Polluted Zone Live: The Useless Guide Stole the Show!
Chapter 33: Don’t Worry, They’ll Come Out
Even though Archer didn’t leave any message, Summer knew he had sent that gift so she could buy medicine.
"It’s not like I’m broke, you know," Summer suddenly said to the livestream. "And you could’ve just messaged me in private."
Actually, it would have been even easier if Archer had sent the money straight to her bank account. That way, she wouldn’t have to wait for the livestream credits to be converted into real money first.
But still, money was money. No matter what form it came in, Summer was grateful for it.
"Who are you talking to?" Ilya suddenly asked.
Summer looked up at him. "Archer. He just sent me money to buy medicine."
Ilya raised one eyebrow. "Archer is watching your livestream?"
Summer hesitated for a second before answering, "Yeah. He’s probably not too busy right now."
Ilya looked even more confused, as if hearing that Archer was watching someone’s livestream was just as impossible as seeing the sun rise from the west.
However, Summer ignored him because she had more important things to deal with, especially the painful throbbing in her ankle.
"Recommend some medicine for me," Summer said casually to the online system. "Something for a sprained ankle, muscle pain, and maybe basic emergency medicine too."

[Remaining Bank Balance: $631,232]
Summer honestly hadn’t expected medicine in a world like this to still be sold at such normal prices. She had seriously thought that even a simple painkiller would cost tens of thousands of dollars because everything here seemed so advanced.
But if that was the case, then Archer had definitely sent her way too much money.
Summer glanced at the amount again and let out a small sigh. Well, she could always treat the rest as one of his usual gifts.
Not long after, the familiar delivery drone came flying back toward her. It hovered above Summer for a moment before dropping a small box right in front of her.
Summer quickly reached out and caught it before it could hit the ground.
She opened the box and immediately took out all the medicine she had ordered.
"Do you know how to use them?" Ilya asked.
He was sitting a little farther away from her now, but all of his attention was still focused on Summer.
"I can. I guess," Summer replied. "It’s not like you can help me, right?"
Actually, Summer wasn’t very confident that she could properly treat her own injuries.
One of the main reasons was simple. It had been far too long since she last had an organic body.
Back then, she barely needed to think about things like swelling, bruises, sprains, or how much pressure she should put on an injured ankle. If one of her mechanical parts was damaged, she just repaired it or replaced the broken piece.
Human bodies were much more annoying.
Ilya seemed to notice her hesitation. "You can check the tutorial."
Summer looked up. "Tutorial?"
"Every terminal comes with basic first-aid information," Ilya explained. "Medicine, wounds, burns, fractures, poisoning, things like that. Just search for the treatment you need."
Summer let out a small sigh. It seemed like the original owner of this body had never paid much attention to first-aid information, which was probably why the memory had been buried under countless other memories in her head.
She lowered her gaze toward her terminal and quickly searched for the tutorial Ilya had mentioned.

[Sprain]
The moment she selected it, a simple step-by-step guide appeared in front of her. A small holographic image also popped up, showing exactly where she needed to spray the medicine and how to wrap her ankle afterward.
Summer watched it for a few seconds before nodding. "Okay, I get it."
She started following the instructions one by one.
First, she kept her ankle still. Then she sprayed the swollen area evenly, waited for the medicine to sink in, and finally wrapped the support band around her ankle just like the hologram showed.
Simple enough.
Even though her movements were a little stiff and awkward, she still managed to finish everything without messing up.
At least she didn’t embarrass herself in front of Ilya.
Summer looked down at her ankle and tested it carefully. "I think I’m fine now."
The medicine worked much faster than she expected.
In just a short time, the throbbing pain had already started to fade, and the swelling around her ankle was slowly going down right in front of her eyes.
"We can rest for a while," Ilya said.
He finally walked over to Summer and held out one hand toward her. "Don’t worry. I’m not going to deduct points just because you need some rest. And helping you stand up isn’t exactly a big deal, so it’s fine."
Summer looked at his hand for a moment before accepting it. "Thank you."
Ilya easily pulled her to her feet, though Summer was careful not to put too much weight on her injured ankle.
The two of them slowly made their way toward the nearest building, which was the hotel that had been hit by the mutated cat earlier.
Thankfully, the damage wasn’t too serious.
Only part of the wall near the entrance had been broken, while most of the lobby was still in decent shape. Even so, they decided to use one of the private lounges instead. It was more closed off and had much less dust drifting in from outside.
Ilya helped Summer sit down on the couch before taking a seat nearby. "It’s almost night anyway," he said. "We can stay here for the night."
Summer turned her head toward the window. Outside, the streets were already getting darker, and the whole area felt strangely quiet.
After watching for a moment, she frowned. "But didn’t they say the number of polluted creatures in this area has increased?" she asked. "Why have we only seen one so far?"
Sitting down beside her, Ilya replied, "Oh, don’t worry. Once night comes, those shy creatures will start coming out on their own."
