Pampered by My Secret Husband

Chapter 1399 - 1401: If You Don’t Speak, I’ll Kiss You

"Isabel contacted her, trying to seek her help and assistance." After a pause, she added, "Also, she told me to leave Country A, saying this is not where I should stay."

This sentence, isn’t it enough for her to suspect that there is something shady going on between Lillian Spencer and him?

"Did she really say that to you?" Thomas Shannon’s eyes were deep in thought.

Knowing Lillian Spencer for so many years, she doesn’t seem like someone who would trouble a woman.

If Sophie Sullivan wasn’t lying to him, then... sending her back to Country F would be the safest option.

"Do I look like I’m lying to you?" Sophie Sullivan glared at him fiercely, forcibly prying off the hand he had on her chin.

Thomas Shannon chuckled lightly, lowered his head, and affectionately rubbed his high nose against hers, "Are you mad?"

"... ..."

"I just worry about you, don’t want anything to happen to you."

"... ..."

"Wife, don’t be angry, okay?"

"... ..."

"If you don’t speak, I’ll kiss you." Thomas Shannon said, making a move, and Sophie Sullivan hurriedly reached out to cover his thin lips, giving him a sidelong glance, "I refuse!"

Thomas Shannon laughed deeply and quietly, giving her soft palm a light peck, "I thought you’d be as eager as I am."

Sophie Sullivan withdrew her hand, yawned, leaned her head into his embrace, snuggled a bit to find a comfortable position, and closed her eyes to sleep.

A few seconds later, she opened her eyes again, warning him, "Don’t mess with me, and definitely don’t disturb my sleep, understand?"

"I won’t, sleep peacefully." Thomas Shannon held her, lightly patting her back.

It was rare for her to nestle so obediently into his arms, how could he bear to disturb her?

The night was deep, and Sophie Sullivan had already fallen asleep.

Inside the spacious bedroom, only a dim wall lamp remained.

Thomas Shannon gently placed a kiss on Sophie Sullivan’s rosy cheek while she slept, then quietly got out of bed.

Downstairs, Charlie River was already waiting there. Seeing Thomas Shannon come down, he immediately said, "Young Master, Lillian Spencer has agreed."

"Okay, prepare the car." Thomas Shannon’s handsome face turned somber as he strode away like a meteor.

Presidential Mansion.

Thomas Shannon’s late-night visit was immediately granted entry by the sentries.

Lillian Spencer sat in the main hall, the night-shift servant had already been dismissed, and the guards had retreated outside.

Thomas Shannon, accompanied by Charlie River, stepped into the brightly lit main hall, where Lillian Spencer had her hand resting on her forehead, looking rather unwell.

"You’re here." Lillian Spencer smiled enigmatically, but the smile didn’t reach her eyes.

Thomas Shannon seated himself casually, crossed his long legs, and, after lighting a cigarette and blowing out a smoke ring, finally spoke, "Lillian Spencer, I know what you’re doing, and I think you should understand what K Group means to Country A. This is my only request: don’t cross my bottom line."

"You’re referring to Sophie Sullivan?" Lillian Spencer chuckled.

... ...

Sophie Sullivan, half asleep, was woken up by hunger.

She reached out her hand, trying to call Thomas Shannon, but after groping around for a while beside her, she didn’t find anyone.

She opened her eyes, rubbed them with one hand, and glanced around. Where was Thomas Shannon’s shadow by her side?!

She gradually sat up, looked around, and tried calling out, "Thomas Shannon?"

No one answered.

She got up, left the bedroom, and as soon as she was spotted by the night-shift servant in the corridor, they walked up and quietly asked, "Young Madam, do you need something?"

"Where’s Thomas Shannon?"

"The Young Master has gone out," the servant said truthfully.

Gone out?

In the middle of the night, where could he have gone without her knowing?
