Pampered by Short-Lived Bigshot
Chapter 1784: Sunrise, Sneaked Kiss, Sharing a Bed (3)
The black hair lay softly, smoothing out some of his cold and hard disposition.
The sofa could fit at most three people, but for someone of his height, it was too small. He was curled up, covered with a blanket, which had already slipped down past his waist and was hanging down to the floor.
Jiang Ruan walked over, helped him pull up the blanket, squatted by the sofa, and propped her chin to look at him.
Yan Chi was truly very handsome. No wonder that even after graduating, he still captivated so many girls at school.
Thinking about how the senior, admired by everyone, was actually her boyfriend, Jiang Ruan felt an indescribable pleasure. She lifted her hand, gently pressing it between his eyebrows. How could he frown even while asleep? She pressed twice without any reaction, worried about waking him, she withdrew her hand.
She stood up, bent down, and lightly pecked his face—a soft, fluttering kiss.
Then she moved to Yan Chi’s computer. The open page displayed some spreadsheet data, and she gently typed on the keyboard, saving all the data before shutting down the computer for him.
Jiang Ruan tiptoed softly, preparing to leave.
Suddenly—
A hand extended from under the blanket, grabbing her wrist.
The only light source disappeared, plunging the surroundings into darkness. Her hand was suddenly caught, and Jiang Ruan instinctively cried out. The next second, she was pulled down with a force that made her topple onto the sofa, sprawling on top of Yan Chi.
"Ruan Ruan—" his voice was hoarse.
"You stole a kiss from me."
Jiang Ruan was startled, her heart still racing, leaning against him and feeling embarrassed for being caught stealing a kiss. Their bodies were close, and she could feel that his body was...
Burning hot.
"I just wanted to see how you were sleeping."
"I didn’t sleep well at all."
Yan Chi’s long legs and tall frame were cramped on this small sofa, so how could he be comfortable?
Jiang Ruan’s mind went blank, and she blurted out, "Then go sleep in the bed."
The moment she said it, Jiang Ruan realized how bold her words were. Her face flushed with warmth.
Yan Chi let out a low chuckle, his breath like molten lava slowly eroding her.
Their breaths intertwined...
Ambiguous, entangled.
"I said I didn’t sleep well, and you just let me into your room..."
His voice grew deeper, his breath like a flame gradually engulfing the slight coolness on her face.
"Ruan Ruan, why are you so soft-hearted."
"Aren’t you afraid I’d do something to you?"
"Would you?" Jiang Ruan spoke cautiously, her voice trembling slightly. She had never been this close to him, lying on top of him, so close.
She dared not move, fearing to provoke him.
"I wouldn’t, but..." Yan Chi looked at her, "I’ve thought about it."
Yan Chi was a normal man, and if faced with a girl he liked, being this close and feeling nothing at all, that wouldn’t be normal. Jiang Ruan knew this in her heart but didn’t expect Yan Chi to be so bold and straightforward, just confessing it to her...
About her!
He had thoughts.
The surroundings were very dark, the moon already waning after the fifteenth of the Mid-Autumn Festival, and with the starlight, it slowly flowed through the glass on one side into the cabin.
Moonlight adorned, sketching a soft blush on Jiang Ruan’s face.
Warm, alluring.
Yan Chi’s fingers suddenly supported the back of her head, pulling her entirely towards him...
The waning moon hung high, the wind on the sea becoming especially gentle.
...
Jiang Ruan didn’t even know how she returned to her room, only knowing Yan Chi carried her back. Probably because he was in too much of a hurry, and the cabin was low, Yan Chi accidentally bumped his head on the door frame above with a dull thud, making Jiang Ruan laugh hysterically.
The two lay on one bed. Jiang Ruan originally thought she might be too nervous to sleep, yet she unexpectedly soon fell asleep.
The bed was large, and the two weren’t touching.
Not until Jiang Ruan was sound asleep did Yan Chi turn over and gently pull her into his arms.
While Jiang Ruan slept deeply, Yan Chi couldn’t sleep for half the night and got up after four in the morning, sitting on the deck to enjoy the sea breeze for a while.
The wind was coldest at dawn, but it seemed there was a smoldering fire in his heart that couldn’t be extinguished.
Not until the east began to glow red did he return to the cabin to wake Jiang Ruan.
Jiang Ruan stood on the deck, watching the sunrise to the east, her small face illuminated brightly by the red light of the sun. Yan Chi, having lived by the sea since childhood, was not particularly interested in the sunrise, merely watched her quietly.
He took out his mobile phone and secretly took a few photos.

They returned to the harbor, already past ten in the morning. The person in charge had stayed on guard all night, finally breathing a sigh of relief upon seeing the two return safely.
"After lunch, I’ll take you back to school." The next day the formal classes would start, and she probably had dormitory affairs to organize too.
Only then did Jiang Ruan remember she had already arranged to have lunch with her roommates, "But... I had plans with my roommates."
She wanted to have lunch with Yan Chi, but she also promised her roommates, feeling a bit troubled.
"Already have plans?"
"Mm-hm."
"How about..." Yan Chi looked at her, seeking her opinion, "I treat you and your roommates to a meal?"
"You treat?"
At school, it’s quite normal for a roommate with a boyfriend to treat them to a meal, but Jiang Ruan was a bit hesitant.
"What? You think I’m not presentable, can’t meet them?" Yan Chi wasn’t insisting on meeting her roommates. He just wanted to get to know her friends. Jiang Ruan stayed in the dormitory, spending most of her time with her roommates. Yan Chi just wanted to win them over, hoping they would take good care of her.
Jiang Ruan smiled, "Then I’ll tell them."
She picked up her phone and posted a message in the group:
[@everyone, there’s one more person joining us for lunch today.]
[Sure, no problem.]
[Is it a guy or a girl?]
[Jiang Xiaoruan, isn’t that childhood friend of yours gone yet?]
[Is Qi Lie the one who brought you? You two are something, you’ve been off the grid for an entire holiday, are you two secretly dating?]
...
Jiang Ruan didn’t clarify who it was, as they didn’t know she was dating. It was hard to explain over the phone, as the three roommates were already on their way to the city, completely unaware.
When they saw Yan Chi, they thought they were dreaming.
