Raising My Trash Ability into a Broken SSS+ Rank Skill
Chapter 907: Vritra is Dead!!
"Huh? He... isn’t here?" the crying monk was completely baffled and confused.
He contacted his staff again right away, which was still present in this realm but Vritra was nowhere around it.
He double checked, then triple checked, and after over fifty times in a row, the crying monk still couldn’t locate Vritra.
Finally, his scalp tingled uncomfortably and cold sweat trickled down his bald head, and a line he had said not long ago echoed in his mind.
’If anything, I am at least 100% sure that Vritra can escape that place alive, he won’t die there.’
He had believed that with his whole heart.
Those weren’t the exact words he had used, but the feeling behind them was the same.
But now, Vritra was gone completely. What happened?
He kept asking himself the same question, unable to find an answer.
Was any of the Titan still alive somewhere? Or did it revive from some fragment? That was the only possible reason he could think of.
But the crying monk was not here to find reasons right now, he was here for Vritra who was gone.
It took him nearly a full hour to calm down, his body completely drenched in sweat as he thought of something.
’Yes, maybe he just drifted away from the staff, although it’s impossible but that has to be true.’ Crying monk gave a mental order.
The staff moved all across the place at once, flashing to different parts rapidly to places it had been and to some distant places.
After that was done, the crying monk pulled the staff out quickly and checked the results.
"H- He really isn’t anywhere there?!!"
His voice cracked as he said it, barely believing his own words.
GULP
This was the first time the crying monk was feeling so deeply troubled, as if he had made some unchangeable and unforgivable mistake.
’Right, let’s check the fragments of titans carefully, maybe one of those fragments ate him, and he is still alive inside.’
The crying monk breathed heavily and sent the staff back inside again, as it went through another long search, this time with even more detailing.
In his confusion and dread, crying monk didn’t even bother to check the reason behind the end of the session.
Nor how many lives have been used and are left, and many other such important details were all overlooked by him.
After some time had passed, the staff was done scanning the place and he received the signal at last.
So he pulled out the staff again since he couldn’t check the scanning results while being separated by this realm.
Just as the staff finally appeared, he hurriedly got a hold of it and scanned through everything.
"W- Wha- What the hell?!!" the crying monk almost stumbled backward, except there was no footing so he remained floating in place.
His eyes opened so wide that they were almost ready to pop out.
"...G- Gone?!"
The word barely made it past his lips.
He was a true powerhouse at the level of higher beings, the current ruler of his house and a being that everyone respected wherever he went.
This was the first time in his entire life he had been so shaken that he didn’t know if it was reality or just a dream.
Just now he had noticed that somehow all the fragments of the titans had disappeared, and finally his doubt was confirmed.
A titan had regained consciousness fully and to regain its full strength, it had devoured the fragments and probably along with it, Vritra was gone too.
This was such an unlucky thing to happen.
He clutched his chest as the thought sank in fully.
Why did it have to happen now of all times? When it all was his responsibility, where the fuck is divine?!!
Wasn’t divine also trapped in that place before all this? Wait, how and when did he get out of there? Did he ever get out at all?
The crying monk couldn’t remember if divine had ever actually managed to exit that realm, his avatars were outside and he had even created a new titan, but wasn’t he himself still trapped inside all along?
’Wait, don’t tell me divine actually used Vritra to get out of there!’ he wondered but then shook his head firmly.
Divine isn’t that type of person... is he? Wait, he wouldn’t at least hurt his own sisters, so there is no way he would do something to Vritra for his own benefit, right?
For now, crying monk kept his wavering belief in divine steady somehow, and the tears falling down thickened, Vritra was really devoured by some titan.
And that titan probably somehow managed to escape somewhere, or maybe it was still busy devouring the distant fragments.
After all, his staff definitely couldn’t scan the entire realm in such a short amount of time, he only managed to scan some parts of it.
Therefore, he was quite sure there must be many more fragments still present in the far distance.
Shaking his head firmly, he got rid of all distracting thoughts.
SOB SOB
Vritra... he is gone.
He couldn’t stop the thought from repeating over and over in his mind.
Finally, as reality fully settled in his mind, the crying monk felt strength leave his body completely, just thinking of facing his family made him feel dizzy.
What was he going to answer to his parents, to all his wives, to Shitless and Onest. Not to mention, Yasmine is pregnant right now, it won’t be long before she gives birth.
The crying monk’s body went completely limp all at once and he almost got lost in the endless dark space, nearly pulled into the realm before him.
Thankfully, there was a kind young guy standing right beside him at that moment, who held his shoulder firmly and pulled him back, even handing over a handkerchief.
"T- Thank you SOB"
"No problem."
He said it simply, with a small reassuring smile.
The crying monk wiped his tears slowly, then sighing to himself, he stared at the realm for a while longer and felt completely heartbroken inside.
Finally, he gathered his scattered emotions and knew it was time to go back and tell everyone that he has failed them all, a tragedy has occurred.
"Feeling better?" the kind man standing beside him, whose body was covered by greenish flames, asked.
He waited patiently for a reply, not pushing him to hurry.
"Hmm" the crying monk nodded while sobbing continuously, then opened a portal in front of them: "Let’s go."
The two passed through the portal together and directly returned to the higher being realm.
The crying monk stared at the house of darkness for a while longer and finally mustered every bit of his courage to face them all, he was ready to get as many insults, curses, even beatings by them.
Not even expecting any forgiveness at all.
He had accepted whatever fate awaited him.
’I am a sinner, I truly deserve to die.’ Finally he walked towards the door slowly and knocked.
Without a pause, the door opened right away as the person inside had been waiting for all this time, this only made the monk feel even more sad.
Everyone was indeed waiting eagerly for Vritra’s return, he had informed them in advance that he was going to bring him back and that they should prepare a big party.
Just in case, if Vritra had failed to complete the objective, it could cheer him up instead.
But now that party had turned into an offering to the dead.
With a heavy heart, the crying monk entered the house slowly and saw the smiley faces of over ten people, all looking on with anticipation.
He looked around once more and saw all the decorations, they had done so much work on the entire house. The walls, paintings, everything.
There was even a cake with a message written on it, ’Welcome Back!’
They were all dressed in beautiful new clothes, looking so happy and excited. Onest and Shitless were even holding banners, to welcome and cheer up Vritra.
The crying monk covered his mouth tightly with both hands, moved his head to the side and sobbed silently, his shoulders shaking uncontrollably.
"Father, what’s wrong?" Shitless asked.
Finally, the crying monk fell to his knees completely and started crying and begging, asking the heavens to give him infinite deaths.
Turn him into a dog who could never eat again, make him an insect that gets eaten by others.
From behind the crying Crying Monk, a lone person stepped forward and finally the flames around his body subsided completely.
Seeing him, everyone’s eyes sparkled brightly as they stared at him in surprise and happiness.
It was none other than Vritra himself!
The whole room seemed to hold its breath in that instant.
Looking immensely handsome and with such a mysterious and powerful aura radiating around him, it almost felt like he had transformed into someone else entirely.
Thankfully, he still greatly resembled his past self in most ways.
Currently, his hair was long and flowing, clothes looking a bit rough and battle type.
The eyes of all his women were completely stuck to him at once, smitten and falling for him all over again, they found themselves getting lost as they looked deeply into his red pupils.
The time itself seemed to have paused as Vritra looked at his family, before a small smile finally appeared on his face.
Finally, he was truly back home after a million years spent away.
