Chapter 669 - 667: Primordial Spirit Unity, The Demon God’s True Form
Chapter 669: Chapter 667: Primordial Spirit Unity, The Demon God’s True Form
Celeste Grant gently touched the side of her cheek. She looked up at the sky, a smile gracing her face.
"Come back soon."
Nerida, who was standing beside her, looked around in confusion. "My Lady, who are you talking to?" She hadn’t sensed anyone nearby at all!
’Could it be The Exalted One?’
Nerida looked at Celeste Grant, her expression one of instant comprehension. "My Lady, were you talking to The Exalted One?"
Celeste Grant smiled faintly and nodded.
"Yes. Who else could it be?"
"It really was The Exalted One! Then where is he?"
"He’s not here." Celeste Grant placed a hand on Nerida’s shoulder and said softly, "Your Exalted One went to The Ninefold Abyss. His true body is there. Now that this part of him has returned, he’s gone to perform a Primordial Spirit Fusion with his main body."
’It was all because of me that Javier Sinclair, back when he was The Demon God, split off a piece of his Primordial Spirit and sent it to the Lower Realm. At the time, he had seen his future self through the Mysterious Ancient Mirror and was worried because I was pregnant. So, he sent his Primordial Spirit to the Lower Realm, and it ended up meeting my past self. It really formed a perfect loop. All you can say is that some things are just meant to be.’
’Once the Primordial Spirit Fusion is complete, the one who appears will be the Demon God himself, whole and complete. But really, whether it’s his clone or his true self, they are both him. As long as it’s Javier Sinclair, he is the man I love.’
’Speaking of which, it’s not like I’ve only been with the clone. I met Javier back when he was The Demon God. I even held him. His golden eyes were so beautiful then.’
Before Celeste Grant could say anything else, Nerida, who was standing beside her, put a finger to her chin and suddenly grinned.
Seeing her sudden grin, Celeste Grant shot her a sideways glance. "Nerida, what are you laughing about? That smile is a little creepy."
Nerida looked at her, giggled mischievously, and said, "I just think it’s a shame. Couldn’t they have waited a little longer to do the Primordial Spirit Fusion? To be honest, I really wanted to see two Exalted Ones appear at the same time, staging a whole drama with two men fighting over one wife. It would have been so exciting, just like in the storybooks. I even had a schedule worked out for you. The first Exalted One gets you Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, and the second one gets Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. On the extra day, you, My Lady, get to rest. It would have been absolutely perfect."
’Whoa, whoa, whoa...’
’Oh, girl.’
’You really are something else.’
’Are you even listening to what you’re saying?’
Celeste: "..."
For a moment, Celeste Grant was speechless, her mind reeling.
’Holy cow!’
’I really have to hand it to her! Nerida, that’s so you. No one else would dare to have such an outrageous thought. Yes, yes... what a brilliant idea you have there, Nerida.’
Celeste Grant turned to face Nerida, who stood before her. Nerida was tall, standing at one-point-seven meters, and was about half a head taller than her. With fair skin, a beautiful face, and long legs, she had a dashing and heroic kind of beauty that instantly marked her as a formidable figure.
Celeste Grant reached out and patted her on the shoulder, her expression completely serious. "Nerida, you’ve got quite the nerve."
Nerida met her gaze, and after a moment, they both leaned in and burst out laughing.
Celeste Grant slung an arm around Nerida’s shoulders. "Hehe, to be honest, if it were really like that, I wouldn’t have any objections either."
’It’s only two husbands, after all.’
"Hahaha!"
The two of them huddled together, joking around.
Someone popped up beside them.
It was her son, Aaron Sinclair, who had sidled up to them. "Mother, what are you two discussing?"
Celeste Grant cleared her throat, placing two fingers on his forehead to push him back gently. She smiled and said, "This is grown-up stuff. Little kids shouldn’t be nosy."
"I actually already heard. Mother wants two daddies." Before he could finish, Celeste Grant grabbed the back of his neck with one hand and clamped the other over his mouth. "Hey, what nonsense is this little kid spouting? I do not, so don’t go making things up."
"Alright, alright, dear Mother! I’ll stop talking, okay?!"
Just as mother and son were speaking, little Elise Sinclair walked over to her brother. Her eyes lit up as she looked at him. "Wow! I get it, Brother! I have two daddies, a Big Daddy and a Little Daddy."
Hearing this, Celeste Grant and Nerida burst out laughing at the same time.
Celeste Grant looked at her daughter and laughed heartily. "Hahaha... Big Daddy and Little Daddy... I can’t even argue with that."
’Because she’s not wrong... no, wait... that’s not entirely accurate. If you really do the math, it should be Big Daddy, Second Daddy, and Little Daddy. To be precise, there should be three of them. He has two Primordial Spirit clones, plus his true body. Doesn’t that make three?’
"That’s hilarious." Nerida stepped forward, scooped up the little girl, and gave her a big kiss. "Ellie, my sweetheart, you’re so adorable! Give your auntie a kiss, mwah."
"HEE HEE..."
Her daughter’s giggles echoed far into the distance.
’For now, all we can do is wait. We’ll figure things out after Javier Sinclair returns.’
「That evening.」
「The Forbidden Land of the Demon Realm.」
「Deep within The Ninefold Abyss.」
Vines from a great, ancient tree snaked all through the mountains. At the heart of this sprawling network of vines grew the tree itself, lush and verdant, wreathed in its own tendrils. Nestled among its branches stood ancient structures. It was a time-worn palace, complete with elegant pavilions, terraces, small bridges over flowing streams—luxurious, yet understated.
This ancient tree was alive and had been growing in this place for tens of thousands of years.
At that moment, in a courtyard near the tree’s trunk, a man reclining on a wicker chair slowly opened his eyes. In that same instant, a pillar of blood-red light shot straight into the sky. Heaven and earth trembled, and the Demonic Qi in the air, as if answering a summons, began to converge directly upon The Forbidden Land.
The Demonic Qi surged into his body.
The man on the wicker chair sat up straight. He casually began forming hand seals, Divine Power flowing from his fingertips. He then raised a hand, pressing two fingers to his forehead.
The next moment, Demonic Qi and Divine Power coursed through his body. Behind him, the spectral image of a Dharma Body appeared, which then superimposed itself upon his physical form. The splintered portion of his Primordial Spirit had now returned to its vessel.
Primordial Spirit Unity was complete.
The aura of the Demon God, even though he had deliberately restrained it, was a force that could still be felt by everyone in the Demon Realm. This power was immense and absolute, yet it brought a sense of security to the entire realm.
"The Demon God has grown even stronger."
"I can feel it. This is the power of The Exalted One."
They bowed slightly in the direction of The Forbidden Land, their faces a mixture of awe and fervent devotion.
The Demon God was mighty, and he stood guard over the Demon Realm.
With him, they would not be bullied by outsiders.
After all, if the Demon God were truly gone, the Demon Realm would meet a terrible fate. Their lands would be stolen, their people slaughtered, and they would be forced into slavery, sent to toil in the mines, becoming slaves that anyone in the Immortal Realm could abuse.
This wasn’t just imagination; it was the law of the jungle, where the strong prey on the weak.
Back in the courtyard deep within The Ninefold Abyss, he was still seated on the wicker chair. His figure was long and lean, dressed in moon-white robes embroidered with a golden cloud pattern. Ink-black hair was draped casually over his shoulders. His face was devastatingly handsome, with narrow phoenix eyes, a high-bridged nose, and soft features that held a hint of roguish charm.
His face was the same as before, the only differences being the golden Demon Pattern on his forehead and his pair of golden eyes.
