Pampered by My Secret Husband
Chapter 1486 - 1488: I Came to Apologize to You
The man in black saw her and William Westlake, and immediately greeted respectfully, "Young Madam, Young Master."
Sophie Sullivan then noticed the man leaning against the wall smoking a cigarette, as well as William Guillen beside him.
Oliver Westlake was lying in Sophie’s embrace, so exhausted that he had fallen asleep.
Sophie didn’t want to argue with him, so she carried Oliver into the suite. Just as she was about to close the door, a hand inserted itself through.
Thomas Shannon’s low voice deliberately softened a few degrees: "Let’s talk."
"I have nothing to talk about with you."
Sophie refused flatly, with no room for discussion.
Thomas sighed, "I’m here to apologize to you. If you don’t want to wake Oliver, let me in."
In her arms, Oliver was already asleep, his little face flushed as he slept.
The little fellow had limited energy; after playing all night, he was exhausted.
After considering for some time, Sophie finally released the door, carried Oliver back to the bedroom, placed him lying on the bed, and pulled up the quilt, covering him well before she quietly left the bedroom.
Coming out of the bedroom, Thomas and William had already seated themselves openly on the sofa. Seeing her, William nodded in indication, "Long time no see."
Indeed, it was a long time no see.
Sophie lightly nodded, poured herself a cup of water, took a sip, and looked at them, "If you have something to say, say it quickly. I don’t have much time to entertain you."
Holding a grudge indeed!
Thomas let out an almost inaudible chuckle, "Lan, you speak first."
"I..." William hesitated, seemingly finding it difficult to speak.
Thomas stood up, "I’ll go check on Oliver."
Sophie blocked his path, narrowing her beautiful eyes slightly as a warning, "Don’t wake him, or I won’t let you off!"
Thomas gripped her shoulder with one hand, pushing her aside, "Your concern is unnecessary."
He wasn’t so thoughtless as to disturb someone’s peaceful dream.
William rose awkwardly, looking at Sophie, "Maniac, there’s something I hope you can tell me truthfully."
"What is it?" Sophie sat down on the sofa opposite, leisurely sipping water.
"It’s about Fluffy." William’s expression was sincere, "Fluffy went to Country F to relax a while ago. Can you tell me, did she try to find you?"
This is probably the greatest irony in the world.
Sophie wanted to laugh; on what basis was he asking her this now?
On what basis did he think she would tell him where Fluffy Zane was?
Those years he didn’t know how to cherish, and only regretted missing out.
However, there never was a regret pill in this world, and time would never flow backward.
The damage already caused was indelible.
"William Guillen, don’t you feel that you have no standing and need to ask about Fluffy anymore?" Sophie put down the glass, her beautiful eyes unwaveringly fixed on him, with a touch of disdain: "Even if you have feelings for Fluffy, even if after losing her you realize there were some feelings, so what? Time has moved on, Fluffy is married and has become a mother, with an adorable daughter, what’s the point in you clinging on bitterly?"
William collapsed back down on the sofa, burying his face in his palms, "It’s me who wronged her... I just want to know how she is doing."
"Hah." Sophie sneered, "If she’s doing well, what will you do? If she’s doing poorly, what can you do? William Guillen, you’re Fluffy’s history now, she’s moved on, can you stop pestering and adding unnecessary trouble to her?"
Silence.
Suffocating silence.
