Chapter 10: Tell me Everything

The guard looked me in the eye as he charged, he carried a rage in his eyes that pissed me off. They were the ones that chained me, punished me, put me through hell.

’How dare you get angry?’

He swung his blade at me with no hesitation, but I managed to slip under the attack and swing my stone up at the same time, it slammed into the side of his face, the skin burst open and blood rushed out as he staggered while I moved to find my footing.

I looked up and realized that he was not alone and two more men stood with him, one rushed over to help their partner who I just hit clean across the face.

I gripped the rock in my hand tighter.

"Go find the girl, we will handle this one," the one who had caught his partner said to the lash guard who immediately bolted.

"I’ll not let you," I said as I lunged at him, I tackled him to the ground and went for the swing, only for my hand to be caught in the air, I looked up and saw the one that had given the instruction holding my hands while the guard with the cut on his face rushed to attack me.

I gritted my teeth, knowing that I had to move as fast as possible, and rolled out of the way, evading the sword. I managed to get on my feet and looked up. The three of them faced me, each of them eager to kill the brat that had killed one of them, and all that I had was a rock.

I knew in that moment I could either choose to attack or run away, but if I ran away it would end in blood, mine and that of Lia.

"Sigh, why am I so worried about her?" I asked myself before proceeding to rush at one, I hurled the rock at full speed and it slammed into the head of the guard, which shocked the others, blood gushed from his forehead while I proceeded to tackle him to the ground and pry his sword from his hand. I managed to get it out before the second guard attacked, he tried to kick me and I stabbed the sword right into his leg.

"Ahhhhhhh!" he screamed at the top of his lungs and staggered back.

The third attacked from behind while I was looking away with a slash of his sword, the blade cut through my skin, blood gushed out and I collapsed forward, groaning in immediate pain.

"Arghhhh!"

I hit the ground hard as the blood gushed out, the men gathered around me, the one I stabbed rushing over madly, he began to kick me right in the guts. Each kick landed with the malice that he had against me and I took each with massive pain.

"That’s enough, let’s take them back," one said.

"No, I’m killing one brat," the one I stabbed said in anger and took his sword to stab me, but as his sword made its journey, a stream of golden flames surged through the air and slammed into the man, throwing him back hard, he hit a tree and collapsed to the ground with a massive burn in his chest.

I saw this and was stunned, raising my head up to see what was happening, and there I saw Lia. She floated above the ground with golden flame wings coming from her back and her eyes glowed bright.

The two men looked at her with confusion and fear. They subconsciously stepped back, scared of what she might do in that moment.

"How dare you?" She asked, "come after us even after what you have done to us all this time? Why can’t you all leave us alone?" She asked, tears streaming down her eyes as she spoke.

"I hate you, I hate you, I hate you all," she screamed toward the ending and pushed her hands forward, and a surge of flames shot out and slammed into one of the guards, engulfing him entirely. He screamed like a wild goat, but his screams lasted only a second before he collapsed to the ground and was left as a pile of ash.

The last guard saw this and his fear reached the peak.

"Ahhhhhhh!" he screamed and started running away, Lia rolled her hand together and created a fireball, which she hurled right at the guard, it slammed into him with a massive explosion and when the flames died down, his charred body was collapsed in a weird position on the ground.

I looked at the scene in disbelief as she killed each of them without hesitation or pause.

After she was done and her rage went away, she collapsed and fell. I rushed over fast and grabbed her before she hit the ground, managing to catch her safely, she was passed out.

I placed her against a tree safely and then stood up, I picked up a sword from the ground and walked to the only guard that was alive, the one that had gotten her first attack.

I grabbed the guard and shoved him against the tree hard, placing the sword in his neck.

"I’ll make this easy for you to understand once. Lie to me and you die," I said and pressed the sword harder on his neck until blood flowed out.

He nodded his head frantically and looked at me with pleading eyes.
