Pokémon: My Parallel World Daughters Revealed
Chapter 327: Do You Ever Get Tired of Glazing Him?
[VIP Chat Group]
[Bill]: ??? That’s it?! It actually caught itself?! Mew! You’re a Mythical Pokémon! Where’s your dignity?! Your pride?! You actually sold yourself out for one box of Poké Puffs?!
[Wallace]: Sure enough, no matter how powerful a Legendary or Mythical Pokémon is, the moment it meets one of Asher’s daughters, it practically gives itself away. This time Mew didn’t even bother pretending. It just walked straight into the Master Ball by itself.
[Skyla]: Mew: Master. Free food. Understand?
[Flint]: Mew is the textbook definition of "I don’t want to work hard anymore."
[Bea]: ...I used to think Legendary Pokémon would all be much more aloof. Then I watched this livestream.
[Professor Juniper]: At this point, you really do have to believe in fate. The attraction Asher’s family seems to have toward Legendary and Mythical Pokémon is genuinely incomprehensible.
[Lorelei]: What I’m more concerned about is why Aurelia had a Master Ball in her bag in the first place. And apparently more than one.
[Gary]:@Asher, explain yourself. Do you buy Master Balls wholesale or something?
[Asher]: How would I know? Maybe a friend gave them to her.
[Raihan]: What kind of friend gives away that many Master Balls? I want one too.
[Steven]: Maybe I gave them to her. My memory isn’t very good. I’ve given away so many things that even I can’t remember them all anymore.
[Wallace]: So now you’re not just glazing him—you’ve started covering for him too?
[Volkner]:@Steven, do you ever get tired of glazing him?
The scene changed again.
Saffron Gym.
Training hall.
Aurelia and Selene stood on opposite sides of the training area.
Their respective Kirlia stood beside them.
Sabrina stood in the center with her arms folded, her long hair moving despite the complete lack of wind.
"Today, we’ll be practicing psychic control."
"Use your psychic power to keep your respective water balloons suspended above your heads."
"They cannot fall or burst."
"The first one to reach ten minutes gets to rest."
Aurelia nodded.
She closed her eyes.
A water balloon rose into the air and hovered steadily above her head.
Not even the surface of the water rippled.
Selene chuckled.
She casually pointed upward.
Her own balloon floated into the air—
Pop!
And immediately burst all over her face.
"Selene."
Sabrina’s voice remained calm.
"Focus."
"That’s not my fault!"
Selene wiped water from her face.
"That balloon was too weak! It couldn’t withstand my psychic power!"
Sabrina said nothing.
She simply formed another water balloon—
Three times larger than the previous one.
It floated directly above Selene’s head.
"If this one bursts too, you’ll train for an additional three hours today."
Selene: "..."
By the time training ended—
Selene lay sprawled across the floor.
Her hair was so soaked that it looked like someone could wring half a bucket of water out of it.
Aurelia hadn’t gotten a single drop on herself.
She was calmly drinking milk.
Asher wandered in through the doorway carrying a grilled sausage in each hand.
He handed one to each daughter.
"Here."
"Have a sausage."
"Thank you, Dad."
Aurelia’s eyes brightened slightly as she accepted hers.
Selene rubbed her hands together.
"Um... Dad?"
"Do you have any lollipops or chocolate?"
"Stop eating so many snacks."
Asher shoved the sausage directly into Selene’s mouth.
"Look at your sister."
"Now look at yourself."
"Did you use psychic power to hide your height or something?"
"Dad!"
Selene chewed indignantly.
"How can you say that?!"
"I’m concentrated essence!"
"You’re underdeveloped."
Asher patted Selene’s soaking-wet head.
"You need to eat more meat if you want to grow taller, understand?"
"Dad, I’m not short!"
"I just used all my height to grow my brain instead!"
"Sure, sure."
Asher responded perfunctorily while pulling a strawberry lollipop from his pocket and handing it to her.
"You’re the smartest person in the whole family."
"Happy now?"
"Hehe!"
"Dad is the best!"
Selene happily pocketed the lollipop.
"Oh, right, Dad."
"Big Sis has Mew now."
"Can you get me a Legendary Pokémon too?"
"That’s not impossible."
Asher reached over and ruffled her hair.
"How about this?"
"In a couple of days, I’ll take you somewhere."
"Whether you can actually catch one will depend on whether you have the right fate with it."
"Fate?!"
Selene slapped a hand against her chest.
"I’m amazing at creating fate!"
"Don’t worry, Dad!"
"As long as I get the chance to meet a Legendary Pokémon, I’ll definitely find a way to abduct it back home!"
"It’s called catching it."
Aurelia couldn’t help correcting her.
"Not abducting it."
"Same difference!"
The scene shifted—
Two days later.
Above New Island.
Steven leaned halfway out of the helicopter cockpit with a pair of binoculars pressed against his face.
"Brother Asher, I’ve been keeping an eye on the island lately."
"More and more Team Rocket members have been arriving over the past few days."
"I’d say their experiment is almost complete."
"Then we’ll have to hurry."
Asher sat at the very back of the cabin, holding a thermos he’d brought from home.
"Otherwise, once Mewtwo wakes up, this entire island might disappear with it."
"That’s true and all..."
Steven turned around.
"But did you really need to bring the whole family?"
"There’s only one Mewtwo. Is there enough to go around?"
He looked toward the packed row of people inside the cabin.
Sabrina sat between Aurelia and Selene.
Her black hair rested over her shoulders, and her eyes were closed expressionlessly as though she were sensing something with her psychic power.
Aurelia held her golden Kirlia in her arms while repeatedly checking the Poké Balls she had brought with her.
Selene, meanwhile, was pressed against the window.
The sea wind had blown her silver-white curls into what looked like an exploded ball of cotton candy.
Asher screwed the lid back onto his thermos.
"Mewtwo has its own consciousness."
"Naturally, it’ll decide for itself who it wants to go with."
"That’ll depend on fate."
"All right."
Sabrina opened her eyes.
A faint blue light flashed through her red pupils.
"I’ve already mapped out the patrol routes inside using my psychic power."
"Once you land, turn left."
"At the third intersection, turn right."
"Then continue straight ahead."
"You’ll see a freight elevator going upward."
"That elevator leads directly to the laboratory."
"Mom is amazing!"
Selene’s eyes sparkled.
Sabrina then reached over and straightened Aurelia’s bangs.
"You’re more reliable than your sister."
"Remember to keep an eye on her."
"Mom!"
Selene immediately jumped up in protest.
"Is your opinion of me really that low?!"
Asher pulled two Poké Balls from inside his coat and handed one to each daughter.
"Keep these safe."
"They’re for self-defense."
"Don’t use them casually."
The instant Selene saw the Poké Ball, her eyes practically turned into stars.
"Dad, what’s inside?"
"Something good."
Asher rubbed her head.
"Just don’t use it unless you really need to."
"Got it!"
Selene immediately stuffed the Poké Ball into her pocket, grinning like a little mouse that had just stolen the oil.
Aurelia, on the other hand, secured hers inside a concealed compartment at her waist and nodded toward Asher.
"All right."
"Get going."
Asher waved them off.
"And remember—catching a Legendary Pokémon is about fate."
"Don’t immediately throw a Master Ball the moment you see it."
"That makes us look insincere, understand?"
"Understood!"
"Good."
"Go."
Aurelia and Selene simultaneously wrapped themselves in psychic power.
Like two blue meteors they shot toward New Island.
