Chapter 565 - 360: The Despairing Divine Servants

"GRIND... GRIND... GRIND..."

Hearing the sound, Levi glanced to the side and found it was Fatir, gritting her teeth.

"It... It actually turned the body of the great Andre Ye Holy Knight into a weapon!" Faced with such a desecration of the remains of a Holy Knight who had entered the Trial World in ages past, the Saintess of the Holy Light Church showed a clear expression for the first time—fury.

"Levi, I sincerely beg you, can you help me recover the bodies of these Holy Knights?" Fatir raised her head, her face etched with a pleading look.

"I won’t say anything right now. Just you watch." Levi’s face was already a mask of frost, and he could feel a vein throbbing violently on his forehead.

The creature actually wanted to make a sword out of him. In this life, this was the first person to utter such a vicious threat against Levi.

"You skulking insect! My name is Lid Kaiya! I was imprisoned in this world thousands of years ago, and I’ll start settling that debt with you!" In the blink of an eye, the Son of Hope appeared before the Lord, a wicked smile on his face as he looked down condescendingly at the two tiny figures before him.

In the distance, the footsteps of the Divine Abomination echoed above the Tower of Sin like the beat of a colossal war drum, signaling the start of battle.

Kemisi and Kemini were so stunned by the rapid turn of events that they collapsed weakly to the ground, their eyes vacant.

The other Divine Servants scrambled to clear the area, giving the two combatants space, then began to clamor for the Son of Hope to quickly kill the two insects who had attracted the Divine Abomination.

To Lid Kaiya, this Holy Knight was no different from the others he had faced before. If he hadn’t been transported to this Magicless World, he could have killed an insect of this level with a single glance.

Fortunately, aside from his exceptional Divine Magic, his physical body had also been tempered to an unimaginable degree, capable of wrestling with a Giant Dragon. Even though some of his physical Power had dissipated from his long slumber—a measure taken to prolong his life—he was confident he could smash the man into meat paste with a single blow.

And so, acting on this thought, he crossed his other arms and, with supreme arrogance, raised the Spine Sword high with just one hand.

SWISH!

The massive Spine Sword descended with a roaring WHOOSH, smashing down toward Levi’s head.

Levi watched with cold eyes. Only at the last moment did he finally draw the Secret Silver Longsword from his waist. His speed was imperceptible, and the movement made not even the slightest sound.

His movements were so serene it was as if he had merely drawn his sword and taken a single step forward. And yet, the arm that was furiously smashing down seemed to strike an invisible blade. In an instant, the wrist was severed. The massive Spine Sword clattered to the side, kicking up a cloud of dust.

"Yeah! Father, teach that damn brute a lesson!" Little Buji poked his tiny head out from the collar of Levi’s open shirt. Seeing this, he felt a great sense of satisfaction and pumped his little fists fiercely.

The surrounding Divine Servants all gaped, their mouths hanging open like dying clownfish.

’How is this possible?!’ Countless questions flashed through the minds of the spectating Divine Servants. The Son of Hope was the hope sent down by the Divine Lord, a hero who would solve all their suffering and lead them to a beautiful new world. He should be invincible, unopposed across the land! Even a Divine Abomination should be crushed by him. But now, he had actually been bested.

The Fallen Divine Servant Lid Kaiya was also stunned. After a brief lapse, he realized he had made a mistake that could cost him his life. A pair of powerful arms had quietly gripped his tiger-like tail from behind. The instantaneously tightening grasp reminded him of the plane-roving Thunder Ice Scorpion, whose pincers could snap an adult Black Dragon in two.

’This mysterious Holy Knight’s Power is even greater than a Giant Dragon’s!’ The thought, one Lid Kaiya refused to believe, had barely formed in his mind when he felt his body go light. He had been grabbed by the tail and was being furiously slammed into the ground.

Before the horrified eyes of the surrounding Divine Servants, the Son of Hope—a massive figure fully eight meters tall—was being grabbed by the tail by a "small" man of only two meters. He was being thrashed against the ground like a kitten, so pathetic and helpless.

ROAR!

Humiliated and unable to bear it any longer, the Son of Hope let out a deafening roar. He swung an arm, severing his own tail. His massive body finally landed on solid ground. Having just regained control of his movement, his remaining seven arms sliced through the air with a whistling WHOOSH, smashing toward the Lord with speed the naked eye could not follow.

In a mere instant, he threw hundreds of punches, each carrying enough force to level a small mountain. The violent gust of wind they generated was strong enough to make the Divine Servants standing a hundred paces away stumble.

This was his body, tempered through a thousand trials. This was a level achieved without the aid of any Elemental Power, something no ordinary human could ever hope to reach.

’This is my true level,’ he thought. ’Just now, I wasn’t even trying!’

"CRACK! CRACK! CRACK..."

Seven crisp, melodic bangs rang out.

As those arms, as sturdy as mountain ridges, made intimate contact with Levi’s slender arms, they instantly vanished into thin air, leaving only layers of blood mist hanging between the two.

"What a waste! You’re not even as good as a Balrog Flame Demon!"

The words ringing in his ears almost made Lid Kaiya cough up blood. But in the next moment, his vision went black. His massive, now headless, body showed no signs of life as it collapsed limply to the ground, kicking up a spray of dust.

Just a moment ago, the surrounding Divine Servants had been viciously urging the Son of Hope to kill these two Human Abominations. But in the blink of an eye, the godlike being they were so proud of, the object of their faith, had died at the hands of the very Human Abominations they cursed. This completely unforeseen development nearly suffocated them.

All the Divine Servants’ bodies began to convulse uncontrollably. Their bodies swelled up like inflated pig bladders. Resentment and hatred pushed their minds to the brink of exploding.

Moreover, the Divine Abomination in the distance was drawing ever closer. Its drum-like footsteps were like heavy hammers pounding on their chests, making it hard to breathe.

With the death of the Son of Hope, the hope of millions of Divine Servants was instantly shattered.

They began to weep, to fall to their knees and pray vacantly to the Divine Lord. The death of the Son of Hope had extinguished their own hope. And the cause of it all was those two Human Abominations. The resentment and hatred of millions surged toward Levi and Fatir.

Kemisi and his sister also felt an instinctual urge to hate Levi, but when they remembered his actions from the past few days, they were thrown into a state of inner turmoil. The little Snake-man girl who had accepted the honey felt the same.

"Levi, I can see it!" Fatir’s voice rang out. "An unimaginable torrent of resentment is swirling around us, and it’s starting to materialize!"

By the end of her sentence, the Saintess’s tone had changed noticeably.

Everyone is born with Spiritual Power, but it’s usually too weak to ever materialize. Only by becoming a Mage, constantly meditating to strengthen one’s Spiritual Power to the Epic Level, can one use it to influence the physical world.

But now, the Spiritual Power of these Divine Servants was actually materializing, fueled by their resentment! And it was creating a massive Telekinesis Field.

It was as if the sun in the sky had been obscured. The surrounding light instantly dimmed, and the flowers, grass, and trees all turned blood-red, as if they had plunged into Hell.

"Levi, the tower is behind this! Destroy it, quickly!" Fatir’s blindfolded eyes suddenly turned toward the towering Tower of Sin as she practically shouted.

Although she didn’t know what use this materialized resentment had, her instincts screamed at her to stop it.

"It’s too late." Levi slowly shook his head. His Spiritual Power was indeed weaker than Fatir’s, and he couldn’t use it to see the world. Thus, he could only rely on his keen five senses to feel that something unseen was gathering around them.

By the time Fatir spoke, he could already see something emerging from the tower.

It was a translucent, giant, stitched-together monstrosity made of twisted human faces. It was wantonly devouring the Divine Servants at the base of the Tower of Sin, growing larger and larger, its consumption speed accelerating.

Inside this monster formed from resentment, the Divine Servants continued to pray and wail, providing it with an unimaginable amount of desperate, negative emotions.
