Polluted Zone Live: The Useless Guide Stole the Show!
Chapter 76: Team Angels
The moment Summer opened the black box and showed them her new uniform with the SSS-Rank badge on it, Saddie and Julie’s eyes immediately lit up.
"I knew it!" she said excitedly. "I knew your rank had to be above S!"
Julie looked even more shocked. "Miss Beaumont, this is... this is amazing!" she said, clearly nervous but also genuinely happy for Summer. "I’ve never talked to an SSS-Rank Guide before."
Summer frowned slightly. "What about your friends at the academy?"
Julie’s deer ears drooped on her head and then she gave an awkward laugh. "Ah, well... there’s no way a group of Elites would let a D-Rank join their friend group."
Summer’s expression changed a little as she realized the original owner of this body also experienced the same thing.
At the academy, students had somehow divided themselves into clear groups.
There were the Elites, the normal students, and then the so-called losers.
Unfortunately, anyone ranked D or below was usually thrown into the last group and treated like they did not matter.
"Oh, screw them!" Saddie said immediately. "Just because you’re not a high-ranking Guide doesn’t mean you’re a loser."
She placed one hand on Julie’s shoulder and grinned. "Don’t worry, Julie. I’ll definitely turn you into a successful streamer and a strong Guide!"
Julie looked at her with clear doubt. "B-But... how can I become a strong Guide if I’m only D-Rank?"
Before Saddie could answer, Summer spoke first. "I believe anyone can train themselves to become stronger."
Summer continued in a calm voice, "Being a strong Guide isn’t only about your rank. You also need a strong mind."
She paused for a moment before adding, "It’s fine to be scared. Everyone gets scared sometimes. But you shouldn’t let that fear stop you from trying to move forward."
Julie swallowed hard before finally speaking. "But even my physical test was really bad."
"It’s alright," Summer said calmly. "If your body really isn’t that strong, then you can work on your other skills instead."
Summer continued, "Let’s enter the polluted zone first. It’ll be easier for us to teach you through practice instead of just explaining everything with words."
Julie opened her mouth like she wanted to argue again, but in the end, she only nodded.
If people this strong were willing to teach her, then she had to listen carefully.
She would learn everything she could!
Seeing that, Summer reached out and patted Julie’s head a few times before the three of them walked toward the registration area.
While Saddie handled their group permit, Summer went to the bathroom to change.
The moment she put on the Elite uniform, she immediately noticed the difference. It felt nothing like the F-Rank uniform she used before.
The material was much softer, smoother against her skin, and it fit her body far better.
The uniform itself looked almost like a military jumpsuit, with the pants and upper part connected as one piece. Since the front could be opened slightly, Summer wore a simple black tank top underneath.
Most of the uniform was black, but there were small gold accents along the edges that made it look much more expensive than the standard one.
However, as far as she knew, she could request a different design if she wanted. That was probably why Archer and Ilya’s uniforms looked different from each other.
Unfortunately, Summer hadn’t had the time to make any special request yet, so for now, she would just use whatever was available.
By the time she stepped out of the bathroom, Saddie had already finished taking care of the permit.
"We can go now," Saddie said.
Because they didn’t have a special military permit like Ilya, they had to take a bus from headquarters to the polluted zone.
There were at least six other people inside the bus, probably another team heading into the polluted zone as well.
The moment Summer, Saddie, and Julie stepped inside, several pairs of eyes immediately turned toward them.
Summer didn’t pay much attention to it. She simply walked toward the front and sat in one of the three seats in the first row.
Julie sat between Summer and Saddie. She still looked nervous, but there was also a clear hint of curiosity in her eyes.
She was probably wondering what she would be able to do now.
Half an hour later, they finally arrived at the polluted zone.
Since it was only an E-Rank polluted zone, most of the people around them were also E-Rank to C-Rank.
As soon as they entered, Saddie turned to Julie. "Because we came here as a team, we’ll share one stream channel for now."
Saddie continued, "People can still follow our personal accounts, but all the gifts and income we earn during this mission will be split between the three of us."
Saddie then looked at Summer. "You don’t mind, right?"
Summer shrugged. "Fine by me."
Julie looked at them in disbelief. "B-But if we share a stream channel, wouldn’t you two be at a disadvantage? I mean... I don’t even have any fans right now."
After all, both Summer and Saddie already had a lot of followers. It felt unfair for Julie to suddenly get a share of the gifts their fans sent them.
"That’s exactly why we’re going to get you some fans!" Saddie said cheerfully as she patted Julie on the shoulder. "And stop worrying about the split. We’re a team, after all."
"Yeah, it’s not even a big deal," Summer added.
Besides, if Summer really wanted to earn more money, she could always enter a higher-ranked polluted zone with Ilya or Archer later.
"If you say so..." Julie whispered.
[Team Angels Livestream Activated.]
Summer raised one of her eyebrows because she hadn’t expected that team name. Saddie must have been the one who came up with it.
It didn’t take long for the viewer count to shoot up. The moment the livestream started, notifications were automatically sent to Summer and Saddie’s followers.
[Hell yeah! Saddie and Summer in the same frame!]
[Summer, why do you NEVER announce when you’re going to livestream?! I almost had a heart attack!]
[Wait, who’s that girl?]
[Isn’t that Julie? The student Summer helped in Zone 41?]
[Damn, this is bringing back memories of all the chaos in that zone!]
Before the comments could get even more out of control, Saddie quickly stepped in.
"Today, we have a special guest with us. Julie!" She grabbed Julie’s hand and happily waved it toward the camera. "Say hi, Julie!"
