But after inheriting Rowan's laboratory, ranch, staff, and responsibilities, Gray finds himself balancing research, young trainers, League bureaucracy, and a growing circle of people who keep invading his carefully isolated life. An eccentric archaeologist, former high-level trainer, and obsessive student of Pokémon mythology, Gray would rather chase ruins than attend meetings. Unfortunately, strange discoveries begin pulling him toward questions surrounding Sinnoh's ancient creation myths. Along the way, Gray learns that people can be just as complicated, frustrating, and worthwhile as the mysteries he spends his life trying to solve.
