Possessive & Addicted: The CEO Could Never Let Her Go
Chapter 1190: Mr. Gu’s Reflection
Pei Zhe called a car up to the mountaintop. "Let’s take the car down!"
Everyone got into the car. On the way home, the two kids were tired from playing and fell asleep.
The car drove straight to the gate of Tianqin District.
When An Han got out, her legs were sore and aching from fatigue.
Mu Shaohan carried Gu Yu down, and Pei Zhe held Gu Yao in his arms as they walked in together.
Housekeeper Zhu came out to greet them. "Mr. President, Secretary Mu, thank you both. Please sit down and have some tea!"
The servants at home took the two sleeping children and carried them upstairs so they could keep sleeping.
"Thank you, Housekeeper Zhu. Mr. President still has work to do, so we’ll be going." Mu Shaohan said.
After he finished, he said to An Han, "Rest more at home. I don’t approve of you going back to work this early."
"Got it. You all go get busy." An Han nodded.
After Mu Shaohan and Pei Zhe left, of course Pei Zhe also knew that An Han’s mother had been too smart and too devoted to her career, which was why she passed away so young.
He shared the same view as the Mu Family brothers. No matter how difficult things were for the country right now, they didn’t want An Han, still weak after childbirth, worrying herself over it.
"Shao Han, let the Minister of Commerce know we’ll slow down a bit on the chip issue." Pei Zhe said.
"Yes, sir!" Mu Shaohan agreed at once.
...
Tianqin Residence.
After taking a shower, An Han went to check on the three little babies.
The children were growing day by day, and their energy was starting to perk up.
When they saw their mom, they all babbled greetings at her.
She picked them up one by one, each in turn, soothing each for a while. It made her think of her own mother—raising eight kids and holding each one for a bit. That was really something!
She also knew that everyone was worried she might overwork herself after giving birth and end up like her mother...
She would take care of her body. She couldn’t bear to leave her young children behind, nor could she bear to leave her beloved husband.
After the three little ones played for a bit, they started yawning.
Once the maternity nurse coaxed them to sleep, An Han went back to her room to rest.
Gu Xiaozhan came home comparatively early; he had spent a long stretch in the company’s R&D department.
Ma Changguang called again, telling him not to rush too much on the chip front and to focus on spending time with his family first.
"Mr. Gu, today Mr. President and Secretary Mu brought Young Master and Young Miss back after they’d played themselves tired." Housekeeper Zhu felt he should report every single thing.
Gu Xiaozhan was eating. When he heard this, he put down his chopsticks and went straight upstairs.
He pushed open the bedroom door. An Han was holding a tablet, binge-watching a sweet pet drama.
When she hit a funny part, she burst out laughing.
"Xiao Zhan, you’re back?" She looked at the man at the door and even showed off to him: "I’m telling you, with this drama you don’t need to use your brain at all. When you’re watching, you just have to enjoy yourself."
Gu Xiaozhan walked over to her and sat down on the sofa. "You had Pei Zhe playing with our kids?"
"We just ran into him by chance." An Han put down the tablet, hurrying to explain: "If you don’t like it, next time we run into him we’ll just go the other way."
Gu Xiaozhan was a bit displeased, but his mood didn’t swing too much. "It’s all my fault for being too busy."
An Han froze. Was this really the same paranoid, irritable Gu Xiaozhan?
He was actually being reasonable!
He was actually reflecting on himself!
"I’ll make more time to be with you and the kids from now on." Gu Xiaozhan held her hand.
An Han was a bit overwhelmed by the favor. She quickly put her hand on his forehead to check if this man had a fever.
