Pokémon: My Parallel World Daughters Revealed

Chapter 348: I, Aurelia, Was Livestreamed Into Godhood by My Little Sister

  • Next Chapter

The scene changed again.

On opposite sides of the Cinnabar Gym battlefield stood Blaine and Aurelia.

Blaine stared at the Ninetales beside Aurelia.

Nine tails intertwined with gold and crimson.

Sacred flames continuously drifted from its body.

His mouth hung open for several seconds.

"I asked you to find Vulpix."

"I didn’t tell you to go and catch it!"

"Sorry, Grandpa Blaine. It insisted on—"

"And just because it insisted, you caught it?"

Blaine waved a hand.

"Forget it, forget it."

"I was planning to battle you anyway."

"This is perfect. Let’s see what’s so special about this Ninetales."

He raised a hand and threw out a Poké Ball.

Red light erupted and Moltres burst forth with a powerful beat of its wings.

Orange-red flames instantly flooded half the battlefield, heating the air until it visibly warped.

Ninetales refused to be outdone.

Its nine tails swept outward.

Gold-and-crimson flames erupted from their tips and gathered overhead—

Forming an enormous phantom of Ho-Oh.

The flames of the two Fire-type Pokémon collided in midair.

The entire Gym suddenly felt as though it had been shoved inside an oven.

Blaine’s eyes instantly lit up.

"Oh?"

"This is..."

"Interesting!"

"Moltres, Air Slash!"

Moltres beat its wings.

More than a dozen white blades of compressed air tore through the battlefield toward Ninetales.

Aurelia raised her right hand.

"Ninetales, Extrasensory."

Blue light flashed in Ninetales’s eyes.

A psychic barrier unfolded before it.

The Air Slashes struck the barrier and instantly shattered into countless white fragments.

Instead of being discouraged, Blaine became even more excited.

He immediately commanded Moltres to use its finishing move.

"Sky Attack!"

Blue-white flames erupted across Moltres’s entire body.

Its wings spread wide and it plunged straight toward Ninetales like a burning meteor.

The air tore apart with a piercing boom.

The temperature throughout the Gym shot upward by dozens of degrees in an instant.

Aurelia’s hair whipped backward in the violent air currents.

Her voice, however, remained perfectly steady.

"Ninetales."

"Sacred Fire."

The phantom Ho-Oh spread its wings.

Golden flames poured down like a waterfall and collided head-on with Moltres’s blazing charge.

The instant the two forces met—the outcome was already decided.

Before Sacred Fire, Moltres’s brilliant charge was like a candle tossed into the mouth of a volcano.

It didn’t even have the chance to resist.

Sacred Fire tore straight across the entire battlefield.

The golden flames took the shape of Ho-Oh spreading its wings and swallowed Moltres whole.

Blaine’s sunglasses slid halfway down his nose.

"So this..."

"Is Ho-Oh’s flame..."

The golden fire remained wrapped around Moltres for less than three seconds.

Then Moltres, still glowing gold, plummeted out of the air.

It rolled across the ground three times and lay there without moving.

"Moltres is unable to battle!"

"Ninetales wins!"

[VIP Chat Group]

[Lt. Surge]: Moltres is still a Legendary Pokémon, and it just got one-shot by a Ninetales. I couldn’t even dream up something like this.

[Flannery]: The problem is, that’s not an ordinary Ninetales. That’s a Ninetales capable of manifesting Ho-Oh itself.

[Malva]: Mm. Ho-Oh stands near the very pinnacle of Fire-type Pokémon. Moltres being overwhelmed by its flames isn’t that surprising.

[Gary]: So after Ninetales swallowed Ho-Oh’s feather, it didn’t just evolve—it directly inherited part of Ho-Oh’s power too? Does that make any sense?

[Lance]: Ho-Oh’s feather is indeed a sacred object for Fire-type Pokémon. But for it to awaken power to this extent, that also means this Ninetales possessed extraordinary potential to begin with.

The video continued playing.

Blaine removed his sunglasses and wiped them clean.

After putting them back on—

He burst into hearty laughter.

"Hahahaha!"

"Good!"

"That was a great battle!"

"It’s been years since anyone gave me a fight that satisfying!"

He reached into his pocket, pulled out the Volcano Badge, and tossed it toward Aurelia.

Aurelia caught the Badge in both hands and gave him a small bow.

"Thank you, Grandpa Blaine."

"What are you thanking me for?"

"No need."

Blaine suddenly grinned.

"It’s just..."

"Could you leave Ninetales here for a few days so I can study it?"

Ninetales elegantly swished its nine tails.

Then it took one step backward behind Aurelia.

Its eyes clearly said: Don’t even think about it, old man.

Aurelia glanced back at Ninetales.

"Um..."

"Grandpa Blaine, I don’t think it wants to."

"I understand, I understand!"

"Then exchanging contact information should be fine, right?"

"Later, if it ever lays an Egg—"

"Goodbye, Grandpa Blaine."

Aurelia turned around and walked away without another glance.

Her steps were swift and decisive.

However—

The instant Aurelia reached the Gym entrance, the enormous lens of a livestream drone suddenly shoved itself directly into her face.

"BIG SIS!"

"You got the Volcano Badge, right?!"

"Quick! Give the camera a V-sign!"

"Big Sis, don’t just stand there!"

"Give us a V-sign!"

"Ciallo works too!"

"Ciallo~ (∠?ω< )⌒★"

Selene’s voice blasted from the drone’s speaker at maximum volume.

Without expression, Aurelia raised one hand and pushed the camera half a meter to the side.

"No."

"Big Sis..."

"Could it be that you’ve grown ashamed of me?"

Selene suddenly dragged out her words.

Her energetic-girl tone instantly transformed into pitiful melodrama.

"Could it be that my humble little livestream has brought shame upon my dear elder sister...?"

"If that is truly how Sister feels, then perhaps this is all my fault..."

"After all, Sister refuses to show even the slightest consideration for me."

"Very well."

"I suppose I shall simply shut down the entire Sun-Moon Group."

"What use is keeping it, when I cannot receive even the tiniest bit of support from my beloved sister...?"

Aurelia sighed.

She felt that half the sighs she’d released in her entire life had probably been dedicated to Selene.

In the end she raised one hand.

Facing the camera with a completely expressionless face—

She made a V-sign.

The comments instantly flooded the screen.

"Ciallo~ (∠?ω< )⌒★"

"Ciallo~ (∠?ω< )⌒★"

"LADY AURELIA MADE A V-SIGN! MY LIFE IS COMPLETE!"

"WHO TOOK A SCREENSHOT?! I’LL PAY ONE HUNDRED THOUSAND LEAGUE COINS!"

"ONE HUNDRED THOUSAND? I’LL PAY ONE MILLION!"

Selene glanced at the comments.

The stars in her eyes practically overflowed.

"Big Sis, look!"

"The audience response is incredible!"

"We’ve already passed three million concurrent viewers!"

"I’ve decided!"

"The next program is going to be called—I, Aurelia, Was Livestreamed Into Godhood by My Little Sister!"

"..."

Aurelia remained silent for one second.

Then—

She teleported away on the spot.

"BIG SIS!!"

"LET ME FINISH!"

"THE TITLE ISN’T EVEN FINALIZED YET!"

"I’VE GOT BACKUP OPTIONS TOO!"

"My Big Sister Could’ve Made It on Cuteness Alone, So Why Does She Insist on Relying on Strength?!"

"BIG SIS!!!"

The comments had already dissolved into laughter.

"CEO Selene’s naming skills belong in the light-novel industry."

"I’ve got one too: I, Selene, Continue Livestreaming Strongly After Being Abandoned by My Big Sister. How’s that?"

"Still not as good as What Do I Do When My Big Sister Is Way Too Serious?"

Selene turned the drone’s camera toward herself.

With her other hand—

She gave the camera a wink.

"All right, all right!"

"That’s it for today’s livestream!"

"Starting tomorrow, I’ll be continuously following my beloved big sister throughout her entire journey challenging the Pokémon League!"

"And the new show will be called—Where in the World Is Big Sis?"

"If you’re interested, make sure to keep following us!"

"Ciallo~ (∠?ω< )⌒★"
