Polluted Zone Live: The Useless Guide Stole the Show!
Chapter 79: Training Paid Off
The moment the viewers realized that Summer’s rank had gone up, they immediately started sending even more gifts.
[NeonButterfly sent ×10 Angel Wings: 50,000 Credits]
[BlueOrbit sent ×1 Planet’s Blessing: 50,000 Credits]
[BaronB sent ×1 Celestial Meteor: 250,000 Credits]
[HOLY SHIT?!]
[BARONB CALM DOWN!]
[He really saw the SSS-Rank badge and said, "Take my money."]
[Someone needs to check his bank account.]
[No, someone needs to check MY bank account because why can’t I do this?!]
Summer glanced at the notifications for a moment before quickly looking away again.
She had already gotten used to seeing expensive gifts during her streams, but the numbers still felt ridiculous sometimes.
Saddie’s viewers had also started sending gifts, and when everything was added together, the amount had already reached nearly 300,000 Credits.
As Summer and Saddie walked toward the mutated dogs, Julie’s face slowly turned pale.
She had never seen this much money moving through a livestream before.
[Julie. Julie, are you still breathing?]
[Someone check on the poor girl.]
[She looks more shocked by the gifts than the mutated dogs.]
[Can you blame her? I would faint too if I could be in the same stream as these two angels!]
[Julie, blink twice if you need financial counseling!]
[Mods! We’ve got a scammer in the chat!]
On the other side, Saddie rolled her ankles a few times to loosen up while keeping an eye on the mutated dogs.
"How was your training with Captain Ilya the other day?" she asked. "It was hell, right?"
Summer let out a small sigh. "Yeah, it was hell." Then she tightened her grip on her blade and smiled a little. "But it was worth it."
Summer barely had time to finish speaking before the first mutated dog rushed toward her.
Its claws scraped against the cracked pavement as it charged, mouth wide open and black saliva dripping from its teeth.
Summer did not move right away. Instead, she waited until the creature got close enough, then she stepped sharply to the side.
The dog missed her by less than an arm’s length and slammed into the side of an abandoned car.
Summer turned with it and brought her blade down across its back.
The creature let out a sharp cry and twisted around, but Summer had already moved away.
A second dog came from her left. She lowered her body, let its claws pass over her shoulder, then kicked against the broken bumper behind her to push herself forward.
Her blade cut across the creature’s front leg and it stumbled.
Summer grabbed the edge of the car door with one hand, swung herself around it, and drove the blade into the side of its neck.

She pulled the blade free and immediately ducked.
The third dog jumped over her. Summer quickly rolled across the ground, came back up on one knee, and raised the blade just in time to block another attack from the first dog.
The force pushed her backward that her shoes slid across the pavement.
Summer gritted her teeth and twisted her wrist, forcing the creature’s claws away from her blade, then she kicked its chest.
The dog stumbled back and Summer used the opening to jump onto the hood of the abandoned car beside her.
Summer ran across the hood, planted one foot on the windshield, and pushed herself upward.
The creature snapped at her leg, but missed. Summer turned in the air and brought the blade down.
The edge struck the dog across the shoulder and sent it crashing off the car.
[That movement was CLEAN!]
[Wait, when did Summer learn how to move like that?!]
[Captain Ilya really put her through hell.]
[Look at her using the car!]
Summer landed on the hood, bent her knees to take the impact, then jumped down before the third dog could reach her
It came at her from the side, but Summer quickly moved backward and led it toward a pile of broken concrete. The dog jumped over the first piece, while Summer stepped onto the second one and used the extra height to turn her body.
The moment the creature lunged at her, Summer moved aside and let it land badly between the broken pieces of concrete. Its front leg slipped, and she immediately took advantage of the opening. She stepped forward and slashed across its throat in one clean movement.

There was only one remained.
The last dog let out a low growl as it slowly circled around her. Summer turned with it, keeping the blade in front of her body. Her breathing had become faster, but her hands were still steady.
The dog suddenly rushed forward, and instead of backing away, Summer ran toward it too. At the last second, she dropped low and slid across the pavement, letting the creature jump over her.
While she was still on the ground, Summer twisted her body and slashed across one of its back legs. The dog crashed down hard, and before it could stand again, she quickly pushed herself up and rushed forward.
She took two fast steps and drove the blade down.
Right after that, the creature stopped moving.

Summer pulled the blade free and stepped back, breathing a little harder than before.
The fight had only lasted a short time, but her body felt completely different compared to when she first started training.
Her movements were faster and also lighter.
A burst of gunfire suddenly came from the other side of the street.
Summer turned just in time to see Saddie duck under one of the dogs and fire straight into its side. The creature stumbled, and Saddie immediately kicked its front leg before finishing it with another shot.

"Looks like you’re done too," Summer called out.
Saddie glanced at her and grinned. "I was going to say the same thing."
Summer smiled back and started walking toward her.
She had only taken three steps when a loud bang suddenly echoed from somewhere in the distance.
"Summer!"
Before she could even react, her body jerked forward as a bullet tore through her shoulder.
For a second, Summer did not understand what had happened, but she could feel the pain.
Her hand immediately flew to her shoulder as warm blood started spreading across her uniform.
