Pervert for Life
Chapter 110: boring
The quiet on the couch lasted longer than either of us had managed the day before.
Evelyn stayed seated fully on me, arms loose around my neck, cheek against my shoulder, the leak from the counter already a slow warmth where we were joined. She did not start a grind. I did not thrust up into her. The light crossed the rug in its usual patient way. After a long stretch she spoke without lifting her head, voice low and almost amused.
“Still nothing,” she said. “I’m genuinely impressed with us. Hunger will end it. It always does. Until then we are winning at being bad at projects. If your legs hate this or you need to move, say the word. Don’t turn the nothing into a new kind of rule you suffer under. I fired the tyrant. Don’t appoint yourself.”
“I’m good,” I said. “Legs are fine. Stay.”
“Then we stay.”
We stayed. She clenched once, idle, a small pulse around me that wasn’t a request. I stroked the line of her spine and left my hand at her waist. The finished detective novel sat on the table, ignored. The street outside stayed empty. At some point she shifted just enough to kiss the side of my neck, then settled again. The nothing rebuilt itself around the kiss and continued. Her stomach ended it, a low sound she laughed at against my skin.
“Traitor,” she said, easing off me. The leak followed, shining on her thigh. She ignored it, pulled the open shirt on, and nodded toward the kitchen. “Eggs. Toast. Coffee with the new milk. Five minutes of talk that isn’t about this, if we can manage it. Then whatever. I’m not assigning the after.”
We cooked standing close. She handled the eggs. I handled the toast. The five minutes happened: the neighbor’s dog had barked once at dawn and given up, the toaster still leaned left, she still wanted a book with no sisters in it, mystery or otherwise. I told her tomorrow’s shop run could include looking. She said tomorrow was allowed to have a plan if today didn’t. We ate at the counter. Her foot found my ankle. Ordinary. When the plates were rinsed she dried her hands and checked the light.
“Evening arrived early again,” she said. “My pick, per the trade. Bath, hot, no agenda hiding in the water. Then bed. Sides. Slow until one of us actually sleeps. No counter. No rug. Knees are still filing their complaint. If you want to veto any piece of that, do it now. After I start the tap the pick is locked.”
“No veto.”
“Then good.”
She ran the bath herself. The water came hot. She stepped in first, sat, and waited for me to settle behind her. I washed her shoulders, the back of her neck, her arms, her breasts, the soft skin of her stomach, between her thighs with care where she was still tender from the day. She leaned into it and hummed. Then she turned enough to wash my chest and spent a short, gentle minute on my cock that stayed only a minute. When the heat began to leave the water she stood, droplets running off her, and held out her hand.
“Bed,” she said. “The side version. Kiss me if you want. If I stop kissing back I’m asleep, not bored. Finish or don’t. Both fine. Then we are done inventing the day.”
In the bedroom she lay on her side and guided me in from behind, warm and easy and already slick. I moved in small, slow rocks. She covered my hand on her breast and pushed back to meet the ones she liked. She came once, quiet, a soft clench and a sigh into the pillow. I followed not long after, buried, pulsing into her while she held my hip. She drew my arm tighter around her waist, fitted herself back against me, and was asleep with her mouth parted before the leak had finished. I stayed inside her until I softened and slipped free on my own. The house stayed empty. The trade had been kept. The tyrant remained fired. Morning would bring coffee and another open first decision, and she had already arranged for it not to be hers by default.
She woke in the gray hour before real light, felt me hard against her, and reached back without a word.
Evelyn guided me in. She was wet from sleep and the night’s finish. She rocked with me in tiny motions, one hand over mine on her breast, breathing slow. She came with a small shudder, pussy gripping, then went loose while I came inside her, pulsing, held deep by the angle. After, she spoke into the pillow, voice thick.
“Night’s done,” she said. “No encore. Sleep more if you can. When the light wins, coffee, then you name the first thing. Same trade. I pick the end. Don’t make me stare at you over the cup until you choose. I will. It’s effective and only slightly evil.”
She slept again. I stayed until I slipped free. The house kept its quiet. When the light strengthened she was sitting up, sheet pooled at her waist, watching me with the look of someone whose half of the bargain was already complete.
“Morning,” she said. “Kettle’s about to be loud. First decision is yours. Counter, couch and nothing, bed, shop, whatever you actually want before I pour. Speak.”
I sat up. She didn’t cover the dried shine on her thigh.
“Shop first,” I said. “Milk is fine but I want the book that isn’t a mystery. Then counter, slow. Then nothing on the couch. Evening yours. Trade holds.”
She raised an eyebrow, pleased. “Shop it is. Clothes. Ordinary hour. Then we come back and the slow happens. Get up. I’ll find shoes.”
We dressed. The walk was bright. At the shop she found a paperback with a boat on the cover and no mention of sisters. She bought it, and bread, and didn’t linger. On the way home our arms touched. At the door she unlocked, stepped in, set the book on the table like a promise for later, and turned to the counter.
“Slow,” she said, already bending. “Daylight. Then the nothing. Then my evening. Don’t add steps.”
I stepped in behind her. She was ready. The first stroke sank deep. She sighed, pushed back, and the trade moved forward exactly as named.
The slow at the counter went the way it always did when she asked for it unhurried. Long strokes. Her hand on her clit. Coffee forgotten on the counter behind us. She came once, moaning into her arm, then told me to finish so the nothing could start with her full. I buried and came, pulsing, hands on her hips. She straightened, leak shining, kissed me, and led the way to the couch.
She sank onto me and stopped. Full. Arms around my neck. The nothing began its count again. She clenched idle. I stroked her back. The new book sat on the table, unopened. We lasted until hunger, longer than yesterday. Then eggs, toast, five minutes on the boat book and the dog. After, she checked the light and claimed the evening.
“Bath, bed, sides, sleep,” she said. “No improvements. The book can wait till tomorrow. Today is already complete enough.”
We bathed without agenda. Washed. Kissed once. In the bed she took me from the side, slow rocks, came quiet, let me finish inside her, and slept with my arm around her waist. The house stayed empty. The boat book waited. The trade held. Morning would ask again, and the first word would still be mine.
In the deep part of the night she stirred, felt the dried leak and my hand still on her, and turned into me enough to speak without fully waking.
“You wanted this,” she mumbled, practicing the sentence in her sleep. “So did I. Boat book tomorrow. Not now.”
She settled. I stayed. When morning came she was already in the kitchen, kettle on, the new book on the counter beside the cups like it belonged there. She looked up when I entered, naked, and nodded at the second cup.
“First decision,” she said. “Before coffee cools. Shop is done. What’s the start today? I’m listening. Evening remains mine. Don’t perform the pause. I like the version of you that just says the thing.”
I took the cup. She waited, one hip against the counter, ready for whatever I named, the tyrant still fired, the door closed only because we lived there, the day open exactly as far as the trade allowed.
“Counter, slow,” I said. “Then nothing on the couch with the boat book in your hands if you want it. You can read joined. We did it before. Then evening yours. Same trade.”
“Same trade,” she said. She set her cup down, turned, and put her hands on the counter. “Start the slow. I’ll open the book after, or I won’t. Don’t narrate the possibilities. Just fuck me the way the morning is asking, then we sit in the quiet until it breaks on its own.”
I stepped in. She pushed back onto me, wet and ready, and the daylight slow began again, long and deep, her sigh the only schedule the next hour required.
