Chapter 138: The First Day
Chapter 138: Chapter 138: The First Day
The training continued.
The sun rose higher. The air grew warmer. The dust swirled around their feet. But they kept training. They kept pushing. They kept fighting.
Daniel watched them. His arms were crossed. His expression was calm. His eyes were sharp.
Paul and Cheeky were still sparring.
Paul was fast. He was agile. He moved like the wind. He threw punches. He threw kicks. He threw wind blades.
But Cheeky was learning.
She was slow. She was clumsy. But she was learning. She was reading his movements. She was anticipating his attacks. She was dodging.
"Good," Daniel said. "Better."
Cheeky nodded. She was breathing hard. She was sweating. But she was smiling.
"I’m getting faster," she said.
"You are," Daniel said. "Keep going."
She nodded. She turned back to Paul. She raised her fists.
Paul smiled. "Ready?"
Cheeky nodded. "Ready."
They clashed again.
---
Lyra and Fluffy were still sparring.
Lyra was throwing punches. She was throwing kicks. She was trying to hit Fluffy.
But Fluffy was fast.
She was small. She was quick. She was a shadow. She dodged every attack. She weaved through every strike.
"Good," Daniel said. "Now let her hit you."
Fluffy hesitated. She nodded. She stood still.
Lyra punched her. She stumbled back. She winced.
"Again," Daniel said.
Lyra punched her again. She stumbled again. She winced again.
"Again."
Lyra punched her again. She stumbled again. But this time, she didn’t wince.
"Good," Daniel said. "Again."
Lyra punched her again. She stumbled again. She didn’t wince.
"Good," Daniel said. "You’re learning."
Fluffy smiled. "Fluffy is strong."
"You are," Daniel said. "Keep going."
She nodded. She turned back to Lyra. She raised her fists.
Lyra smiled. "Ready?"
Fluffy nodded. "Ready."
They clashed again.
---
Brick Head and Mittens were still sparring.
Brick Head was throwing punches. He was throwing kicks. He was trying to hit Mittens.
But Mittens was learning.
She was scared. She was nervous. But she was learning. She was dodging. She was weaving. She was surviving.
"Good," Daniel said. "Better."
Mittens nodded. She was breathing hard. She was sweating. But she was smiling.
"I’m getting better," she said.
"You are," Daniel said. "Keep going."
She nodded. She turned back to Brick Head. She raised her fists.
Brick Head grinned. "Ready?"
Mittens nodded. "Ready."
They clashed again.
---
The training continued.
Hours passed. The sun moved across the sky. The shadows shifted. The dust settled.
They kept training. They kept pushing. They kept fighting.
Daniel watched them. He was proud. He was satisfied. He was hopeful.
They were improving. They were getting stronger. They were becoming a team.
He smiled.
"Alright," he said. "Take a break."
They stopped. They collapsed. They were exhausted. They were tired. But they were happy.
Paul sat down. He was breathing hard. He was sweating. He was smiling.
"That was intense," he said.
Cheeky sat beside him. She was breathing hard. She was sweating. She was smiling.
"It was," she said.
Lyra sat down. She was breathing hard. She was sweating. She was smiling.
"I’m tired," she said.
Fluffy sat beside her. She was breathing hard. She was sweating. She was smiling.
"Fluffy is tired too," she said.
Brick Head sat down. He was breathing hard. He was sweating. He was smiling.
"That was fun!" he said.
Mittens sat beside him. She was breathing hard. She was sweating. She was smiling.
"It was," she said.
---
Daniel sat down with them.
He looked at his team. At his family. At his friends.
"You did good," he said.
They looked at him. Their eyes were wide.
"We did?" Paul asked.
"Yes. You did good. All of you."
They smiled. They were proud. They were happy.
"We have a long way to go," Daniel said. "But we’re on the right path."
He paused.
"We’ll get stronger. We’ll reach stage four. We’ll reach stage five. We’ll reach the aura realm."
He paused again.
"And then we’ll stop Lord Ashworth."
They nodded. They were determined. They were ready.
Daniel smiled.
"But first," he said, "we need food."
Fluffy’s ears perked up. Her tail wagged.
"Meat?" she asked.
Daniel laughed. "Yes. Meat."
Fluffy bounced on her heels. "Fluffy loves meat!"
Daniel stood up. He looked around. At the trees. At the grass. At the animals.
"I’ll go hunting," he said. "Paul, you come with me."
Paul blinked. "Why me?"
"Because you’re fast. You can catch things."
Paul sighed. He stood up. "Fine."
Daniel looked at the others. "You stay here. Rest. We’ll be back soon."
They nodded. They were tired. They were happy to rest.
Daniel turned. He walked toward the forest. Paul followed.
---
They walked through the forest.
The trees were tall. The shadows were deep. The air was cool.
Daniel walked in front. His hands were in his pockets. His expression was calm. His eyes were sharp.
Paul walked beside him. His hands were in his pockets. His expression was tired. His eyes were scanning.
"So," Paul said. "What are we hunting?"
Daniel shrugged. "Whatever we can find."
"Like what?"
"Deer. Rabbits. Birds. Anything."
Paul nodded. "Okay."
They walked in silence for a moment.
Then Paul spoke.
"Daniel."
Daniel looked at him. "Yeah?"
"I’ve been meaning to ask you something."
"What?"
"Your class. The Harem Overlord. How does it work?"
Daniel thought about it. "It’s complicated."
"Explain it to me."
Daniel sighed. "Alright. The Harem Overlord is a unique class. It allows me to bond with women. When I bond with them, I gain their class. Their skills. Their equipment. And my stats get multiplied."
Paul blinked. "Multiplied?"
"Yes. By ten."
"By ten?"
"Yes."
"That’s... that’s insane."
"I know."
Paul was silent. He was thinking. He was processing.
"So," he said, "if you bond with a powerful woman, you become more powerful?"
"Yes."
"And if you bond with many powerful women, you become very powerful?"
"Yes."
Paul nodded slowly. "That’s why you want to find strong women."
"Yes."
"Not just for the harem."
"No. For the power."
Paul was silent again. He was thinking. He was processing.
"That’s... that’s actually smart," he said.
Daniel smiled. "I have my moments."
---
They walked for a few more minutes.
Then Daniel stopped.
He saw something. A deer. A large deer. It was grazing in a clearing. It was unaware of them.
Daniel smiled. "There."
Paul nodded. "I see it."
"Can you catch it?"
Paul thought about it. "I can try."
He raised his hand. Wind gathered. A blade formed.
He threw it.
The blade shot forward. It hit the deer. The deer fell. It didn’t move.
Daniel nodded. "Good shot."
Paul smiled. "Thanks."
They walked toward the deer. They picked it up. They carried it back.
---
They returned to the camp.
The others were waiting. They were hungry. They were tired. But they were happy.
Daniel dropped the deer. He looked at the others.
"Who wants to help cook?" he asked.
Fluffy raised her hand. "Fluffy will help!"
Daniel laughed. "Of course you will."
They started cooking. They started eating. They started talking.
The sun was setting. The sky was orange. The stars were appearing.
Daniel looked at his team. At his family. At his friends.
"We did good today," he said. "Tomorrow, we do better."
They nodded. They were determined. They were ready.
Daniel smiled.
"Tomorrow," he said. "We train harder."
[I would advise you to skip the next Chapter...my brother didn’t know what to write so the next Chapter might seem like a rewrite of the last two Chapters]
