Pregnant Bunny, Obsessed Beast Husbands
Chapter 483 - 482: Feeding
Dinner was ready.
After returning to the castle, Yu Zhizhi went to freshen up first. She looked around her clean and tidy room, where the white, floor-length gauze curtains swayed in the breeze.
Everything in the territory was so familiar, putting her at ease.
In the dining hall, Buli watched through the floor-to-ceiling windows as night fell. The lights of the territory flickered on, making the scene appear even more serene than it had at dusk.
However... Buli turned around and looked at Lord Shen He, who was enjoying his dinner. "They’ve followed us here."
That group had been tailing them ever since they left Silan City.
Despite suffering heavy casualties, they hadn’t fled.
On the contrary, after entering the Sky Star Sea Area, they seemed to have become even more excited. It was as if they had been restrained before; here, their Strength had grown, and they were becoming increasingly difficult to handle.
Shen He sliced into the roasted rack of lamb before him. "Capture one alive."
His words were concise and to the point.
Buli nodded. "Understood."
Having freshened up, Yu Zhizhi arrived at the dining hall. Her freshly washed long hair looked even softer and shinier, and her two fluffy rabbit ears were as white as a layer of snow. Her eyes sparkling, she sat down across from the Big Shark, picked up her soup spoon, and eagerly took a sip of pumpkin soup.
’Mmm, this is delicious!’
She loved the food in her territory and had often missed it during her time away.
Shen He watched the little female of the Rabbit Clan across from him. His cold, gray eyes gradually softened, a faint hint of a smile touching them.
She rarely had such a hearty appetite.
’Today, she’s a little rabbit who’s serious about her food.’
Yu Zhizhi held the bowl with both hands, her face nearly buried in it. Sensing a gaze from across the table, she looked up and found the Big Shark staring at her intently.
She hesitated for a moment before slowly setting down her soup bowl, picking up her chopsticks, and placing a piece of carrot on Shen He’s plate.
Shen He glanced at the dash of orange on his roasted lamb.
’Sharks are carnivores. Why would he eat a vegetable like this?’
The thought had barely formed when Shen He had already used his fork to bring the piece of carrot to his mouth. He chewed, experiencing its soft texture and the faint, unique sweetness of the carrot.
’This is the food the little rabbit loves so much.’
’So this is what it tastes like.’
Seeing the Big Shark eat what she had given him, Yu Zhizhi smiled happily. Growing more enthusiastic, she added several more items to his plate: another piece of carrot, a chestnut, some bok choy, and a piece of potato.
Shen He ate every last bite.
A stunned expression appeared on Buli’s face. He never would have imagined he’d see Lord Shen He eat a full vegetarian meal.
The small interaction was unexpectedly heartwarming.
Shen He watched the little female, her eyes curving into crescents as she smiled. Her fluffy rabbit ears twitched slightly. She propped her hands on her stool, her posture exceptionally relaxed and content.
He could even imagine her little feet swinging gently under the table.
’Small enough to fit in one hand.’
Unfortunately, the disturbance in the territory’s sea area had ruined his mood.
Shen He finished his meal.
He set down his knife and fork.
"I have to go out for a bit. Stay in the castle until I return, and don’t go anywhere."
Although Yu Zhizhi was a little confused, she didn’t ask any questions. "Okay."
Shen He stood up, his tall figure blocking the Light. From Yu Zhizhi’s perspective, the Big Shark’s features were thrown into sharp relief against the Light, making them appear more defined and profound. His brow bone was as sharp as if carved by a knife, faintly concealing a bloodthirsty violence—the innate characteristic of an apex ocean predator.
The man walked toward the door.
Buli followed close behind.
As he left, he gave a slight bow to Miss Rabbit.
Yu Zhizhi looked at the food in front of her. She was completely full now. She had originally wanted to go see the Little Octopus, but since Lord Shen He had given her instructions, she would just stay quietly in the castle from now on and not go anywhere.
’The Big Shark must have discovered something.’
After Shen He left, Jialou, the Guard Commander of the territory, appeared at the entrance to the dining hall.
"They’ve gone to the nearby sea area. There’s some troublesome creature lurking on the undersea floor," Jialou reported. "With the Marshal of the Deep Sea Empire taking action personally, it should be resolved quickly."
Jialou had noticed the unfamiliar, hostile aura.
They had followed the warship here.
’I wonder if they’re after the Hai Giant Shark, or our Lady Lord?’
The sea was calm and windless at night. Then, with a soul-shaking BOOM, the entire coastline erupted as if from an explosion, sending a monstrous wave surging upwards.
The Little Octopus, which had been "taking a bath" in the sea, was knocked over by the wave. It stared blankly at its own enormous body, apparently not understanding where the sudden wave had come from.
Quickly, it gathered its tentacles floating on the surface and plunged its two eyes into the water.
’Huh? Wha—?’
It saw the Hai Giant Shark charging toward the undersea depths. So he was the one who had caused that commotion just now.
The Little Octopus belatedly discovered the "enemy."
’Damn it!’
It flailed its tentacles aggressively and dove down. ’I must have been too comfortable in the sea, I can’t believe I didn’t notice invaders entering the territory!’
’That’s unacceptable!’
’This is my and the little rabbit’s turf!’
Buli stood on the shore, watching as the tranquil sea instantly became a tumultuous swirl of waves. He heard agonizing cries, and the color of blood gradually spread up from the undersea depths.
Lord Shen He had always been ruthless. Aside from the single one he wanted to keep alive, all the others would die here.
Suddenly, Buli felt a malevolent aura shoot out from the sea.
He immediately raised his weapon, but in an instant, the gaseous wisp grazed past his body and shot into the territory!
’This is bad!’
Buli hurriedly fell back to defend, but the entity was too fast. With his current spiritual power, he couldn’t possibly catch up!
Buli even suspected that of everyone in the territory, only Lord Shen He was fast enough to catch it.
Inside the castle, Yu Zhizhi was still in the dining hall.
She was watering a potted plant, and the dark, ice-colored Little Elf hovered around her, never leaving her side.
Just as she was about to speak to Aquilia, the dining hall’s glass window suddenly shattered. She looked up just in time to see a dense black wisp of gas lunging toward her!
At the same moment, a barrier emanating Ice Qi erupted from the ground, firmly enclosing her within it!
BANG!
The black gas slammed into the Glacier Barrier. Yu Zhizhi heard an indignant, hissing sound, as if it had hurt itself on impact.
The dark, ice-colored Little Elf immediately entered a combat stance!
But it was still very small and had almost no combat ability. During the time Yu Zhizhi was away, the growth of both Little Elves had stagnated. It seemed they could only level up when they were with her.
Buli almost instantly reported, "Lord Shen He, one of them slipped in!"
Under the sea, Shen He crushed an intruder’s skull under his foot. He gave a faint "Mm," and said, "I know."
A cunning one had slipped away from under his long blade.
However, Shen He had already smelled another familiar scent. Even before he entered the sea, the distinctive smell of Mermaid scales had already entered the Sky Star Territory.
’He should be by the little rabbit’s side by now.’
