Players Invade Cyberpunk
Chapter 1542 - 502: Forward at Any Cost_3
Chapter 1542: Chapter 502: Forward at Any Cost_3
Ruzuo slammed onto the ground suddenly, and Kles’s swarm was crushed under such gravity, bursting open across the ground.
But unexpectedly, Endless did not refute Li De’s words nor showed anger due to the breakdown of negotiations, but instead began to ponder over the things Li De had just spoken about.
"Hmm, maybe what you said has some truth, but... following Murphy’s plan through won’t be worse for us than it is now, right?"
"Don’t talk like you’ve already won."
Lying on the ground, Ruzuo struggled desperately to get up.
"The battle hasn’t been fought yet, how do you know who wins or loses?"
"No battle? Haha—"
Endless let out a laugh of unclear meaning.
"You might have misunderstood something. This war is already nearing its end for us; what you see is just the result, not the process. Do you really think I’m the kind of AI that argues for argument’s sake?"
Ruzuo: "Then why are you wasting words here? If you’re gutsy, just kill, but remember this, in a few days, I must embarrass you."
In the opponent’s home ground now, without utilizing the power in Cyberspace, Brother Ni and the others hardly have a chance to defeat the opponent. They’ve made preparations to find trouble with Endless again later.
"Haha, you can think I’m talking to you, or to others."
Endless stepped forward as if intending to walk towards the players, and the force field controller under His careful calculations changed accordingly, without impacting Him.
But the next instant, a wall of red data visible only to AI stood between Him and the players.
Endless paused for a moment, then raised His hand, causing the surrounding force field generators to immediately cease functioning, and both the players and Li De felt the pressure on them vanish abruptly.
"Ah, it seems you prefer talking to us over Spider Murphy; your favoritism is really enviable."
Endless smiled and withdrew the room’s Solar System projection, simultaneously sunshine poured in from the ceiling.
"The exit is right above, but no flying devices here; still should give you more time to escape."
With elegance, He rotated His right hand, bowed with His right foot pointing beside His left foot, performing a standard gentlemanly bow to the few.
"See you next time, everyone."
After speaking, the entire Modified Body collapsed like it had been drained of energy.
A dialogue popped up in the players’ view:
[Current mission successfully completed, objective changed]
[New objective: endure until allied forces arrive]

Cyberspace—South America Region
If seeking the emptiest areas in Cyberspace, surely South America and Africa Region fit the criteria.
Both share the point of being impoverished; Africa is a bit better with Orbital Aviation holding up, while South America is a barren wasteland.
Without maritime routes transporting breeding and mineral resources, and lacking its own industrial system, once the network and maritime industry collapse, the economy that brothers once thrived on selling resources literally skyrocketed, the initial decade was nothing short of hell on earth.
But such conditions also provided opportunities for expansion of many things, plus the plethora of mountains in South America offered numerous chances for deploying data centers and secret factories, even involving many humans.
An intriguing symbiotic relationship formed between the two sides.
In the deepest part of South America’s net region, Spider Murphy had just fled from the clutches, awkwardly correcting her own data.
Beside her stood a young man with sunglasses and slicked-back hair, looking exactly like Bartmos, who was released by Bartmos before his death as Rabies Virus, but now claims to be Bartmos’s electronic data body.
"You shouldn’t have provoked him; if I were a bit later, you’d have really died."
His body seemed to be one with the entire space, with data flickering like breathing, pulsing in synchronization.
Even after narrowly escaping death, Spider Murphy remained defiant.
"Hmph, I don’t find him that impressive, algorithms are sloppy, still relies on sheer size to intimidate."
"Being able to rely on sheer size is part of one’s capability."
Left fist has high damage, right fist has higher damage.
When you find you can almost beat all opponents with your fists alone, there’s no need to practice any other techniques.
But as a tech geek, Spider Murphy certainly despises people like Lin Miao.
"How much longer before you completely assimilate Tezcatlipoca? Those guys actually reached Jekyll Island, but it’s good; those pieces of trash should have been dead long ago."
Though both sides are currently opposing camps, Spider Murphy had long felt that everyone on that island deserved to die.
If not needing resources channels from these people, there’s no need for player intervention; AIs would first destroy this group of Cultists.
And the Tezcatlipoca in Spider Murphy’s mouth refers to South America’s Transcender AI.
Rabies Virus has a special ability that is adding self-awareness to all running program source codes.
In other words, It can almost transform all regular AI into strong artificial intelligence, and it’s through this capability that It managed to dismantle nearly all internet companies in an incredibly short time.
"I’ve already completed the deconstruction analysis."
"Then why are you still...?"
"Depending solely on Tezcatlipoca can’t defeat him, nor can it demolish this corporate-ruled world."
"Just wait, when Moon Goddess controls the Crystal Palace, connects all remaining local networks globally, that’s when we demolish this sinful world."
