Chapter 671 - 669: Archfiend, You’re Killing Me
Chapter 671: Chapter 669: Archfiend, You’re Killing Me
Celeste Grant’s fingers gently hooked his chin. She rubbed it lightly, leaned close to his ear, and whispered, "Mhm, you’re the boss." As she spoke, she wrapped her arms around his neck.
The man before her watched her quietly.
Suddenly, the hand on her waist tightened slightly. The next moment, he swept her up into his arms. He turned, his tall, slender figure carrying her as he walked deeper into the room. Behind them, the door slowly closed.
「In the room.」
Javier Sinclair laid her on the bed.
He held her by the waist and leaned down to kiss her lips. With one hand, his fingers hooked the sash of her robe and gave it a tug. Her nightgown loosened and fell open.
After the kiss, he looked up at her.
He reached out and gently stroked her hair.
Celeste Grant blinked, looking at the man before her. In his eyes, she could see her own reflection, her cheeks faintly flushed. His long hair cascaded over his shoulders and fell onto her body.
He spoke, "Wifey."
’Ooh, he called me Wifey.’
Celeste Grant started to laugh.
She reached out, grabbed his lapels, and pulled him closer. "Mhm, Hubby."
’He’s already calling me Wifey. I’ve got to at least cop a feel of his abs.’
Hearing her call him that, Javier Sinclair’s fingers tightened slightly on her waist. He lowered his head, kissed her again, and murmured, "This term of endearment from my lady’s hometown... I quite like it. Why don’t you call me Hubby a few more times tonight?"
As he spoke, he waved a hand, and the bed curtains fell, concealing the two of them.
The innocent Archfiend was gone, never to return.
「That night.」
He called her Wifey.
He called her My Lady.
He even called her darling in a soft voice.
Sweetheart, my love...
In the eyes of the outside world, he was the terrifying Archfiend whose name alone struck fear into people’s hearts. But in Celeste Grant’s eyes, he was her gentle and clingy husband.
「The next day.」
Celeste Grant woke up early.
She had just sat up in bed when the man beside her stirred and sat up too, wrapping his arms around her from behind.
Javier Sinclair, who was hugging her, had his robes wide open, revealing a firm chest and well-defined collarbones. He rested his head against the side of Celeste Grant’s face, looking like he hadn’t fully woken up.
"Where are you going, My Lady?"
His deep voice echoed softly in her ear, low and pleasant.
Held tightly in his embrace, Celeste Grant couldn’t break free. She turned her head slightly to give him a look (?_?). "Where am I going? I’m off to cultivate my relationship with Old Man Warren next door."
Hearing this, Javier Sinclair paused for a moment, then blinked.
"Cultivate your relationship with Old Man Warren next door?"
A hint of a smile was in his voice as he spoke. He nuzzled her cheek and murmured, "The weather’s getting cold. We should let Old Man Warren go warm himself by the lava pits of hell. It’s warmer there."
At this, Celeste Grant couldn’t help but burst out laughing. "Pfft... You really are the Archfiend! Your ideas are always so... unique. Haha... Poor Old Man Warren. You should spare him."
He let out a light huff. "For My Lady to be thinking so much about Old Man Warren... it must be because I haven’t been serving you well enough."
Celeste Grant laughed and poked his head. "Well, let me think..." she said softly. "I am a little dissatisfied with you."
Javier Sinclair raised an eyebrow and grabbed her hand, pulling her down into his lap. "Celeste Grant, are you provoking me?"
Celeste Grant blinked and quickly shook her head. "No, don’t be ridiculous."
His eyes were beautiful, and they were intensely focused on her. In the daylight, his golden irises were as brilliant as the sun.
"Tell me, what part of me is My Lady dissatisfied with?"
She felt the hand on her waist begin to travel downward, until his large hand grasped her leg. Celeste Grant quickly sat up and grabbed his wrist. "Satisfied, I’m satisfied! I’m very satisfied."
Javier Sinclair held her hand and murmured, "You sound a bit forced."
Celeste Grant quickly shook her head, forcing a smile. "Not at all, not forced in the slightest. Hubby, let me tell you, some things are best in moderation. You need a little self-control. There’s a saying: ’a gentle stream flows long.’"
He let out a soft chuckle.
Celeste Grant shot him a glare.
"What’s so funny?"
"Let go of me, I’m getting up."
"Mhm, I’ll listen to My Lady."
As he spoke, he released his arms from around her.
Celeste Grant glanced at him, and her figure flickered. In an instant, she was standing by the bed. She snapped her fingers, and her clothes changed into a set of light purple robes that gave her a crisp, fresh, and ethereal look.
"Hey, Javier Sinclair, aren’t you getting up?"
When she turned to look, she saw Javier Sinclair sitting casually on the bed. Celeste Grant’s gaze swept over him, her eyes landing on his open-robed chest. ’Tsk tsk, and I get to see this without a VIP subscription?’
’He’s mine, so I can look all I want without a subscription.’
Celeste Grant walked over and cupped his face in her hands. She planted a kiss on his cheek, then pulled him to his feet. "Get up, Archfiend."
"Alright."
The rest of the day was quite busy.
After moving to the Demon Realm, many people from the Demonic Domain began to suffer from being unable to acclimate to the new environment. After just one night, their faces had turned ashen and their Cultivation was in disarray, but this was a normal phenomenon. The solution was to drink a specialty of the Demon Realm: mountain spring water. Once they drank the spring water from the Demon Realm, the symptoms of their maladjustment would disappear.
The Demonic Domain was renamed the Bloodfiend Den and was officially integrated into the Demon Realm. Not only that, but officials were sent from above to register the new arrivals and issue them identity Jade Tokens for the Demon Realm. The Jade Tokens were specially forged and required a drop of blood for authentication.
This was their pass into the Demon Realm; outsiders would be unable to forge an identity.
Now that they had arrived at their home in the Demon Realm, there were certainly many things to do.
But none of it was urgent.
They would deal with it all after they had settled in.
...
「That afternoon.」
Celeste Grant’s family arrived at a Forbidden Land within the Demon Realm—the Ninefold Abyss.
This was not the main administrative center of the Demon Realm; the Demon Palace was not located here. The reason this place was a Forbidden Land was because it was the secluded residence of a Demon.
It was very quiet now, with no outsiders present. Only Celeste Grant’s family of four was here.
At that moment, Aaron Sinclair looked around and said, "This place looks nice. Mother, I’ll take my sister to look around nearby. You and Father can talk."
Celeste Grant nodded slightly. "Alright, go on! Watch over your sister."
Aaron Sinclair smiled. "I know, Mother. With me here, I won’t lose our Ellie."
"Brother, let’s go look over there."
"Okay."
Soon, the siblings’ figures vanished from sight.
After their children left, only Javier Sinclair and Celeste Grant remained in the courtyard.
Looking at the ancient architecture before them and the old tree growing in the courtyard, Celeste Grant stood beneath it with a look of astonishment, perhaps never having imagined a tree could grow so large.
"This tree... I can’t believe it grew so big."
Javier Sinclair grunted in affirmation.
"Mhm. This ancient tree has been growing here for tens of thousands of years. It’s quite old."
