Pokémon: Starting From Zero as a Legendary Pokémon
Chapter 212: A Hypothesis About the Demon King Form
“This idea is quite good.”
Cynthia trusted Sora. She believed he wouldn’t recklessly do anything dangerous.
Besides, Cynthia had already experienced the power of Demonization firsthand.
After a full day of arduous training, Garchomp’s progress had advanced rapidly, already reaching one-third completion.
It was precisely that one-third that allowed Cynthia to glimpse the possibility of Garchomp’s transformation.
The Level 90 barrier that had originally restrained Garchomp was beginning to loosen.
She had a premonition.
By the time this journey ended, once Garchomp successfully completed its Demonization training, it would officially step into the divine realm and undergo a fundamental transformation of its life level!
And all of this was thanks to Sora’s help.
I’ve already received so many favors from him. How am I ever supposed to repay him?
The only answer Cynthia could think of was…
Give myself to him?
Just imagining it made Cynthia’s face flush and her heart race.
“Let’s talk about the next stage of Demonization.”
Cynthia forcibly suppressed the little fantasy playing out in her head and shifted her attention back to Sora’s research, wanting to hear his next idea.
“We’ve already succeeded with liquid energy.”
“The next step is naturally solid energy.”
That’s right.
Sora’s target was the potential of solid-state energy.
Solid-state energy was precisely the power behind Eternamaxing.
And that was Eternatus’s exclusive power.
Since Sora had never actually seen it, even Victini couldn’t reproduce it.
Of course, Sora felt that Victini should still be able to create Dynamax Energy without the divine nature contained within it.
After all, his Vee was invincible.
When it came to being a walking cheat code, Victini was still number one.
“My idea is to achieve true gigantification.”
Sora continued, “You should know, Cynthia, that the essence of Dynamaxing is spatial distortion. A Pokémon itself doesn’t actually become larger.”
“Mm, I know.”
Otherwise, if a Pokémon’s size truly increased by dozens of times, the resulting increase in power couldn’t possibly be a mere 50%.
Ordinary Dynamaxing was an illusion.
It relied on distortions of light and space to make people perceive the Pokémon as having become enormous.
“But I think Dynamaxing should be capable of producing genuine enlargement.”
This conclusion came from Sora’s observations of Eternatus.
Eternatus’s Eternamax form wasn’t an illusion.
It possessed a genuine physical body.
It was, in the truest sense, Heaven and Earth in One.
Yes.
Law of Heaven and Earth.
That was the only phrase Sora could think of to describe the shock brought about by Eternamaxing.
And his goal was to research solid-state energy—the power of Eternamaxing—and allow his Pokémon to acquire a similar ability to embody Heaven and Earth.
“Physical gigantification?”
This time, Cynthia was genuinely stunned.
If such a thing could be achieved, she didn’t even dare imagine how powerful Pokémon would become.
“It’s only a theory for now.”
Sora shook his head.
“We don’t know whether it’s actually possible.”
“Then, would this power still be called Demonization?”
“Mm…”
Sora thought for a moment.
“I think it might be better called Demon King Transformation.”
“Demonization uses liquid energy to allow Pokémon to truly fuse with Gigantamax Energy, permanently strengthening their foundation and increasing their HP and MP.”
“Demon King Transformation, on the other hand, wouldn’t provide any enhancement in their normal state.”
“But once this power was activated, the Pokémon would become gigantic.”
“Their speed would remain unchanged, while their strength and mass would increase by dozens, or even hundreds, of times.”
It was no exaggeration to say that the Demon King Form could completely overturn the current Trainer world’s understanding of power.
“The only question is, what are the prerequisites for Demon King Transformation?”
Sora had a feeling that not every Pokémon would be capable of attempting it.
And this had nothing to do with their level.
It was purely a matter of whether they possessed the necessary qualifications.
According to my theory, Calyrex should definitely have the potential for Demon King Transformation.
Its King’s Power was on the same level as Dynamax Energy, with the two forces fundamentally opposed to each other.
That gave Sora tremendous confidence in Calyrex’s future.
As for Ogerpon, Magearna, and the others…
Honestly, Sora didn’t think these children would be able to achieve Demon King Transformation.
How should he put it?
It was a matter of compatibility.
Ogerpon’s path should be Terastallization.
Magearna should focus on digging deeper into the XYZ Factor.
Volcanion should pursue an elemental transformation.
Each of them had their own path to walk.
There was no need to force them onto Calyrex’s path.
Being able to obtain Demonization was already enough.
Demon King Transformation might be something only Calyrex could achieve—a unique path belonging to it alone.
Of course, considering that Calyrex’s King’s Power would grow stronger alongside its own strength, it might not be impossible in the future for Calyrex to bestow King’s Power upon other Legendary Pokémon and let them attempt Demon King Transformation as well.
But that’s still too far away.
Sora couldn’t see that far into the future.
For now, his priority was still to let his Pokémon master Demonization as quickly as possible and obtain the permanent enhancement to their physical foundations brought about by liquid Dynamax Energy.
On the third day after leaving Postwick, Sora and the others entered the Wild Area.
The Wild Area was a vast region in the center of Galar, filled with boundless natural scenery and bordered by several towns.
It was overflowing with the atmosphere of the wilderness.
Their destination was Motostoke in the northern part of the Wild Area, where the Motostoke Gym was located.
Well, Galar’s Gyms weren’t actually called Gyms.
They were officially called Stadiums.
But Sora still felt that “Gym” and “Gym Leader” sounded more natural, so he simply continued using those terms.
“Do you know the Gym Leader of the Motostoke Gym, Cynthia?”
“I’ve heard of her, but I’ve never met her.”
The group was resting beside a beautiful stream in the Wild Area.
Cynthia stayed beside Sora while he prepared lunch, helping him with the cooking.
Cynthia’s culinary skills were quite average, but she could at least handle simple tasks like chopping vegetables and handing him ingredients.
Besides, Cynthia had been thinking about learning how to cook.
After all, if she had children in the future, it would be rather embarrassing for her to be a mother who couldn’t even cook.
Even if she couldn’t match Sora’s cooking skills, Cynthia still wanted to learn more dishes, so she could leave her children with a strong memory of their mother’s cooking.
“How strong is she?”
Along the journey, Sora frequently asked Cynthia about various matters concerning the League.
The world was vast, and so were the Pokémon Leagues.
Every region had its own channels for gathering information.
Take Alola, for example.
Sora found it surprisingly difficult to even search for information about the region online.
Almost everything he could find consisted of beach scenery and vacation destinations.
More detailed information, such as Pokémon distributions and intelligence regarding powerful Trainers, was practically nonexistent.
