The villagers did not need to ask Aiden to be able to tell that the person beside him was divine and dangerous. Her presence alone was enough.

But people also knew Aiden well enough to know that he wouldn’t keep a random person by his side like this. So they were all convinced—the person...no, the entity beside him was Goddess Apophis.

It was not uncommon for gods and goddesses to take human form to mingle among humans. Some were really obvious about it, while others preferred to remain silent and watch.

But there was one rule whenever you noticed this—you should never go and ask the one in disguise whether they were a god, as it could anger them.

The villagers, who had grown up on such folktales, knew better than to ask. But this sparked a new sense of interest and determination among them.

Aiden, who did not realize what was happening, kept leading his goddess around without a care in the world.

Since the sun was finally high enough, the shops had opened. And the first thing he did with his goddess was take her clothes shopping.

Goddess Apophis had plenty of clothes, so she did not need many more. The people who came to visit her brought various kinds of gifts for her, and some were the most expensive stuff in this village.

Those clothes she was offered were made especially for the occasion, so how could they compare to the ones in the shop? Even the most luxurious clothes failed to match the gifts.

And yet, Goddess Apophis draped them on her body with a smile on her face as she twirled around.

"Aiden, how do I look? Does this suit me?"

She asked, finally getting rid of her dress for a more modern attire of pants and a girly top. She looked nice, but that was nothing new.

His goddess always looked nice in his eyes.

But still...such poorness did not suit his goddess.

"The outfit is good, and it looks amazing on you. But isn’t the fabric a little too stiff? What if it causes you to not be able to move? I think we should ask for a custom outfit for you from the best material and-"

"But that is no fun. I want us to match today as we walk around. And a custom outfit will take too long. Just help me choose one from the pair and you change into the other one."

Aiden would rather not do that. He liked his simple style of jeans and T-shirts that he wore often these days. They were comfortable and did not hinder him.

But if his goddess wanted him to match...

"Alright. Please let me see which ones are available."

Since their outfits were all the same quality, he might as well go for comfort over fashion this time.

As expected, his goddess looked amazing in her outfit, which made Aiden feel proud of his choice. She looked so good that he could see people sneaking glances at her (it was for another reason).

He quickly stood up and covered her back with his own body before he led her out. He did not want others to look at her. Especially when she was human like this.

Goddess Apophis grabbed his arm and looked at his slightly jealous expression.

"I think we should do this more often. I like this look on your face a lot."

She reached out for his cheeks and touched them lightly. It caused his body to tingle, but Aiden just smiled at his goddess.

"If this is something you want, then we can do it more often."

Aiden would have to move his schedule around a little (or a lot) to get time for this. But he did not mind. This was what his goddess wanted from him after all.

And whatever she wanted, he was willing to give.

The date continued peacefully after that, and Aiden found himself enjoying the time more than he had expected and no other accident took place.

They visited several shops, tried different foods, and even stopped by a small tea shop where Goddess Apophis became fascinated by the different flavors available.

Aiden had to stop her from buying almost everything she saw.

"My goddess, you do not need five different types of tea."

"But they all smell different."

"That does not mean you need all of them."

Aiden sighed at her stubbornness but eventually agreed to let her buy two different varieties. He did not mind buying her more than two, but his goddess seemed like she wanted to argue.

And if she wanted to argue, then who was Aiden to deny her this right?

After that, they continued walking through the village while holding hands. Aiden noticed that more and more people were looking at them, but he did not pay much attention to it.

Goddess Apophis, on the other hand, seemed to enjoy every second of it.

She would occasionally lean closer to Aiden or hold his arm tighter whenever someone looked at them for too long. ℯℯ𝘭.

It was obvious what she was trying to show.

’She really is enjoying this...’

Aiden could not help but smile.

His goddess rarely had the chance to walk around freely like this, and he wanted her to enjoy every moment.

As the sun started to set, they finally reached a small hill overlooking the village. Today the village almost seemed like it was holding a festival in order to welcome their goddess and Aiden could not help but smile at that.

Goddess Apophis quietly rested her head against Aiden’s shoulder.

"This is nice."

Aiden looked toward her and smiled.

"I am glad you enjoyed today."

"I always enjoy my time when you are around. But I guess this was different from usual."

She paused before looking at him.

"I especially liked being able to spend the entire day with you without having to worry about anything."

Aiden felt his heart soften at those words.

"I enjoyed it too, my goddess."

Goddess Apophis smiled before wrapping her arms around his waist before resting her face against his neck.

It felt nice. But unfortunately, they did not have any more time starting next day.
