopped him, explaining in detail the marriage arranged by the Ancestral God for Hu Jiu and the agreements signed between the two clans.

After listening to Pei Yan’s explanation, Lin Junzhao’s eyes lit up, and he smiled satisfactorily, saying, "This was indeed my oversight. This pact can significantly enhance the combat power of the investigation hall. Once your business is done, I’ll communicate with the Ancestral God and find a way to obtain more support for the investigation hall from him."

"That would be even better." Upon hearing this, Pei Yan rejoiced inwardly, recognizing that Lin Junzhao, having suffered a loss once, understood that individual strength alone could not contend against a pack of wolves; having one’s own force was the safest guarantee. Now Pei Yan was her most outstanding card, but that wasn’t enough. She was gradually bolstering her position in the investigation hall, further gathering this power under her command.

Of course, Gu Shenghui and others understood this point clearly. However, both parties had mutual needs and aligned goals, so they cooperated and utilized each other.

"Quickly arrange these people, it’s urgent. Bring Hu Jiu, and let’s go." Until the last person walked out of the space passage, Lin Junzhao, already impatient after finishing the exchange with Pei Yan, urged.

"Okay!" Lin Junzhao’s anxious attitude let Pei Yan know the matter was urgent. He replied casually and then beckoned to the leading figure among the Immortal Palace disciples serving behind Lin Junzhao. Seeing this, the other quickly approached Pei Yan, bowed respectfully, and addressed him as Senior.

With Pei Yan’s current strength and status, there’s no need for courtesy. He nodded slightly in return and then asked, "Which sect do you belong to in the Immortal Palace?"

"In response to the Senior, this junior is a disciple of the Mo Sect, sent by Spirit Lord to serve Spirit Lord Lin and support the senior’s passage." The Mo Sect disciple replied truthfully.

"Very well, your task is completed, but I have one matter for you to do." With that, Pei Yan turned back to point at Tushan Suisui and her companions, instructing, "See them? These people are my honored guests. Take them to Yirong Pavilion where my investigation hall resides. Can you do this?"

"Of course, Senior. Rest assured, I will handle this matter and ensure they arrive at Yirong Pavilion safely."

"Mm!" After the instructions, Pei Yan looked at Lin Junzhao and asked, "Is my sister there now?"

"She is!"

With the affirmation, Pei Yan then approached Hu Jiu, glanced at Tushan Suisui and Hati, hesitated for a moment before condensing a mobile phone, infusing it with his message, and handing it to Tushan Suisui, advising, "Hu Jiu and I have important matters to attend to and cannot bring you along. The Immortal Palace disciple will take you to our investigation hall’s residence. Give this to a woman named Pei Jin, my sister, and say that I sent you. Inform her of everything that transpired in the Dragon Realm and your connection with Hu Jiu. Once she hears your story and sees this, she’ll believe you, and the rest is up to her."

Tushan Suisui, thrilled, accepted the item from Pei Yan, understanding that it recognized her relationship with Hu Jiu. Joyfully, she promised, "Rest assured, sir, I will explain everything well to your sister and will keep the subordinates in line, listening to her orders while you and the Young Master are away."

Pei Yan was very satisfied with Tushan Suisui’s response and then glanced at Hati, who had assumed human form. Clearly, he was unwilling to take orders from Tushan Suisui, but when Pei Yan’s gaze swept over him, he immediately suppressed these feelings and nodded in agreement.

Once everything was instructed, Pei Yan no longer concerned himself with these trifles, took Hu Jiu, and followed Lin Junzhao. The three individuals, all top-tier in strength, employed high-speed mobility techniques to head deep into the Immortal Palace.

With Lin Junzhao leading the way ahead, and the Immortal Palace disciples already informed, not a single person dared to obstruct them. Meanwhile, the news of Pei Yan’s return to the Daoist Plane was starting to spread across major sects.

Pei Yan was not preoccupied with thinking about the chain reactions his return might trigger. His mind was fully occupied with what matter Lin Junzhao had for him that was urgent, and whether this matter was connected with the Ancestral God leaving the Dragon Realm and coming here?

Filled with unease and anticipation, Pei Yan accompanied by the others followed closely behind Lin Junzhao. After taking numerous turns in the maze-like Immortal Palace and passing through three secret realm entrances, they finally entered a small world established within the Immortal Palace.

Entering the secret realm, Pei Yan was still amazed by what they’d just seen. The guardians outside the first two secret realms were Ning Quanchen and Lin Xunrou, while the last was Lin Daozi, who should have been in charge of guarding Mei Simiao’s investigation group’s safety in the Immortal Palace. Three Original Disciples under Lin Ruxue watched the entrance to this secret, yet weren’t qualified to enter it. What secrets does this place hold?

"What are you standing around for? Come on! I’m taking you to see an acquaintance!" Lin Junzhao slapped Pei Yan’s head, urging him as he gazed at the entrance of the secret realm he came from.

"An acquaintance?" Pei Yan was even more curious after this, and swiftly followed Lin Junzhao with Hu Jiu, asking.

Lin Junzhao smiled mysteriously, "You’ll know when you get there."

"Wh-why is it her?"

Following Lin Junzhao, passing through the courtyard and into the pavilion, crossing two mechanisms and entering the chamber within the building, Pei Yan was stunned to see the person chained to the wall. He turned to Lin Junzhao, incredulous.

The person on the wall was none other than Little Vlad Cepesh, who had been clandestinely sent back to the Cornerstone Plane by Pei Jin, later possessing Lei Youting’s body as Moira, the disciple of Magic Plane Venerable K. Pei Yan never expected the protected and concealed person to be this individual. Why hide her?

"It’s all because of you. For this matter, the three Masters of Origin have been busy for almost half a month!" Another voice suddenly sounded from outside the chamber. By the voice alone, Pei Yan could tell that it was Lin Ruxue, Lord of the Immortal Palace.

"Because of me?" Pei Yan looked at Lin Ruxue as she stepped into the chamber, even more confused.

"To enable you to absorb the Power of Origin of the Daoist Plane, and to achieve balance with it, you must have the Power of Origin from the Magic Plane to counterbalance. But given your hostile relationship with the Magic Plane now, do you think their Venerable would willingly provide you with his Power of Origin?" Lin Junzhao picked up Lin Ruxue’s words and looked at Pei Yan, questioning.

"Oh! I get it! You’re talking about the Power of Origin within her!" Pointed out by Lin Junzhao, Pei Yan suddenly realized, exclaiming while pointing at Moira.
