His footsteps seemed light and slow as he walked through the different windows divided by light and shadow. Luo Yu occasionally paused, holding his magic wand, standing beside the window, listening to the long orders coming from outside. The stern and taut tone was strained to the point of distortion in the cold weather.

"Raise bows—!"

The commander raised his right hand, and the long Crow Feather cloak gently slid from the silver ash shoulder armor. He held his hand straight, pointing towards the direction of the inn, under his helmet, his gloomy gaze was like two sharp swords. Behind him, the knights were chanting in unison: "Praise Adrian, praise the Lord of Storms!"

The mercenaries reluctantly joined in with a couple of chants, but they didn't care about this cold winter. They didn't care about anything but the blood-stained money falling into their pockets.

Their crossbows rose in unison, cranking the winches, creating a synchronized sound. The mercenaries exhaled white breath that rose and formed a mist of white fog. Behind was a row of crossbow bolts with chilly gleams, each inlaid with a crystal flowing with flame-colored light.

In the hall, adventurers saw this scene and quickly stood up, stepping back in unison. The Crow's Claw knights formed a line, orderly retreating, helping up fallen comrades. Mei held her sword silently, watching these people without hindrance; she was not about to attack those who had lost the ability to resist.

"You'll see, you won't escape..." The Knight Commander leaning on the bar retreated step by step, coughing while lifting his head with a sinister look in this direction, saying, "...Don't forget, we have people at the resurrection altar too."

But Mei just watched him, unmoved, in her clean and clear gaze was not the slightest hint of confusion.

It's as if she never believed, or even considered, the possibility that evil would prevail and righteousness would fail.

She stood here, steadfast in her beliefs, trusting what she trusted, her heart's conviction unwavering.

Even the adventurers were captivated by Miss Mei's resolute stance, some looking in her direction couldn't help but shout: "Miss Mei, charge out, they're going to set fires, we'll fight our way out with you!" Others heard this and turned back, drawing their weapons, ready for action.

But Mei seemed not to hear them, glancing in that direction. Then she lowered her head, gently pressing the communication crystal in her chest with her small hand, where the dark crystal faintly lit up. Miss Knight listened carefully for a moment, then nodded lightly as if no one was around.

Everyone was slightly stunned.

"Fire arrows—!"

Outside the inn, the commander forcefully swung his hand down, shouting the order loudly, his sharp tone resembling the cry of a raven. At that moment, it seemed as if a gust of wind swept through sturdy grass, and the air emitted a wailing sound—mercenaries almost reflexively leaned their heads against the crossbow's stock, half-squinting their eyes, pulling the trigger.

Black arrow shadows suddenly ascended into the air, rushing towards the inn—

Yet in the dim hallway, a young man watched all this calmly, raising his magic wand, gently striking the ground—at the center of that strike, invisible ripples crossed space—instantly generating a hexagonal light wall on the long street.

After the light wall flashed, a thick wind curtain immediately descended from the air, violent currents expanded in all directions, even making the knights in the front lose their footing, let alone the crossbow bolts behind? Crystals shattered in the gusts, turning into clusters of dazzling sparks, blown by chaotic winds into scattered embers.

In the inn, everyone seemed to have been affected by a spell named time, strangely silent for a moment, watching this dramatic scene ahead, those butterfly-like fiery rain pouring down. "Wind, wind wall?" Someone asked aloud.

"Is there an elementalist nearby...?"

The perfect timing of the wind wall clearly left a deep impression on everyone.

Using the right spell at the right time sounds simple, but is not easy. Even the mercenaries momentarily turned their heads, suspiciously looking at the buildings on the left and right streets.

"Where is the opponent...?"

"It's Luo Yu!"

On the second floor, Xiaoxiao emitted a joyful sound.

Elisa glanced at the wavering morale of the enemy's crossbowmen below, suddenly her eyes sparkled, as if perceiving an opportunity. She turned her head slightly, softly speaking to Fang Nini on her shoulder: "Little one, I'll leave you here, keep an eye on this windowsill, don't let anyone come up, okay?"

Nini tilted her head, her round golden eyes staring at her, blinking gently, then seeming to understand, hurriedly nodded vigorously: "Sure, alright."

As if to prove herself, the little girl suddenly jumped down from Elisa's shoulder, in mid-air, a flame blossomed from her heart, transforming into a pair of spread flame wings, the fire feathers instantly interwoven into a cocoon shape. In the next moment, the fire cocoon scattered in pieces, and a graceful maiden was born from it.

She curled her body, flames hanging down from the fire cocoon, transforming into threads of clothing, wrapping her.
