Pregnant Bunny, Obsessed Beast Husbands

Chapter 350: "You Care About Him Quite a Bit.

The black rabbit on the rocking chair slowly turned its head. "Oh."

He couldn’t be bothered to ask about the situation on the front lines.

All he wanted to do now was sleep.

The staff member outside the door continued, "The Deep Sea has recovered a soldier. I believe his name is Buli. Lord Shen He said that only Ms. Zhi Zhi is to treat Buli; no other physicians are to be considered."

Buli?!

Hearing the name, a flash of delight crossed Yu Zhizhi’s eyes. She quickly turned around. "Okay, I’ll go right away!"

’Buli was rescued!’

’That’s great!’

Yu Zhizhi said to Noel, "I’m going to head over."

The black rabbit hummed in acknowledgment.

Only after hearing the door close did he fall asleep.

Yu Zhizhi had been assisting the physicians with the wounded today, so she still had some spiritual power left. She wondered how Buli was doing.

Lord Shen He held Buli in high regard. It was understandable that he wouldn’t trust any other physician.

Yu Zhizhi arrived at a lounge.

The staff member who brought her there left.

She pushed open the door and saw a young, brown-haired man sitting on the sofa. He was still wearing a Deep Sea soldier’s uniform, his posture ramrod straight, his hands resting on his knees.

Hearing the sound, Buli looked over. "Ms. Zhi Zhi."

He stood up.

Yu Zhizhi gently closed the door behind her. "I’m here to treat your injuries. You..."

She looked around but couldn’t see where the brown-haired young man was hurt.

Buli smiled. "It’s nothing serious. The rescue team got there early, so I just have a minor scrape."

He rolled up his sleeve, revealing nothing more than a shallow scratch.

"That’s good..." Yu Zhizhi sighed in relief.

"Lord Shen He specifically sent for me. I thought you must be seriously injured."

’It’s for the best that Buli is all right.’

’For Lord Shen He to specifically ask for Ms. Zhi Zhi to treat him, he probably just wanted to see her.’

As Yu Zhizhi applied ointment for him, she couldn’t help but ask, "That place you went to... is it always night there?"

"Yes. They fell into an eternal night five years ago. Everyone moved to underground bases. Plants began to mutate, and the basics of life—food, clothing, shelter, and transportation—became extremely difficult."

Buli spoke slowly, "I happened to be sent to a deserted, dilapidated manor, so it wasn’t very dangerous. Later, while foraging for food, I encountered some mutated plants—but for us, they weren’t difficult to handle."

"I think those smugglers are looking for a new home. Compared to them, we have everything we could possibly need here. They must have an organization pulling the strings from behind the scenes."

Yu Zhizhi listened intently. She placed the ointment back in the first-aid kit. "And... Tang... Locke? Is there any news of him?"

Buli shook his head. "Aside from being brought back by Lord Shen He this time, I was alone the entire time. I didn’t run into anyone else from our side. But Ms. Zhi Zhi, you don’t need to worry. With Lord Locke’s Strength, in that place—they’re the ones who should be worried."

If Lord Locke were to enter a Berserk state, he could very well destroy half a planet.

Their Strength is far inferior to the Beast World’s.

It’s just that they might be brewing a major conspiracy.

Hearing Buli’s words eased Yu Zhizhi’s heart a little. ’Buli has already been found, so Tang Luo Ke should be found soon too, right?’

Footsteps sounded from outside the door.

Buli quickly stood up.

The lounge door was pushed open, and he bowed. "Lord Shen He."

When Yu Zhizhi saw Shen He had returned, she also scrambled to her feet, grabbing her first-aid kit and looking to flee.

But the only door was blocked by the Big Shark.

He shot a glance at Buli, who immediately took his leave.

Yu Zhizhi said in a small voice, "I-I should go rest too."

"You should at least finish treating the patient," Shen He said, pulling the door shut.

Yu Zhizhi looked up at the man towering over her. He was dressed in the deep navy-blue military uniform of the Deep Sea, and a mottled bloodstain marred the front of his chest.

She froze. "You’re injured?"

’Doesn’t Lord Shen He have a regeneration ability? All his wounds are supposed to heal.’

This trip must have involved many battles. Shen He’s gray eyes fell on the little female’s face. "...Mhm."

Yu Zhizhi remembered.

Even if the wounds healed, it would still be incredibly painful.

She turned to the side and reached out to pull Shen He’s sleeve. "Then sit over here. I’ll apply medicine for you."

A faint smile touched Shen He’s lips. He obediently followed the little female to the sofa.

He took off his shirt, revealing a recently healed scar on his chest that snaked across his skin like a giant centipede, looking utterly terrifying.

Yu Zhizhi crouched by the sofa. When she saw it, she thought that with a wound so severe, his body might have been split in two...

She scooped out the ointment and carefully applied it.

The lounge was silent.

The little female’s movements were exceedingly gentle. Shen He lowered his gaze to watch her. As her fingers slowly moved upward, brushing past his heart, he suddenly grabbed her hand.

Yu Zhizhi was startled.

She lifted her head, staring blankly at the Big Shark before her.

"Wh-what is it?"

’Did I hurt him?’

Shen He’s deep, gray eyes stared intently at her. "It’s been so many days. Have you been avoiding me?"

"No..." Yu Zhizhi’s cheeks grew warm as he saw right through her. Her voice started to stammer, "I-I was just... practicing my Evolution Skill. I needed a quiet place."

"Oh? Is that so?"

"Yes, it is, Lord Shen He. Besides Buli, have you found anyone else?" Yu Zhizhi quickly changed the subject.

Shen He released her hand. He leaned back against the sofa, his eyes dark and profound. "No."

He had been searching for so many days, encountering many obstacles and fighting several battles along the way. Buli had been near one of the battlefields; he heard the commotion and came to find them.

As for the others—

There was no news.

However, from the fragmented information he’d gathered, he knew full well what those smugglers were planning.

It seemed this would be a long war.

Yu Zhizhi lowered her head. Seeing the worried expression on her face, Shen He asked, "Thinking about that wolf?"

"...Mhm." Yu Zhizhi slowly nodded.

Shen He averted his gaze and snorted softly.

He was also looking for that wolf.

It looked like the temporary alliance with Varolan would be extended for a while.

The most urgent task now was to deal with these rats hiding in the gutters. He wouldn’t be satisfied until he’d wiped them all out.

"You really care about him," Shen He said, his tone deep and somber.

Yu Zhizhi finished applying the last of the ointment and sat down on the sofa. "If I hadn’t been running away from my marriage, he never would have come to Greenfield City."

In Yu Zhizhi’s eyes...

if he hadn’t come to Greenfield City, perhaps Tang Luo Ke wouldn’t have gotten into trouble.

Hearing those words, Shen He looked over at her.

He knew.

Many broadcast clips from the Valoran Imperial City incident had been leaked. He had seen that the little rabbit was unwilling to marry that Green Snake.

Shen He asked, "What if your marriage partner was Duke Bolan? Would you be willing?"

Yu Zhizhi’s rabbit-like eyes widened, and she shook her head repeatedly. "No, no, no!"

’The Duke would be even worse!’

’We aren’t even married, and the Duke was already watching me like a hawk. If it weren’t for the Divine Hall Illusion Realm, which let me complete the mission by a stroke of luck, I might have already been obliterated for failing it!’
