Out of fear of death, Invest Everything into Health
Chapter 954 - 369: Unpredictable Future (Final - Part 1)
Fan Wubing did not joyfully approach, but stood still, gazing at Si Jiuyou on the throne.
The way Si Jiuyou looked at him hadn’t changed; it was still filled with the affection and concern of a senior sister toward her junior brother. She wore a cloak of crimson-gold feathers and a feathered crown on her head. Normally she wore no makeup, but now she had golden eyeliner and gilt lip gloss.
She appeared as noble as someone who had never been among mortals.
She slightly opened her mouth, her voice soft and beautiful, with the sweetness of a young girl,
"Wubing, this journey has been too long."
But she was not an ignorant maiden; she was a queen standing above all beings and fate.
Fan Wubing lowered his eyes slightly and replied softly,
"Indeed, twenty-five thousand seven hundred and eighty-three years have passed. Our meeting was the beginning of chaos. Our reunion..."
He stopped, looking at Si Jiuyou.
Si Jiuyou added softly to his words,
"...is the end of chaos."
Fan Wubing lowered his head and asked,
"The first time I came here, I didn’t find the eternal essence. Did you take it?"
Si Jiuyou nodded, "It was me."
"So, in fact, you’ve been deceiving me all along. You didn’t go to the Great Wilderness World via the Path of Eternity; you descended using the eternal essence." Fan Wubing raised his head. The emotions in his eyes were indescribable, "The heavens that controlled the Great Wilderness World for twenty thousand years were actually fabricated by you. You knew I would return to the Great Wilderness World because of the True Dragon’s will, so you were always waiting there for me."
Si Jiuyou stood up from the throne and walked to the edge of the cliff. Beyond the cliff lay the boundless Void Realm, which she gazed at steadily, her long hair waving in the wind.
She calmly affirmed,
"Yes. I am the eternity you must face."
Fan Wubing’s voice trembled,
"But if you have already reached eternity, why did you allow me to be born?"
Si Jiuyou turned back, smiling slightly,
"Because we are family."
Fan Wubing shook his head, "My family wouldn’t deceive me."
Si Jiuyou paused, then turned her head again, "Wubing, Jiang Ran is a good person. You must cherish her."
"Why suddenly mention her?"
"Because you are a child afraid of loneliness; you need someone by your side," Si Jiuyou said, "Freedom always comes at a price; it is not as beautiful as you imagine, nor is it ever so easy to achieve."
Fan Wubing looked at her directly,
"Why do you see her as the one by my side? Is this arrangement or an inevitable choice?"
Si Jiuyou said, "Because she has transcended fate and is now a free person."
"But have you ever thought that this kind of freedom is not what she wanted, nor I!" Fan Wubing’s voice boiled like hot water, "If freedom is given by others, is it still freedom?"
Si Jiuyou fell into silence.
Fan Wubing shouted, "Answer me!"
Si Jiuyou still remained silent, facing away from him.
Fan Wubing clenched his fists, gritting his teeth, "If you really consider me family, then face me properly and tell me what all of this is for!"
Si Jiuyou could ignore everything, but she could not ignore "family."
The word she had pursued all her life now constrained and entangled her. She turned around, no longer hiding, facing Fan Wubing,
"Do you want to know the answer?"
"Yes!"
"If you knew the answer, would you still adhere to your beliefs?"
"What do you mean?"
Si Jiuyou said earnestly, "Adhering to your pursuit of true freedom."
Fan Wubing spoke seriously, "What I pursue is true freedom, not the shell of freedom, but the soul of freedom. I firmly believe that only in a free world can a free soul be nurtured!"
Si Jiuyou smiled slightly, "A good answer. Wubing, you possess a belief that your senior sister could never attain in her lifetime." She removed the feathered crown from her head, placing it on the nearby throne, and let her hair cascade down like a waterfall, "Promise your senior sister, no matter what, always stick to your beliefs."
Her words made Fan Wubing’s lips tremble slightly,
"After all..."
Si Jiuyou’s mood was somewhat low, "I don’t want you to feel that I am deceiving you again, so let me show you my experiences with your own eyes."
Her demeanor made Fan Wubing feel heavy-hearted.
He realized that his earlier words had hurt his senior sister.
Si Jiuyou walked over to Fan Wubing, extending her hand. She showed that bright smile belonging to Fu Ming, like a radiant sunflower,
"Hold your senior sister’s hand."
Fan Wubing felt a moment of trance.
When he was young, at the Eternal Immortal Sect, because of his "porcelain doll" condition, his senior sister often said this to him. Holding his senior sister’s hand was the most reassuring thing for him at the Eternal Immortal Sect. Her hand wasn’t broad, as slender as most women’s, yet to him, it was an irreplaceable support.
In Si Jiuyou’s eyes, his trance appeared as hesitation and distrust.
Si Jiuyou couldn’t hide her disappointment and lowered her hand.
But, just as she released her grasp, Fan Wubing caught it. Fan Wubing said,
"See, now I can completely hold your hand."
Si Jiuyou’s eyes brightened. Her brows furrowed, yet her lips bore a pure smile,
"Hmm."
With that, she took a step, embarking alongside Fan Wubing on a journey of ascension.
Together, they shed their true life forms, just like Fan Wubing seeking Jiang Ran, ascending as beings of will.
Fan Wubing realized that his senior sister’s intention of "seeing her experiences with his own eyes" was to take him along to feel her cyclical destiny.
