Pokemon: My Trainer Simulator
Chapter 1241: Samsara of Life and Death
Ah!?
Baimu and Furong were stunned.
Just half an hour ago, they confirmed Long He’s passing and thought Banette couldn’t accept the trainer’s death and claimed he wasn’t dead.
And now suddenly there’s talk of a Pokémon promising to save Long He?
Is this a joke or what!
“Who?” Baimu asked, looking up.
Though Long He was indeed blown to smithereens, there are always some Legendary Pokémon that defy logic.
Examples of revival from death are not uncommon.
For instance, the protagonist Ash Ketchum was several times near death but survived, in the movie “Mewtwo Strikes Back” he was petrified from the clash between Mew and Mewtwo, luckily, he was revived by the sincere tears of Pokémon;
And in the movie “I Choose You,” he was mysteriously revived after being overwhelmed by numerous wild Pokémon, even the Ho-Oh wasn’t present at the time, and its feather turned to ashes after Ash’s death.
Long He’s sacrifice moved a special Pokémon, giving him a chance at life — this logic is quite coherent.
But which “immortal” acted?
Baimu couldn’t imagine who would emerge in the barren Ore Region.
“I don’t know.”
Banette’s words made his raised eyebrows quickly drop, “I don’t recognize that Pokémon, it came from the Spirit Realm.”
Wait!
A Pokémon from the Spirit Realm says it can revive Long He?
Baimu opened his mouth, looking at Furong beside him, whose expression indeed grew serious.
The Spirit Realm is a place where souls reside, it’s said to have no life within, can a Pokémon from there really revive a dead person?
Believe it or not, it’s possible.
Only usually in stories this kind of resurrection method is inevitably sinister.
Baimu couldn’t be sure so he wanted to consult Spirit Realm expert Furong, seeing her expression now, he knew she probably thought similar to him.
“What method did it teach you?” Furong asked eagerly.
Banette glanced at her, then said to Baimu, “Lend me Hoopa’s Light Wheel, you want to find your grandfather too, right?”
“You first tell us what method it taught you, and also which Pokémon exactly taught you.”
Baimu forcefully redirected Banette’s attempted topic change, even threatening, “Otherwise I’ll leave here and go find grandfather.”
“You!!”
Banette’s blood-red eyes widened, and it didn’t speak for a while.
Probably cursing inwardly.
Waited a long time.
It finally communicated telepathically, “I can only tell you what it looks like, bring your grandfather, then I’ll tell you the method.”
Baimu sensed it was sneaking glances at Furong, was it wary?
He was about to speak when suddenly his elbow was nudged, followed by a sliding motion.
“Alright.”
Baimu then agreed, lowered his head to find the notebook from Altered-color Gengar, and quietly exchanged a glance with Furong standing beside him.
Hold tight for now?
He reached into Gengar’s belly to pull out a sketchbook and pen, ready to determine what kind of Pokémon it was based on Banette’s depiction of its traits.
“Is it bipedal like us, or quadrupedal?”
“Two legs, looks similar to a human child.”
“…What color?”
“Gray.”
“Does it have smoke drifting above its head, curved horns on both sides, and candle-red eyes?” Baimu almost knew which Pokémon it was.
It was… Unexpected yet reasonable.
Banette asked, “You recognize it?”
“I know the type of Pokémon it is, not recognizing it personally.” Baimu understood Banette’s meaning, quickly sketched and showed it to Banette, “Is this it?”
The sketchbook features a figure wreathed in smoke, like a ghostly little figure.
“Yes, that’s it.”
Banette replied.
Baimu handed the sketchbook to the expectant Furong, she complimented first seeing it, “Baimu’s sketching is impressive, but I don’t recognize this Pokémon…”
She shook her head.
Gengar eagerly took the sketchbook from her hand, its comical big face squeezed together with Hoopa and Dusknoir, Dragapult quietly looked over from behind.
“Gengaa?”
“Hoopa hasn’t seen it either.”
“If I remember correctly, this is a type of Mythical Pokémon called Marshadow, it usually resides in shadows and rarely appears, thus viewed as a timid and weak Pokémon.”
Baimu recited everything he knew about Marshadow.
Furong nodded slightly but then frowned again, asking, “Marshadow possesses the power to resurrect humans?”
“Probably not…”
Baimu shook his head yet thought that Marshadow lacks it but its elder does.
Who’s its elder?
The Legendary Pokémon associated with the filming camera, which appeared for less than five minutes in twenty years in the only movie featuring it, the Bell Tower Master— Ho-Oh!
This Legendary Pokémon that once saved Ho-Oh Guard Entei, Suicune, and Lei Gong could with a mere feather revive the obliterated Ash, illustrating its Mighty Power.
However, Marshadow and Ho-Oh belong to parallel universes in different adventures of Ash’s stories.
The animated version of Marshadow only appeared briefly in Alola, maybe it’s not aligned with the movie version of Marshadow… Wait, it even came to tell Banette it could save Long He, it absolutely relates to Ho-Oh!
Another multiple Legendary Pokémon existence?
“I’ll ask my grandma if she recognizes it.” Furong took out her phone to contact her grandmother, suddenly realized there’s no signal in the gap, and had to desist temporarily.
Above, Banette urged, “You already know who it is, use the Light Wheel quickly!”
