Chapter 572: Chapter 570: Son, What Are You Going to Do?

Looking at the stack of evidence in her hands, Celeste Grant turned her gaze to her son.

"Son, what do you plan to do?"

What to do?

Aaron Sinclair lowered his head slightly, his expression serious. His eyes held a maturity and determination that belied his age.

He said, "Mother, I’ll present this evidence to my Imperial Uncle and expose their crimes to the public. I want to utterly destroy the reputations of those impostors in the General’s Mansion who stole someone’s identity. I’ll make that family such pariahs that they’ll have nowhere to be buried when they die. Ptooey! If they don’t want to act like human beings, then they shouldn’t be treated as such."

Celeste Grant had no objections and nodded slightly. "Alright. As long as you’ve decided, son, that’s fine. Your mother has no opinion on the matter. Your father supports you too. Do whatever you want; you don’t need our permission."

’She had wanted her son to be the one to vent his anger and take revenge himself. Otherwise, for daring to harm her son, those people from the General’s Mansion would have long since been added to the Ten Thousand Souls Banner.’

Aaron Sinclair was touched. He turned and hugged his mother. "I know. You and Father are the best. I feel so happy right now." ’He used to envy other children who had loving parents. He wasn’t envious anymore. He already had the best father and mother in the world.’

"Haha, good boy. I just hope my son will be happy and safe for the rest of his life."

Javier Sinclair, his arm around Celeste Grant’s shoulders, watched his son hugging his wife. He reached out and tapped him lightly on the head. "You’re a big boy now. Aren’t you embarrassed to still be clinging to your mother, kid?"

Aaron Sinclair looked up with a grin. "Hehe, does it not sting your conscience to say that, Father? You’re not letting go of Mother either. You’re much older than I am, and I’m still young!"

Celeste Grant glanced at the father-son duo and rolled her eyes. "Both of you, stop it right there. Be careful, or I’ll have you both kneeling on washboards."

A curious expression appeared on Aaron Sinclair’s face. He let go of his mother, his gaze sweeping over his parents before finally landing on his father. "Father, have you ever had to kneel on a washboard?"

Javier Sinclair’s mouth twitched at the question. His mind flashed back to the time this little rascal had gifted him a washboard.

He glanced at his son, straightened his posture, and said with a stern face, "Children shouldn’t pry into adult affairs."

Celeste Grant couldn’t help but laugh at their exchange.

"Let’s put that aside for now. Come, let’s discuss something important. Before you arrived, your father and I were talking about sending you to an academy. At your age, you should be making friends and having a good time. Otherwise, when you grow up, you won’t have any happy childhood memories to look back on."

’In The Cultivation World, formal education wasn’t so emphasized. But this was Elyndra, and her son’s wisp of a Primordial Spirit was currently an ordinary person. He should experience the life of one.’

’As for teaching him Cultivation, that wasn’t necessary. He already possessed a Cultivation base; this wasn’t a case of a reincarnated Primordial Spirit. His current body didn’t need to cultivate. In fact, if she tried to teach him, this manifested body might not be able to withstand his power and simply dissipate.’

Aaron Sinclair froze.

"I have to study?"

At his question, both Celeste Grant and Javier Sinclair turned to look at him. She smiled and said, "What else would you do? You’re still young, son. If you don’t go to school, what would you do?"

Aaron Sinclair wasn’t particularly interested in studying. It wasn’t difficult for him; he could grasp concepts just by reading or hearing them once. Compared to academics, he much preferred practicing martial arts.

With that in mind, he rubbed his head and said softly, "Father, Mother... to be honest, I’d rather practice martial arts and become a powerful fighter than study. That way, I can protect myself, and I can protect you both."

’He had some rudimentary knowledge of martial arts, but it was far too basic. Now that he had people he cared about, he wanted to become stronger. He wanted to protect everything precious to him, not just stand by helplessly and be filled with regret when danger struck.’

Celeste Grant smiled at his words.

"As expected of my good boy, you even know to protect your mother... sniffle... Mommy is so touched." She affectionately pressed her forehead against his.

A smile spread across Aaron Sinclair’s face. ’This was his mother. Of course he had to protect her and treat her well.’

Still feeling touched, Celeste Grant said, "It’s a good thing you want to practice martial arts, son. It can build up your strength and help you protect yourself. If you want to learn, have your father teach you. His skills are quite impressive."

Aaron Sinclair looked up at his father.

’Have Father teach me.’

He’d heard that the Warden of the North was a master of martial arts, but he never imagined that the Warden of the North was his own father. Thinking of this, he asked, "Father, may I?"

Javier Sinclair glanced at him and gave a slight nod. "You are my son. Who else would I teach? If you want to learn, you’ll learn." ’Still, these martial arts of The Mortal Realm are a bit of a hassle.’

’My son’s current body is only suited for the martial arts of The Mortal Realm. Looks like I’ll have to invent a manual for him.’

Aaron Sinclair stood up.

"Thank you, Father."

Javier Sinclair waved a dismissive hand. "You’re my son. There’s no need for thanks."

"It’s getting late, so I’m going to head to bed. Father, Mother, you two should also get some rest. I won’t disturb you any longer."

He turned to leave, but as he stepped out of the pavilion, he paused, glanced back at them, and gave a mischievous smile. "Mother, you and Father should give me a little sister soon."

Javier Sinclair shot him a look. "Go to sleep. You can have anything you want in your dreams."

Aaron Sinclair shot back, "I don’t want to dream it, I want it to be real."

’He just wants a little sister. Is that so wrong? Of course not. Hehe, a little sister... I hope Father and Mother give me one soon.’ With that thought, his spirits lifted, and he strode off into the distance.

They watched his small figure disappear into the distance.

Sitting in the pavilion, Celeste Grant couldn’t help but laugh. "Our son is certainly persistent about wanting a little sister. Even without his past memories, he’s still dead set on it, haha."

Javier Sinclair nodded slightly.

"He is quite persistent," he said, wrapping his arms around her waist and resting his chin on her shoulder. "Wife, now that our son is gone, let me hold you properly."

Celeste Grant felt his breath on her neck and instinctively shrank back. She placed her hand on his chin and murmured, "You’re too close. Your breath tickles my neck."

Javier Sinclair leaned in and kissed her cheek, his hands tightening around her waist, pulling her even closer.

He whispered her name.

"My lady... Celeste..."

Celeste Grant smiled.

"The Archfiend... who are you trying to seduce with that enchanting voice of yours?"

"You, my lady," he replied.

She tilted her head up to meet his tender gaze.

She reached out, wrapped her arms around his neck, and shifted to sit astride his lap. At her movement, Javier Sinclair’s Adam’s apple bobbed, and his hands on her waist tightened their grip.

"Husband, kiss me."

The moment the words left her lips.

Javier Sinclair froze for a second. In that instant, Celeste Grant felt a hand tighten on her waist as the man before her cradled the back of her neck and captured her lips in a kiss.
