Pokemon: My Trainer Simulator
Chapter 1135 - 675: Giant Dragon and Ice
Chapter 1135: Chapter 675: Giant Dragon and Ice
Over the past decade, the Champion Alliance Open has been without a single win.
Something’s not right.
Is the gap really that obvious?
Baimu recalled the combat strength that Bonnie’s Pokémon displayed previously.
The difference in main Pokémon is a factual existence.
After all, the dragon Pokémon in Genji’s hands have been with him for decades, possessing a body hardened through years of accumulation and training.
It’s hard to say how many ice beams they can withstand; it surely won’t be like in the game where they get knocked out after one hit.
In contrast, the ice attribute itself is quite peculiar.
When used as an attribute to blindside foes and bolster attack surface, its advantages are matched by very few; yet, as an inherent attribute, it becomes a debuff due to its many weaknesses that are popular among contenders.
Recalling the battle between Bonnie and Huayue, the Abomasnow without the Aurora Curtain can only be reduced to a tool for setting snowy weather, unable even to perform healing moves.
Walrein, if not for its water attribute and the Thick Fat ability it possesses for defense, would likely not be able to endure for long.
Mega Glalie was even forced to use Big Explosion to exchange pieces with Huayue.
Advantage in attributes, but alas overall at a disadvantage...
Baimu quietly watched Bonnie, anticipating the next match.
In a short while.
Once the referee declared the match officially underway.
Bonnie and Genji each released their starting Pokémon.
On one side was the ghost-like, airborne Froslass, and on the other was the slender, verdant Mature Dragon Flygon, a real workhorse in Genji’s team.
It’s always chosen to appear.
The first command on both sides was remarkably similar—
Weather skill confrontation.
Hail and sandstorm continuously impacted each other, with a subtle merging tendency, yet quickly dispersing as if some mysterious force was repelling them.
Soon, the two weather phenomena reached a stalemate near the center of the field, with neither side able to suppress the other.
This clearly couldn’t satisfy the trainers on both sides.
Thus, they ordered simultaneously, having Flygon intensify the sandstorm with Quicksand Hell, and Froslass blowing Frozen Wind to create a heavy snow vortex.
The two originally intended to cause sustained damage instantly became inoffensive.
This time.
There was no more stalemate.
Neither side’s weather secured victory, as in a fierce explosion, hail and sandstorm alike began exiting, unable to achieve a slow formation of quicksand and large hail like natural weather due to the Pokémon’s attribute energy.
They would only vanish before undergoing a reaction.
The Froslass promptly cast the precious Divine Skill for ice attribute—Aurora Curtain, before the hail completely faded.
Bonnie then opted for a swap, while Genji continued with the sandstorm.
The Old Celestial King’s tactic closely followed the saying—"It doesn’t matter how old the strategy is, as long as it works."
A unique move to dominate the scene.
Flygon’s Tornadus indeed possessed its unique superiority, like isolating Pokémon from trainers, preventing normal communication.
Bonnie’s second Pokémon, Walrein.
It appears the Aurora Curtain was prepared just for it, though Baimu was really curious how it planned to hit the Flygon moving with Lightning Flash next?
Their movement abilities differed significantly.
Predictably.
The massive and alarming Tornadus ultimately formed, albeit its wind force being overshadowed by the heavyweight Walrein, weighing one-third of a ton.
Even as it foolishly rushed into the sand, Tornadus could only inflict damage.
It’s basically impossible to perform strong control like sweeping away the Death God Coffin.
Meanwhile, as Flygon used Lightning Flash, Bonnie offered a rather uncanny solution—
[Imitation].
The hefty Walrein astonishingly transformed into white light in pursuit of Flygon, compelling it to ascend the heights to escape.
"Roar!"
It raised its head at the timid opponent, deciding to let them experience the terror of ice attribute’s offense.
First came a fist-sized small ice ball.
Formed by Walrein and launched skyward with its strong tail, its momentum easily disregarded the swirling Tornadus.
Flygon swiftly dodged, subsequently noticing a basketball-sized second ice ball, followed by a giant ice ball the size of half of Walrein’s body.
Essentially a contact-type move, the ice ball for Bonnie became akin to a projectile move.
This method of using Walrein’s ice balls reminded Baimu of Milok and Adam, who also trained Walrein.
An inherited technique?
It’s hard to conclude.
Only Bonnie’s Walrein’s immense strength was certain, lifting an ultra-large ice ball at least three times its size with its nose, then launching it in a parabolic trajectory skyward with its tail.
What monstrous power!
Plus that nose-expanding move, making Baimu doubt Walrein’s nose had evolved from Sealeo’s normal nose into a pig nose due to ice ball damage.
On the other hand.
Though the ultra-large ice ball did not ascend high, it shattered halfway, its countless ice shards successfully dissipating most of Tornadus and inflicting substantial trouble on Flygon.
The fully visible scene made the spectators gasp in amazement.
Bonnie suppressing Genji?
Not that easy!
Failing to showcase previous skills, Flygon swiftly altered its strategy, employing Rockslide to counterattack, giant boulders in no way inferior to the ice balls Walrein had launched.
Moreover.
[Sharp Stone Attack] was also included in Flygon’s repertoire, the hexagon stats monster shedding tactical disguise and relying on sheer chain attacks to trouble Walrein considerably.
