At noon, Mu An finished her work in the R&D department and came to the CEO’s office for lunch.

"I heard Mom came looking for me?" She asked while shoveling rice into her mouth.

Gu Xiaozhan picked some food for her. "Eat slower. Just ignore her."

He went over everything again, especially Gu Xiaorui’s views on love and marriage.

Mu Anhan gave him a thumbs up. "I really didn’t expect this, Mr. Gu. Your thinking’s actually pretty open. If Yu Er ends up marrying someone whose status and background aren’t as good as yours, you’d still agree, right?"

"First of all, he has to treat Yu Er the best. The rest, all that external stuff, doesn’t really matter." Gu Xiaozhan nodded.

Mu Anhan agreed. He knocked lightly on her head. "So in your heart, I was some stubborn old-fashioned guy to begin with?"

"Not at all, not at all." Mu Anhan picked a shrimp for him. "After all, you guys are a big rich family. Who knew you’d actually think like that?"

"Seriously though, we’re already thinking about marrying Yu Er off this early—can you bear it?" Gu Xiaozhan instantly slipped into old-father mode.

Mu Anhan followed his lead. "I can’t, I can’t. Let’s keep her a few more years before we talk about that."

Gu Xiaozhan picked more dishes for her. "Eat more. You’ve gotten even thinner lately. It’s like my hands are hitting bone when I hold you."

"Heh heh..." Mu Anhan shot him a look. "Back when I was all fair and chubby, I didn’t see you give me any extra attention. Now you complain I’m too thin. Serves you right!"

Gu Xiaozhan was left speechless by the retort. In his heart, he silently repeated three times: This is my dear wife, I deserve this!

"How about we raise you back to all fair and chubby again?" He wrapped his hand around her slender fingers.

"No way!" Mu Anhan snorted. "I’ll just let you keep missing it!"

Gu Xiaozhan: "..."

He ground his back teeth a little. "Is it because I haven’t dealt with you lately that you’ve gotten bolder and bolder?"

"That’s because you’re in the wrong." Mu Anhan wasn’t afraid of him at all. She ate until she was stuffed, put her chopsticks down, and even let out a satisfied burp.

Gu Xiaozhan handed her a teacup. "Heartless little thing. I treat you so well and you still say I deserve it!"

He’d noticed she’d been into meat lately, so he’d specially prepared tea for her.

"Not at all, I feel bad for Mr. Gu too." As soon as she caught the fragrance of the tea, she started talking nicely.

Gu Xiaozhan pointed at the dishes on the table. "There’s still a lot left. Want to eat some more?"

"Looks like you really are on a mission to fatten me up!" Mu Anhan patted her round tummy.

When Gu Xiaozhan reached over to touch it too, she slapped his hand away. "Don’t grab randomly! This is the workplace—show some decorum!"

He: "..."

"You’re the one who said that." Mu Anhan laughed triumphantly.

The debts he owed before, now he had to pay them back bit by bit.

"Oh right, did you ask my third brother to check that overseas IP address?" Mu Anhan leaned back comfortably on the sofa.

Gu Xiaozhan pressed his thin lips together, clearly not planning to talk about it.

"I’m talking to you!" She lifted her foot and lightly kicked in his direction.

"That matter has nothing to do with you or me. What’s the point of worrying about it?" Gu Xiaozhan was not happy that she was still fretting over Pei Zhe’s business.

"You big jealous vinegar jar." Mu Anhan muttered under her breath.

Gu Xiaozhan continued slowly savoring his lunch. "What did you say?"

"I said, Mr. Gu, do you want me to pick some food for you?" Mu Anhan got up from the sofa and walked over to his side.

"No, I’m full." Gu Xiaozhan put down his chopsticks.

Mu Anhan immediately and attentively brought over the teacup. "The dishes are a bit greasy—have some tea to cut the oil."

Enjoying her pampering, Gu Xiaozhan glanced sideways at her, the corners of his lips unconsciously lifting in contentment.
