Pokémon: My Online Friend Is Cynthia
Chapter 261: Annihilape Makes His Debut!
Chapter 261: Chapter 261: Annihilape Makes His Debut!
Mewtwo truly was not very skilled in close combat, but during his fight with Primeape, he rapidly absorbed battle techniques from him.
He considered himself superior to Mew because his natural power was immense, and that power was still growing.
One of the sources of Mewtwo’s genes was Mew’s eyelash.
But during the process of creating Mewtwo, a large number of genes from outstanding Psychic-type Pokémon had also been absorbed.
After all, the entire plan had never been merely to copy Mew.
It had been to create a Pokémon whose abilities surpassed Mew!
But Mewtwo discovered that even his learning ability could not keep up with the speed at which Primeape’s strength was increasing during battle.
Once again, Mewtwo spun his body and used Iron Tail to block Primeape’s Rage Fist.
Then he flew into the sky, a wary look flashing through his eyes.
Since pure ranged attacks and close combat could not defeat Primeape, then he would try combining both methods of attack!
His Psychic senses spread out, and Mewtwo threw a Shadow Ball towards Primeape.
Primeape did not dodge at all!
He swung his fist and smashed the Shadow Ball apart.
The explosion stirred up smoke, and Mewtwo suddenly charged into it.
His tail lashed out and sent Primeape flying!
Fortunately, Julian had used Aura in time to remind Primeape to defend.
Iron Tail did not deal too much damage to Primeape.
The sixth Rage Fist had already been thrown.
The flames of rage surrounding Primeape had turned completely black.
Next, as long as the seventh punch landed on Mewtwo, Primeape would either undergo transformation or die.
Julian’s gaze turned solemn.
"Primeape!"
Primeape walked out from the smoke and smiled at Julian.
He raised his fist towards the sky.
"Gaga!"
To stop his soul from being forced out of his body by his rage, Primeape had worked hard in training during this period. His understanding of Rage Fist was already deep enough.
Mewtwo was a powerful opponent, and Primeape believed Mewtwo was the most suitable opponent to help him evolve.
Before defeating Mewtwo, he would not die!
Julian took a deep breath.
"Since you’re ready, Primeape, then go!"
Julian released all the Pokémon from his Poké Balls.
"We’ll all cheer you on from the side!"
Seeing Primeape’s condition, everyone knew what Primeape intended to do.
Mewtwo was not Ash’s Charizard, who attacked before the match began.
He waited with surprising manners for Primeape and his companions to finish saying goodbye.
Everyone sent Primeape their blessings.
Feeling the deep bond around him, Primeape’s eyes became firmer than ever before.
Mewtwo simply meditated silently in the air, doing his best to strengthen his power before the decisive battle.
At the same time, he was also thinking about the relationship between Julian and this group of Pokémon.
Seeing all of them send Primeape their blessings together made Mewtwo think deeply.
Why would they do this?
Primeape beckoned, signalling that he was ready.
"Gaga!"
Mewtwo could attack as much as he liked!
His next punch would hurt. He hoped Mewtwo was prepared.
Mewtwo did not care at all.
No matter how strong the power contained in that fist was, if it could not hit, it had no meaning!
Agility!
Mewtwo moved through the air like a phantom, constantly shifting at high speed.
From time to time, he even left behind an afterimage to confuse Primeape.
But Julian’s Aura had locked onto his true body the entire time.
He constantly reminded Primeape to adjust his position and guard against his attacks.
Mewtwo had learned.
He stopped using the highly draining Shadow Ball.
Instead, he used Swift!
Countless stars fell from the sky, and Primeape could not block them all.
But Julian was also constantly summarising the patterns in Mewtwo’s movements, trying to catch his opening.
After Swift, Mewtwo suddenly used Psychic to bind Primeape’s body.
But his surging rage made Primeape struggle continuously.
Finally, with a roar, Primeape broke free from the Psychic.
Compared with the three starters captured by Mewtwo’s dark Poké Balls, Primeape’s fighting strength and willpower were worthy of his appreciation.
But battle was battle. He would not hold back!
He took the initiative and rushed forward, striking towards Primeape with Psycho Cut!
A blue light flashed in Julian’s eyes.
"Now!"
Mewtwo had finally revealed an opening!
Condensing all his Ghost energy, Primeape shot into the sky like a cannonball.
His fist struck Mewtwo in the abdomen, and the tremendous force bent Mewtwo’s body as he was blasted upwards.
Rage Fist, the seventh punch!
After that punch, Primeape dragged a trail of dense black Ghost energy down from the sky and crashed back onto the ground.
The moment his feet touched the arena, his body swayed.
The pitch-black energy around him boiled violently, surging out from his fur like smoke from a furnace. It twisted and writhed, pulling away from him as if it wanted to tear free from his body completely.
Primeape’s knees bent and his fists trembled.
For one terrifying instant, it looked as though the darkness was about to drag something out of him.
His soul.
"Primeape!" Julian shouted in worry.
Primeape gritted his teeth and dug his fingers into the shattered ground.
He would not let go.
Not now.
Not after coming this far.
The black Ghost energy roared around him, but Primeape roared back, forcing his shaking body upright inch by inch.
Bit by bit, he dragged the escaping energy back into himself.
Not just the energy.
He was dragging his own soul back too.
His eyes burned red beneath the darkness. His breathing grew rougher and heavier, but his fist slowly rose.
Julian clenched his own fist, excitement surging through him.
"Primeape, you did it!"
Primeape raised his fist higher.
Everyone, I’m back!
In an instant, dazzling evolutionary light burst from Primeape’s body.
Mewtwo condensed a huge Shadow Ball in his hand.
Seeing the light of evolution, he took the initiative to stop his attack.
Mewtwo really did have manners.
The light dispersed, and a Pokémon about twenty to thirty centimetres taller than Primeape appeared.
His whole body was grey-black, with only the front half of his hair white.
The white hair whipped chaotically through the air, making him look like a Super Saiyan.
The monkey opened his eyes, revealing crimson pupils.
Perhaps because of the contrast with the surrounding grey-black fur, Annihilape’s pig-like nose looked even pinker.
Annihilape had made his debut!
Ash’s eyes widened in surprise.
"Primeape can evolve?"
If he went to get back that Primeape competing in the P1 Grand Prix now, was it still in time?
Annihilape roared excitedly.
Now he could finally release his rage to his heart’s content!
Black flames surged upwards, blowing Annihilape’s hair around.
His presence swelled. Primeape’s natural rage amplification had not merged completely with Rage Fist because of evolution.
The rage still existed!
Because of his evolution, that rage amplification could now expand almost without limit.
The height of Annihilape’s spirit determined the height of his power!
Rage Fist!
Annihilape shot into the sky. His body was far lighter than before evolution.
He was so fast that even Mewtwo almost failed to react.
Cynthia was somewhat surprised.
"After evolving, Annihilape’s power actually reached this level. It has already surpassed Garchomp."
Julian shook his head.
"This is the power of rage and Rage Fist both pushed to the extreme. Normally, Annihilape doesn’t possess strength this overwhelming."
Mewtwo had still underestimated Primeape too much, failing to take a Fighting-type Pokémon seriously.
Mewtwo activated his body with Psychic power to the greatest possible extent, displaying astonishing agility as he bent his body and avoided Annihilape’s punch.
Julian nodded.
"As expected. His power has risen too much, and Annihilape can’t control it well. That gave Mewtwo the chance to dodge."
Cynthia nodded in agreement.
Mewtwo’s own potential had also been dug up by this battle. Violent Psychic energy pushed Annihilape’s body and slammed him straight into the ground.
A large part of the arena caved in, forming a huge crater.
The pitch-black rage dissipated.
To pull his soul back into his body, Annihilape had exhausted too much energy.
Mewtwo swayed his tail.
"You are the strongest Primeape I have ever seen. You are worthy of having a clone."
Mewtwo condensed a dark Poké Ball.
Julian surged forward with Aura and stepped up, grabbing the dark Poké Ball in one hand.
"Mewtwo, don’t you understand yet?"
He responded coldly, "The one who is strong is Primeape, not humans!"
Julian directly crushed the dark Poké Ball.
"In that case, let me show you just how powerful humans can be!"
