Shadow fell silent immediately after hearing this.

“Right, I remember you secretly contacted quite a few forces. Any news from that side?”

Ye Luo clearly remembered that before Shadow came to this Dark Alliance, he had made preparations.

Shadow pondered for a moment. “There haven’t been any concrete replies, they only informed me that a few sects are somewhat different! But as for exactly how they’re different, they didn’t tell me in detail!”

“Oh?” Ye Luo immediately became curious. “Which sects?”

“Some small sects and forces I didn’t bother with. But there is one sect called Tianyi Sect, extremely large. It’s said that back in the day it was the number one sect of this Dark Alliance! Although its power has waned now, it’s still not a sect that others can bully!”

Tianyi Sect, huh? Ye Luo narrowed his eyes. This information might be insignificant to Shadow, because he doesn’t understand these sects, but to Ye Luo, this was major news!

The difference Shadow mentioned very likely meant these sects had not been taken over by the Seed Forces.

At once, he unfolded the map they’d gotten from Ice Gate Sect!

Sure enough, Tianyi Sect’s location was marked; it was actually near the Forest of Death.

Which meant it was the place farthest from that modern city.

“Our target is this Tianyi Sect.” Ye Luo said directly.

Shadow looked at Ye Luo, puzzled. “Tianyi Sect is basically in seclusion now, they don’t have any contact with the outside world at all. Even if we go to join them, they might not bother with us.”

Ye Luo didn’t explain much and simply headed straight for the border!

Leave as soon as he decided to! Catch the Killing Sect off guard! That was what Ye Luo wanted to do.

The cultivators monitoring them from behind clearly had no intention of making a move against them.

Very soon, they once again arrived at the border of the Forest of Death, where quite a few Guards of the Killing Sect were patrolling.

Immediately, a Guard stepped forward to question them.

The Guard could only question them; he had no authority to stop them. After all, they all had Identity Tokens—by rights, their actions shouldn’t be interfered with.

Hearing this, the Guard could only leave.

Ye Luo’s group did not head toward the Forest of Death, but instead walked south along the edge of the forest.

In this direction, people were scarce; it was basically an abandoned area. Chances were only Tianyi Sect was stationed over there.

At this moment, in the grand hall of the Killing Sect’s Sect Master, a Hei Yi man hurried in to report.

“What is it? Why are you so flustered?”

“Reporting to Sect Master, that group is heading toward the southern border!” Hei Yi answered at once.

“Southern border?” The Sect Master was puzzled, then his face changed slightly. “When did this happen?”

“About four hours ago!”

“What!” The Sect Master roared in fury on the spot.

“Sect Master has been in seclusion, we didn’t dare disturb you. Besides, they have Identity Tokens, we had no reason to stop them!” Hei Yi said.

“Idiots!” The Sect Master cursed on the spot. “Those Tokens only exist to lure Loose Cultivators to join us! Hurry up and drag those people back here for me! If they refuse to obey, kill them all without mercy!”

Hei Yi immediately darted out of the grand hall.

By this time, Ye Luo and his group had already left the territory of the Killing Sect.

“Ye Luo, do you think the Killing Sect will come after us once they find out we’ve left?” Luo Xue asked curiously.

“Of course they will. But since we’ve already left the Killing Sect’s territory, they’ll have to show some restraint.” Ye Luo said with a smile.

In truth, he didn’t care about the Killing Sect’s pursuit at all! As long as he didn’t provoke the Seed Forces, the power of a mere sect couldn’t pose any threat to him.

“Looks like they’re faster than we thought.” Shadow suddenly said.

Right after that, a group of riders rushed up from behind them!

No wonder they were so fast—they were mounted on airborne Demon Beasts.

Moreover, Ye Luo’s group hadn’t hurried on their way, so being overtaken wasn’t surprising.

“You dare to leave the Killing Sect’s territory without permission—what crime do you think you deserve!” An Elder bellowed.

Ye Luo didn’t argue with him. Instead, he raised his Identity Token.

“Look carefully—what’s this? This is an Identity Token. We paid a lot of Crystal Stones to get these Tokens. With them, we can go wherever we want! Where does ‘crime’ come into this?” Ye Luo said calmly.

As soon as he said this, the Elder’s expression turned ugly. Normally, faced with such overwhelming momentum, most cultivators would be at a loss, but Ye Luo not only showed no panic, his thoughts were clear and his reasoning was perfectly orderly.

“No matter what, you’re guilty. Take them down and drag them back!” The Elder roared, cutting off any talk of reason and going straight to grabbing people.

Just then, quite a few cultivators suddenly appeared around them. These cultivators wore strange uniforms, clearly the Guard Squad of the same sect.

“They’re people from Tianyi Sect!” Shadow cried out in surprise.

Tianyi Sect’s cultivators weren’t many, only a few dozen, whereas the Killing Sect had at least over a hundred, and dozens of airborne Demon Beasts besides. With just one clash they could wipe out all these cultivators from Tianyi Sect.

However, Tianyi Sect’s cultivators showed no fear at all.

“This is our Tianyi Sect’s territory. How is this meddling in others’ business? As for you lot, are you trying to start a war between our two sects?” the middle-aged man said icily.

The Elder immediately sneered. “So what if we are? The Killing Sect has long wanted to move against Tianyi Sect. If you want war now, that’s fine by us! Let’s see if Tianyi Sect has the guts for it!”
