Chapter 491: Returning to Huaxia, Did Master Go on Vacation?
By the edge of the tall grass, the mother leopard gently licked her newborn cubs.
She cast a deeply grateful look at Ning Fei, her eyes appearing somewhat moist.
The viewers in the live stream were stunned by the scene.
"Look, the mother leopard looks like she's crying."
"It's true! There are tears in her eyes."
"Animals are deeply emotional to begin with. Clouded leopards are highly intelligent, so it's only natural."
"The mother leopard is so grateful to the Temple Master!"
Ning Fei felt a warmth in his chest as he watched them.
He knew she had just given birth and needed to rest without any disturbances.
Reluctantly, he said, "Get some good rest. You worked hard."With that, he walked back to where he had left his things, hoisted his hiking bag onto his shoulders, and led the little ones away.
"A leopard that has just given birth generally needs to rest and nurse her cubs,"
"so it wouldn't be right for me to bother them,"
Ning Fei told the viewers in the live stream.
"The mother leopard worked so hard, but where is the male?!"
"Despicable! All men in the world are the same!"
"Don't just attack everyone. There are plenty of good men out there. Just because you haven't met one doesn't mean they don't exist."
"Men are just irresponsible."
Before long, an argument broke out among the viewers.
However, the sheer volume of comments quickly drowned them out, and the moderators swiftly banned or muted the troublemakers.
Anyone trying to incite gender wars was instantly silenced.
People generally got along fine in the real world, so it was always baffling why a certain demographic loved to stir up this toxic sludge online.
Ning Fei did not pay much attention to the comments. He simply kept walking, leading his small menagerie forward.
Before they knew it, the sky began to darken.
Trekking through the wilderness had left the little ones exhausted.
Aside from Little Dog, who was still trotting energetically on its own, the rest of the pets were being carried by Ning Fei.
Little Fox lay draped lazily over his shoulder.
Meanwhile, the three Xiao Heijiu, having slept on Ning Fei's back all day, were growing restless.
They had stored up plenty of energy and were now wide awake.
They scrambled all over him, with one particularly mischievous kitten attempting to scale its way onto his head.
Ning Fei casually plucked them off and tucked them securely into the collar of his shirt.
Only then did the kittens finally settle down.
Fortunately, it did not take long to reach the small town and return to the Qingfeng Cruise Ship at the harbor.
Crossing the Tropical Rainforest had not been overly difficult.
Even so, a full day of hiking left Ning Fei covered in sweat and his shoes caked in mud. His pets were in a similar state, especially Little Dog, whose four paws were plastered in thick grime.
"Come on, everyone is taking a bath tonight,"
"Let's get all of you cleaned up,"
Ning Fei told the little ones once they boarded the yacht.
Little Fox and Little Dog didn't mind the mention of a bath, but the three black kittens immediately bolted.
Their frantic escape had the viewers howling with laughter.
"The Xiao Heijiu are terrified of baths! That's too cute!"
"All cats are like that!"
Ning Fei was entirely used to their antics. Little Fox had already hopped down to hunt them out and would soon drag them back by the scruff of their necks, one by one.
The Qingfeng Cruise Ship sailed out of the harbor while Ning Fei bathed his pets inside the cabin.
About an hour later, the animals trotted out of the cabin, thoroughly scrubbed and completely pristine.
Ning Fei followed closely behind, feeling refreshed. He stepped out onto the deck to relax in the sea breeze.
The Qingfeng Cruise Ship steadily charted a course toward its next destination.
"Where are we off to now, Temple Master?"
"Yeah, you've explored the Bermuda Triangle and visited primitive tribes. Is there anywhere left to go?"
"I can't wait to see the next spot on the itinerary."
Reading the comments, Ning Fei decided to chat with his audience for a bit.
"I need to head back for a few days,"
"My master has a few things that need my attention," he said with a shrug.
"What is the old Temple Master up to? Tell us!"
"Sounds like it's going to be exciting!"
Ning Fei smiled at their enthusiasm.
"It's nothing major. He's planning to take his wife to a few scenic spots for a vacation."
"Meanwhile, Bai Yi just started her summer break. Since there's no one around to look after her, my master asked me to do it."
"I'll have to take her under my wing for a while."
The viewers instantly began to tease him.
"It sounds like Temple Master Ning finds his junior sister to be a massive burden."
"Didn't Bai Yi make it onto this year's Top Ten Huaxia Campus Beauties Ranking?"
"Holy crap! That girl named Bai Yi is the Temple Master's junior sister?"
"You just figured that out?"
"Does Qingfeng Temple only accept disciples based on their looks? Why are they all so ridiculously attractive?!"
"Great mountains, pure water, excellent feng shui. When the land is blessed, it's only natural for it to produce outstanding people."
"Good lord, I had no idea Bai Yi was his junior sister! There are tons of hardcore fans of hers at my university."
The conversation grew more excited by the second.
Staring out at the rolling waves, Ning Fei could only shake his head in helpless amusement.
"The old Temple Master is so romantic, taking his wife on a vacation."
"Haha, anyone who could raise a disciple like Temple Master Ning has to be an absolute legend themselves."
The Qingfeng Cruise Ship cut cleanly through the ocean, speeding steadily along its course.
This voyage had been incredibly fruitful.
Several days later, Ning Fei finally returned to the South China Sea.
He crossed paths with a few Huaxia patrol boats. Seeing the red flags fluttering proudly at their bows filled him with a deep sense of familiarity and warmth.
Even the ocean breeze felt more liberating within Huaxia's borders.
At the very least, he wouldn't have to worry about any random pirates suddenly ambushing him here.
Upon returning to his seaside villa, Ning Fei contacted the staff at Fuxing Technology Company to perform maintenance on the Qingfeng Cruise Ship.
A luxury yacht of this caliber required regular servicing, which came with a hefty price tag.
Fortunately, as a premium VIP of Fuxing Technology, he didn't need to worry too much about the details.
Soon after, Ning Fei made his way back to Qingfeng Temple.
Qinshan Village remained exactly as he remembered it—picturesque and exceptionally beautiful.
Everything was also running smoothly over at the Wenyan Deer Enclosure.
Ning Fei was a responsible older brother. Since Bai Yi was about to start her summer vacation, he fully intended to head to Jingdu to pick her up.
Leaving his pets to rest at the deer sanctuary, he set off for Jingdu.
When Jiang Feng from the Xuanhu Medical Center heard that Ning Fei was visiting the city, he immediately invited him to dinner.
As one of the earliest high-rolling supporters in Ning Fei's live stream, Jiang Feng had built a solid rapport with him over time. The two were genuinely friends.
Now that Jiang Xue was managing the deer sanctuary for Ning Fei, they had even more reasons to stay in touch.
Knowing Ning Fei's laid-back personality, Jiang Feng simply prepared some specialty dishes at his high-end residential apartment rather than hosting a lavish banquet at a luxury hotel.
They had a great time catching up over the meal.
"Ning Guan master, I have a small favor to ask. I was hoping you'd be willing to help out,"
Jiang Feng asked politely.
As the man currently running his family's enterprise, Jiang Feng was a true dragon and a phoenix among people. Naturally, business was always at the forefront of his mind.
"Tell me what it is first,"
Ning Fei replied at a leisurely pace, taking a sip of tea.
"It's like this: tomorrow, we are opening a new traditional Chinese medicine hospital in Jingdu City. It will be the largest of its kind in Huaxia, equipped with the nation's most extensive traditional pharmacy."
"Our family has always wanted to promote traditional Chinese medicine and carry it forward."
"As far as we're concerned, combining traditional and Western medicine is the absolute best way to treat patients."
"We need to hang a plaque in the pharmacy with some calligraphy inscribed on it. We were hoping to borrow some of your good fortune by having you write it."
"Of course, I know that your calligraphy and paintings are incredibly valuable now. I'm more than willing to pay a premium price,"
Jiang Feng said sincerely.
"Calligraphy?"
Ning Fei hadn't expected such a request.
In truth, Ning Fei was massively famous in Huaxia right now. Many people practically viewed him as a living immortal.
Asking him for a calligraphy inscription was partly for good luck and partly a brilliant marketing move.
Jiang Feng had played this card beautifully.
To Ning Fei, writing a few words was no big deal. As long as the hospital was saving lives and helping patients, his contribution would be a good deed.
Xuanhu Medical Center had a solid reputation in Huaxia, and the major hospitals they operated in various provincial capitals were highly praised.
Because of this, Ning Fei decided to agree to the favor.
He would, of course, still accept the payment.
However, the inscription he ultimately wrote turned out to be something even Jiang Feng hadn't anticipated.
The very next day, Ning Fei's calligraphy utterly dominated the trending search charts, drawing immense public attention.
